Eric was great! Very communicative and friendly, and he dealt with all the surprises one can come across in an old house that's been remodeled questionably in the past, like that some of the old fixtures were attached directly to the sheetrock and needed boxes installed. He stayed late to finish the job, and we couldn't be happier with his work. Very thorough overall. I look forward to working with him again as we continue to remodel our house.

This is our second time using Eric. We installed a ceiling fan last fall in the entry way. Then again this spring we had him install two additional fans and replace a light switch. Eric has been great! Always professional, on time, and explains any change in cost as he does his work (we needed a new box for one of the ceiling fans). We are planning on finishing the lighting soon and Eric will be the first person we call. We are not able to do all of the remodeling at one time but as we can afford it, and Eric has been great.

Since everything is behind the wall, it is not clear whether the wires are from the ceiling or floor. There is a power outlet, a cable outlet and a telephone outlet that needs to be removed. Eric demonstrated excellent problem solving skills and was able to identify the ends of all the cable and telephone wires from the ceiling and pulled everything out. He also moved the location of the power outlet to a new desired location. Everything was done within 2 hours, including very neat clean-up.

We first contacted Eric when we saw he had posted a special deal on Angie's List. We were so impressed by his work, his professionalism, his knowledge of electrical codes and his suggestions for resolution of electrical issues that we scheduled him for two more appointments, and intend to have him come back in the near future for more projects. He is personable and works very efficiently.

Eric was fabulous. Very responsive. Came and gave me an estimate of how long he thought it would take and what his hourly rate was. Put me on his calendar and always kept me informed. He was very trustworthy and I felt fine leaving him to work while I was at work. He left a very neat place and his work was great. We definitely will be calling him again in our new home when we finish our upstairs and our basement. Great electrician! Thanks Angie's List.

Eric was great. He obviously has many years experience and is meticulous in his work. He took special care to cleanup afterwards and even took time to show me some simple fixes I could do, if so inclined. .Eric Hanson is a professional in all manner of his service. He responded to our email, offered to come on the week-end, if we needed him. We set a time for Monday and he called prior to his arrival to make sure he had directions. He quickly assessed the problem and replaced an outlet and rewired another one. He explained what he was doing and why it would be best to do it. I appreciated his expertise and his ability to remedy the situation in a timely manner. He also offered other good suggestions, which we will consider. In addition to his electrical skills and knowledge, he also had time to rehang a curtain rod, which was on our to-do list, but was not going to get done anytime soon! Not only did he rehang the rod, but also covered the nail holes that we had made. He cleaned the areas where he worked. We will definitely call him again, not only for electrical problems, but other maintenance issues. He has a friendly personality and I believe he truly wants to do an excellent job for his customers. Before I contacted him, I read many other reviews of his work. I was impressed that he took the time to respond to those reviews. So very pleased with his work and so glad to be able to give him an "A" in every category.

What a pleasure to have Eric do work in our home. He is a pleasure to be around, worked efficiently and quickly. We chose him not only on his great Angie's List reviews but because of the thoughtful way he responds to those who review his work.

I called Eric after I had done something stupid that caused the lights to go out in half of the house. He reassured me over the phone that it was not a dangerous situation, and he then gave up part of his Saturday evening to come out and fix the problem. While he was here, he explained it in detail and showed me how to avoid having it happen again in the future, and he even took the time to show me a tool that he carries in his truck that would make the job I'd been doing so much easier. I trust Eric completely, and I am very glad to know him! Not only is he a great electrician, he is a great guy. And a very patient one, too!

Eric was outstanding. We had serious electrical problems at our home ? some of them caused by another local electrician who apparently did substandard work. Eric was highly organized ? was there when he said he would be and worked efficiently to resolve problems; was very experienced after 16 years of honing his electrician skills; was able to trouble-shoot accurately; was willing to move his schedule around due to the seriousness of our problems; and was very thorough in going throughout our home (including the attic and basement) which uncovered additional problems and fixed them. In addition to all of his skills, he is extremely personable, attentive to keeping the customer informed, clear on outlining what will be done including time frames and cost, and willing to answer questions to help a customer understand the problems and the corrective actions needed. He gave us his best estimate on labor and costs ? and then was able to do the work for less. Because our job was major, we had more exposure to Eric than would generally be the case. He feels like a friend, certainly one you would rely upon and trust. We highly endorse him and his work.

