Eric is great to work with. He came out and gave us an estimate. He is professional, explains what needs to be done, provided a reasonable estimate. The day of the installation, he showed up on time, had all of his supplies and was ready to start work. He cleaned up after his work, and explained everything to us. He also does other kind of work (remodeling, drywall, etc). I am sure we will call him again for any work that needs to be done in the future.

Eric is a great guy to work with. He explained everything that would need to happen and how he would get the outlets out to the back patio from the house. He cordinated the people for the underground utilities along with the trencher to dig the area for the line. He even hand dug and covered up the line by himself. This is the second time we've used him and we will continue to us him because he is professional and does quality work.

He purchased all the materials needed including the power attic fan,. He then got on roof to enlarge roof hole to accommodate the power fan (included removing smaller vent) and then went into the attic to run the power to the fan. He then did the work to add the outlet and attach it to inconspicuous place near bottom of deck. All workmanship was excellent, and he was quick and efficient in performing the work.. He also picked up all the small wire clippings, wire insulation scraps and materials used in the work, including the old vent and removed it from the site. Left our property without a trace of having been there. The power vent lowered the temp in our upstairs as desired. The factory setting on the humidistat caused it to run more than desired, (At times when exterior temp was low, but humidity was high) so I called Eric, and he came out, got back in the attic and upped the setting (at no charge even though it was not of his doing). All has been fine since the reset. Eric is the owner and he does all the work himself. He was very personable, very efficient and cost effective. It's great to find a first class professional these days. I would not hesitate to call him for any work that involves electricity. And in fact, highly recommend him for same.

Everything was done within tight time constraints, done expertly and to the satisfaction of ourselves and our tenants. I liked working with him because he is skilled but also an extremely nice and trustworthy person. I would definitely work with him again if the need should arise, and recommend him without reservation to anyone needing a well-rounded handyman who also happens to be a great guy.

Eric was at our home on 4 different occasions to complete our list of repairs and requests. He was punctual, but again, might be several days or longer before he could return due to busy schedule. Only complaint was the cost of the closet upgrade. We did not ask for an estimate, so partly our fault. I think he was surprised at the time it took to complete also. Closet required some drywall and beadboard application and really was quite an improvement to our bathroom. Again, when we pointed out our surprise at how long it took,( he does charge by the hr), he finished the shelving without an additional charge, which we appreciated. Always,his clean up was thorough.

This was the second time I had Eric help with some electrical projects in my home. Eric is prompt, courteous and professional. He is a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend him to everyone!

Eric did a perfect job installing a number of cam lights and under cabinet lights and several floor plugs. His work was performed exactly as he promised in his estimate and on budget. He was punctual, polite and extremely helpful in explaining his work for us. He was exceedingly neat, cleaning up completely each day. We highly recommend him.

It went very well. The work comprised three one-day sessions beginning in late April and ending in late May. It was part of a major home renovation that began in the fall of 2009. This job focused on rewiring the kitchen and moving circuits in the adjacent rooms. Eric knew exactly what was required because he'd already put in six one-day stints, most devoted to upgrading the low voltage wiring to line voltage in anticipation of the present kitchen remodel. As a solo operator, Eric controls his schedule as well as the quality of his work. Schedule flexibility was important in this job because each day we needed Eric to work required about a week of site prep that could not be done until Eric had finished the previous one-day's work. That flexibility let us benefit from the most convenient, economical schedule.

Eric is very professional and very detailed in his bidding and completion of work. He arrived on time, and kept in touch via phone whenever we had any questions. He is personable, patient and very thorough. Excellent experience, no problems, and would recommend and use his expertise again.

Eric called about 15 minutes before appointment to let us know he was on his away. Arrived on time. Explained fees up front. Got right to work and worked quickly. Answered all my questions. Very friendly and professional. No wasted time, no mess, and cost was reasonable. I would recommend Eric to anyone needing electrical work done.

We had an excellent experience with Eric and absolutely plan to make use of his services in the future (though he advised us that we could save our money by taking on this particular project ourselves). He walked us through the steps of the project that we proposed, described the tools that we would need, and gave helpful hints along the way. Throughout the interaction he was professional, timely, knowledgable, easy to understand and just really cool.

Absolute was called and returned call after 20 minutes. Serviceman was nearby during lunch hour and arrived 10 minutes later. I have never experienced such rapid service, much of it by chance, but a very willing wookman. He examined breaker and found it operating correctly. He next examined location of circut, quickly discovered the GFCI duplex outlet, and reset it. I stated the light and garage door circuit were intermittant so he examined it more closely and discovered the GFCI itself was intermittant. He checked his truck twice and found he indeed had a replacement. At first, I was 'kicking myself', I had not tried the reset but realized later that I did not have the experienced skill and imagination to understand GFCIs could be intermittant and that one could cause a general circuit outage.

Eric is extremely professional and does great work. He calls to confirm your appointment, shows up on time and clearly explains the work he is doing so that a non-specialist can understand. When he fixed the 3-way switches that I messed up when changing to newer ones, he taught me how to install them correctly. He also gave me some pointers on other aspects of home electric and maintenance. I would definitely hire Eric again for any electrical work I need done.

