Mr. Figg visited my house and took note of the several projects and repairs that were needed. He provided me a rough estimate of the costs, indicating that final costs would be more or less based on what he found to be the actual causes. As each project was undertaken, Mr. Figg kept me informed on a daily basis, alerting me to complications that necessitated additional attention.
He was meticulous and thorough with each project but nevertheless worked quickly and with efficiency. His manner was unfailingly polite and cheerful, inspiring confidence and allaying concerns about costs. He provided informative answers when asked.
His work required that he be in and out of the house which he managed unobtrusively.
Normally I really dislike the necessity of having strangers in the house but Mr. Figg's demeanor and competence did not disturb in the least.
