The work was EXCELLENT: I give it a 100 out of 100; Professional work, attention to detail, very communicative in explaining what they were doing and why; reasonable price. The last day they spent 2 hours taking down supports, washing and scrubbing the driveway (3 times!!!) I can not think of a single negative criticism to make!!WOW

Very well. Charley gave us a reasonable estimate and that is what we paid him. He and his crew re-bricked the back side of the chimney, replaced several other bricks that were damaged, caulked everywhere, cleaned and sealed the entire chimney and repaired the little metal door on the bottom of the outside of the chimney. He even removed the cap and let me know that the inside was clean and did not need to be sweeped. He and his crew were friendly and answered all of my questions. I highly recommend them.

The Baker Stone folks did the job quite well and quickly

The job went very well. They harvested old brick from the attic chimney (which was about to fall), carefully cut and removed layers of old plaster, making a minimal repair hole, and then rebuilt the chimney in the upstairs bedroom. They repeated the process in the kitchen below, taking out only the plaster necessary and rebuilding that, as well, with the original bricks from the attic. Charley and Mike left clean, straight openings for new drywall, and only what was necessary. Then the guys finished in the basement, tuckpointing and stabilizing this four-story interior chimney. They protected floors and cleaned up, too. All three men--Charley, Mike, and Harry, were professional, polite, and knowledgeable.

They've done a lot of work for me and every single time the go above and beyond. Outstanding people!!

Charley and Mike were very friendly and professional. They were communicative, letting us know when they would (and would not) be showing up. They delivered what we wanted, not simply what we asked for, which seems like a rare quality these days. Our retaining wall has never looked better, and my wife's office has been dry despite a few recent downpours. The only downside is now my wife wants them to come back and do a million more projects, so I guess I better figure out how to make more money.

These people were outstanding. Highly competent, paid close attention to detail, but also identified source of water problem and designed an engineering/construction solution. The price was extremely reasonable and they improved my home. Very bright, analytic, and hard workers - had a crew of about 4-5 men so work was completed quickly. I would be surprised if anyone could find better stone masons in the area.

The Baker Stone work crew showed up on time and did very high quality work. The hearth looks better than when we first moved in 17 years ago before the deterioration set in. Would definitely call Baker Stone work again!!

Charley and Mike did a great job. They seemed to take a real interest in the work that needed to be done on my chimney and fireplace. They gave me an estimate and stuck to that price even when they did work beyond what was listed in the estimate. They looked for inexpensive ways to help us use the fireplace again and came back repeatedly until they could complete the work in the middle of winter weather. I highly recommend them and will use them in the future.

It's been great. They were very helpful. They told me that it wasn't the stonework, that it was just the cover around it. They said everything was fine, and they filled a little crack.

We would hire Baker Stonework again. Charley and Mike gave us a lot of information as we decided which contractor to go with. They helped diagnose our drainage problems and gave us good recommendations on how to fix them. We were pleased with the quality of the work, the care they took with our yard and how well they cleaned up. They went "above and beyond" in the care they took in fixing the basement walls that needed tuckpointed. They even fixed the creaky basement door. The price might be a touch higher than other contractors, but I think got what we paid for. One year later, their repairs are holding up perfectly.

They were terrific. I think the quality of their work was just out standing and they worked very well with my wife and I. The initial contact with them was in 2013 and we worked on proposal and they said they would get back to us and once they got back to us the things went very well.

The gentlemen were wonderful to work with. From our first meeting I felt like we were in good hands. From the initial inspection of our home to the job completion they were very professional. We are very pleased with the repairs made and the quality of workmanship . They started the work and completed the work as promised and left everything in good order. I would most definitely use them again and highly recommend them.

They reseeded over the area that had to be dug up and left the lawn in good condition. They arrived on time and worked hard until they were finished. I will hire them for other drainage, regrading, and patio work in the Spring/Summer. They came highly recommended and lived up to that recommendation. Very polite too.

The chimney needs major masonry work tear down to the roof line and rebuild up before roof can be replaced. They came out on time as scheduled and delivered the quote the next day on weekend. They were able to start the project right away. Two days later, our chimney looks beautiful. We are very pleased with the work.

I got two quotes for installing natural stone veneer on my fireplace. Baker Stone Work quoted $2,000 for materials and $6,000 for labor. Mark Millhoff quoted $900 for labor, plus materials, which ended up costing just over $1,000 - using exactly the same stone from the same company as what Baker Stone quoted! Since Mark Millhoff came highly recommended by several of my neighbors, I hired him. He did a beautiful job, and had it completed in two days. Baker Stone Work quoted FOUR TIMES what I paid Mark Millhoff, and I can't imagine how they could have done a better job. Something else I should mention is that before he sent his quote, Charley at Baker Stone Work told me they wouldn't charge me any more for the materials than what they cost Baker, yet their quote for materials was TWICE what the materials actually cost. Mark Millhoff gave me receipts for all of the materials. I would NOT recommend Baker Stone Work, but I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Mark Millhoff.

Work was professionally done and coordinated well with carpenter who also had some work to do. Only complaint was that cleanup was deficient.

BAKER STONE WORK have plenty of workers and, they stay on job and are busy. It's a big project but, they are meticulous, punctual and everything is good.

The whole process went very well. They were very easy to work with. We made several design changes from our original plans and they made some very helpful suggestions. They determined that we would be totally satisfied with the finished project, we were more than this, we were very pleased.