My regular electrician couldn't do the job because he already had a commitment and he called Eric from AEM who had the time to come over. An ice storm "fried" my electrical box in my house so I had no power and the whole thing needed to be replaced on an emergency basis. Eric was very nice and professional and prompt . He did the work quickly and very well. He even went to far as to come back to my house at 10 pm (because the electric company couldn't re-hook up my meter base until 9 pm due to the storm) to check that it worked and finish hooking everything up so that I had heat rather than have my pipes freeze. He was really amazing and I would highly recommend him.

Great professionalism. It took us several weeks to get him because he was so busy, but he was worth it. Very clean and net and cleaned up after himself. Very good at listening to what we wanted and where. Wish all in home professionals were this thorough. Would use again!

Eric was prompt with his estimate and worked with me to find a date to do the work. He gathered the information needed from me and the spa company so that when he arrived to do the install he had everything he needed. He did the job quickly but thoroughly and his clean up was great. He's also a very nice guy and my 12-year old son enjoyed talking with him about the job. I recommend him for any electrical work you have.

Excellent. It takes a while to get on the schedule, but the wait is well worth worth it. Eric is very professional, concerned with safety and respectful of both you and your property. He offered helpful suggestions. He even fixed a couple of minor little things I didn't notice until he was gone (replaced the clip on my breaker box door, now the door actually shuts!) I have already asked him to quote some additional work for me, and he will definitely be my electrician of choice from now on.

Eric arrived and immediately made friends with my two active dogs. He was prepared for the job and performed it within the estimated time. Eric thoroughly cleaned up after the work was completed. I felt totally comfotable having him in my home. He was pleasant and easy to be around. He did not even mind my dog running off with his gloves; more than once. I would highly recommend Eric and plan to call him again for future projects. I am compiling my list as we speak.

Extremely well, which is not to say, "without incident." We used a intact rotted stringer to determine the tread depth, riser height, and angle of ascent. In a plumb-square application, that would have been the end of the engineering, but this stairway led from a second-floor screen porch to a first-floor top-rock walk and it had been stick-built rather than prefabbed. Nothing was square or plumb. Eric cut all the angles on the new stringers precisely to the template, but with both upper and both lower anchor points already determined by the old steps there were no degrees of freedom that would have allowed the new steps to be bench-built plumb and square. All three stringers required several sequences of attempted placement, measure to identify the problem, trim to correct the problem, the attempt placement again. The process added about half a day to the job, but it was necessary and the outcome was a precise fit. But there was another challenge. The four anchor points we had to use resulted in a stairway that was not precisely perpendicular to the porch joists. In order to make the treads and risers parallel to the porch joists, Eric had to bevel his precisely square stringer cuts with a Sawsall, adding another few hours to the job. Not adding time, but requiring an on-the-spot aesthetic judgment, we decided to abandon rectangular treads in favor of slight parallelograms that would follow the off-square line of the stringers. For the same reason, we cut the riser edges a bit off 90 degrees. It should be said that the plumb-square adventure demonstrates Eric's skill in identifying and responding to anomalies, not any failure to anticipate them. There was no visual that the old steps were not perpendicular because the treads were mortised into the stringers and there were no risers. And with the four attachments points fixed, there was no way for the new stairs to be square. Had we spotted the off-square problem in the beginning, Eric would have cut the riser faces on the the stringers at the proper angle before assembly. That would have saved the Sawsall work, but it would have had no other effect on the length of the job and the quality of the final product.

Replacing low-voltage wire with much thicker 12-2g wire requires drilling at least one hole in the plate in the attic for every switch leg. Switch locations can require drilling with very low clearance near the eves and around HVAC ducts. Locating the proper place to drill when there is no existing low-voltage switch in place is tricky, especially when the attic has blown insulation and the air temperature is about 120 degrees. Nonetheless, the job went perfectly. I did all the attic work so Eric could concentrate on the skilled work downstairs. He instructed me on exactly what to do and I was able to keep up with him so he was 100% efficient. He showed me a particularly neat trick involving a bent hanger to tease a wire up two stories and into the new, larger hole. Eric's end went as planned. He installed a lot of old-work boxes and left no unnecessary scars and no debris. He handled some surprises smoothly and with no delay. Materials cost was $403 and labor cost was $1,888. The work resulted in a significant updating of the house. Certainly the increase in the house's market value will be much greater than the $2,300 total cost of the upgrade.

This is the first time I have used Angie's list (exclusively) to find a service in Bloomington, and I couldn't be more pleased. Eric is a great guy, very professional and friendly. I needed a couple of small electrical repairs to my new house, and even though I had to wait about 10 days for an appointment, I'm glad I did. I can see why he's in demand. Great service, fair price. He got the outlets in one room working with the wall switch exactly the way I wanted them to; and also put the proper plug on my clothes dryer, and hooked up the vent for me. Eric was very thorough, very helpful, and explained to me in detail what he was doing, which I appreciated. I will certainly call him again.

I had Eric stop by my house just to change out a faulty bathroom fan/light switch. It was a small job but he did a great job. He was on time and super nice. Highly recommended.

We just moved into our house a few weeks ago and had a few issues with some electric outlets and also some questions about light fixtures in the house. Eric came out and fixed our issue, answered all my questions, and charged a very reasonable price. Communication was great and he went to the extra effort to explain everything to me. I'll be using him for all my electrical work in the future.
