Advanced Direct Security - ADT Authorized Company

As far as alarm systems I know I'm going to buy one, I got ADT down here to make a presentation the more we checked on them the more we found out that they are the most expensive people in the world and they actually get in to change your wiring around to make you a slave to their system. I was not impressed with the way that they sold it, and quot;You have got to do it right now.and quot; We didn't go with them because of price and during research we found out there were better systems out there that cost a lot less money. I thought their charges were outrageous and it was floppy with a three year contract and they are not very flexible. I needed something that was a lot closer to 10 to 15 bucks a month and not paying any money upfront and then I get locked in. Other than that I don't have any strong feelings about it.

We used them when we first moved in, we are not using them any more. They were okay, at the time, I was active duty military, and I was moving my wife and kids home, and we weren't real familiar with the area, but we knew there were somethings going on in the area, so I wanted to make sure that she had a security system to help her out, and it kind of helped protect her. After being here for a little while, we realized we didn't need it anymore. Part of the problem is that we live in a modular, and we have a garage, but they are not attached, and there is a 120 feet difference between the house and the garage. In order to have the garage protected as well, they had to run a line from the main system in the house, out to the main garage. When I was doing a consultation with the main guy, from the regional office here, he told me about different things that would go one, and he told me thats how they would do it, and I told him, that was fine. After they did it, and I came back home, a couple of months later, that line was laying around the ground. I asked why it was not buried in the ground, and my wife said that the technician said that it was not part of their job. During the consultation, I was told that everything would be taken care of, and we wouldn't have any problems, and there is 120foot cable laying out. We live in the country, and there is a bunch of wild animals out here, and part of the problem was that it ended getting chewed up. Whenever I called the ADT local office about it, they would ask why I didn't bury it. I paid them so much money for the system and so much for the installation, I shouldn't be doing part of the installation for them. They were punctual, and would be here whenever they were supposed to.