Eric is awesome. He is professional, personable, and does a great job. Eric squeezed us in right before Thanksgiving so that our house looked great for the holidays. He explained everything and did a top notch job. He was also incredibly clean and tidy. A couple of weeks ago I received a check in the mail from Eric. He had accidentally overcharged us. He could have kept the money and we would have never known. This speaks so highly of his integrity. I won't ever hire an electrician other than Eric.

A few days before Christmas our water heater decided to stop working. After doing some research and talking to someone at Lowes, we found out that we have a powervent water heater which is a special type of gas water heater that includes a blower motor to push the exhaust out more efficiently. Long story short, powervent water heaters are more than double the cost of a normal gas water heater so we explored the costs of switching from gas to electric. I called Eric and he was able to come out to our house the next day and put together a quote so we could see what costs would be involved for making the switch. I try to use local businesses whenever possible and I thought the labor costs and the overall quote we received was very reasonable. Eric was very accommodating and was able to come out quickly to get everything ready for me to install our new water heater. He was very friendly and extremely professional and I will (and already have) recommended him to family and friends. He will be the first person I call for any electrical work I need in the future. All in all, I'm still coming out hundreds of dollars ahead of where I would be had I replaced the defective water heater with another powervent water heater so I'm extremely satisfied with the switch over as well.

We were impressed with his efficiency, professionalism, and general friendliness and pleasantness. Plus he cleaned up all his mess.

He completed the service and I'm just waiting for some other things to be done. I just liked everything about him. He's punctual, polite, nice to have around working and smart. It turned out very well. He also hanged a television for me from the wall. I would use him again in the future.

Eric is an excellent electrician. He is very competent, professional, prompt, neat, and thorough. He explains issues completely and fully. It is a genuine pleasure and relief to find a service technician who insists on things done to high standards; he does not do "good enough." As long as we are in Bloomington, he will be our electrician.

After the earlier confusion about the service dates, Eric more than redeemed himself. He did a great job. And we're delighted with his work. He's an A+ electrician again in our eyes..

He contacted me by phone to confirm time and date and also items to be supplied. Arrived on time and did the work . He was a 'gentle man' did a wonderful job, cleaned up after himself and was pleasant to have in my home. I would reccomend him to all.

When Eric did some earlier work for me, we discussed my desire to get a standby generator that would come on automatically during a power outage and power the whole house. He told me that he'd be glad to do the electrical work, so when the units went on sale, I purchased one and had it delivered. Eric then came out with another electrician to assist him, and together they got the generator and transfer switch installed and wired and tested. Eric is not just a great electrician but also a great guy--extremely professional and meticulous. I couldn't recommend him more highly.

We agreed on Friday afternoon. He called in the morning to firm up a time.when he arrived we discussed what my immediate needs were .- ceiling fan installation. He installed it that day. He gave me an estimate for replacing my outside lights. When I decide on and purchase outside fixtures, I will definitely call Eric to do the job.

Eric called before he came, and arrived on time. He discussed the job with me to get all the details, then clearly explained my options and the cost of each. Once I made a decision, he went to buy the parts he needed, returning promptly. He completed the job quickly and neatly, and charged a reasonable fee. Eric is intelligent, knowledgeable, and professional. I highly recommend him.

The job went better than it should have. Two of the five lights were 8-in non-IC eyeball ceiling fixtures that had to be replaced completely. That involved removing the in-room parts and going into the attic to remove the old-school steel boxes designed to create space between non-IC fixtures and insulation. Eric replaced those with 4-inch ceiling boxes and drywalled the original 8-inch hole around them. The other three lights were 6-in eyeballs that required only swapping out the trim and baffle. Unfortunately, although the cans should have been new enough to do that, it turned out that today?s baffle/trim could not be mounted on them. Eric had to go out and get three new cans, go back into the attic, and mount all?new fixtures. Eric had made time in his schedule to do the work because the house had been put on the market and was to be the focus of a realtor reception the next day. Because of the glitch with the three smaller cans, Eric had to work until 9:00 PM to get the job done. This was the last in a series of 13 jobs totaling more than $6,000 over the course of a four-year remodel. The established relationship is not why Eric went out of his way for us, however. The first time we called him we were in a similar schedule bind. We could not reach our usual electrician so we turned to Angies?s List. Eric didn?t know us at all, but he came out that evening and did what we needed.

It went fine but I do not remember how much the service cost because I do not pay attention to that stuff. They were professional. They came and did the job. Their price was reasonable.

Very professional and he stuck to the plan. Gave me an estimate and stuck with that. Came out when he was supposed to and got the job done and was great.
