Alex and his crew did a fantastic job and did not leave any messes. The steps look new and the work on the brick has blended in extremely well with the original mortar. I told Alex that I didn't like the work that was done by the builder 9 years ago on our fireplace, but wasn't sure what the problem was. Alex cleaned the brick on our fireplace and it looks a lot better. We are very satisfied with all the work that was done and very happy with Sivells Masonary.

Scott was very responsive and came to do the estimate right away. I called about my chimneys and when Scott was here, he looked over my brick house and included an option in the estimate to have cracks/damaged areas in mortar on my house fixed at the same time. Scott answered all my questions and was very flexible in scheduling the work to accommodate my schedule. Scott and Norman came on the scheduled day and were very professional and completed the job in an excellent manner. They left all areas exactly as when they came. I highly recommend Sivells Masonry!

I liked their personal attention to the service. Their communication was good. The work was better than what I have had done by other people.

We ended up going with someone else. They were pleasant on the phone when I asked them to come by and give me a quote. Then they came and gave me the quote. I don?t remember which quote it was. We got one quote that was so low and they were just as incompetent. Another quote was pretty high. The quote from Sivells Masonry was mid-range. I only spoke to them for a minute and half. I will probably use them in the future.

Pleasant to work with. The job came out beautifully. There were a few problems but they promptly came out and fixed plus did some other minor rework (my fault) at no charge. It is nice to work with people who take pride in their work.

It?s crazy that even in this economy, one of the rarest commodities is a company that wants to do a good job and understands the value of customer service. If you are looking for someone who bends over backwards to provide both of these, look no further than Sivells Masonry. Scott Sivells, his son Alex and team did a quality job from start to finish, kept the communications flowing whenever rescheduling was necessary (due to weather or needing more materials), and even walked & watered the dog on the days they were working at our house! We would recommend them to anyone who wants beautiful work done and wants to be treated like a customer should.

They were very professional. They came on time and they matched the existing mortar very well. We noticed they did not do the chimney and when I called they told me that the chimney was not part of the original quote, which I was sure it was. Then he realized that he was looking at the work order for a different house and immediately came back and finished the chimney with many apologies. I liked everyone I came into contact from the initial call to the people who did the job. I plan on using them again.

They were prompt and professional. They completed the work in less than a day and the lintel and new rows of brick look great. Contrary to the estimate I got from another mason, Sivells did not try to increase the size of the job. They advised me honestly about what was needed and did a great job with that. My only concern is whether they used quite the right mortar. Because my house was built in the 19th century, it needs lime mortar without portland cement. We talked about it before the job, but I hadn't read up on the proper mortar at that time so I'm not sure I communicated it well. Still, I think they probably did use the right stuff, and it just looks different than I expected.

Went great. Scott coordinated his work with fencing contractor to align his columns with a driveway gate. Very professional and great outcome.

Scott and his son are very professional, easy to work with and they do quality work. The chimney was on a house built in 1927 with brick that is a challenge to match. The match was especially important because we were pending on the sale of our home. They salvaged the good brick in the chimney and managed to blend in the new brick for an impressive match. They cleaned up after themselves very well. This was the second time I worked with them and I would work with them again.

I was very disappointed with them. I used them to replace some bricks on my brick patio about 2 or 3 years ago; this year, there were more bricks on the patio that were a problem and were needed to be replaced. I called several providers, including Sivells, for a quote. He didn?t respond for 2 weeks to a phone message that I left for him. I called him again; he told me that he had forgotten about my request and that he would get back to me the next day; I have not heard from him since. I figured that if I had done business with a man, he would want to follow up with me, especially after I had reminded him that I had requested a quote. He had promised to respond and didn?t, and that?s not the way I?d like to see people do business. I would not use him in the future.

They were reasonably priced, clean, neat, punctual, and they did a very good, quality job.

My chimney had some bricks that were looking loose, and gaps in the cement. He quoted options to repair the existing chimney or take it down to the roof and completly rebuild. I chose the repair. The finished job looked much better than I had anticipated. I also was pleasantly surprised at the cost. I would certainly recommend this company.

The young men worked very hard in less than ideal weather conditions to complete the job. We were very pleased with the care they took with our lawn and in the final clean-up of debris. The whole process from estimate to completion was managed professionally, and we feel confident the work was done well and will stand up over time.

They built a beautiful walk. We have an older farm house and we have lots of work done here. The work they have done is by far the best work we have ever had done. They are courteous, prompt, neat, and very knowledgeable. They are also reasonably priced.

Scott was very professional and personable as was the crew (Alex & Mario ) who performed the work. The work was performed within the time frame agreed upon and cleanup was excellent. They were very careful not to damage the flowers and plants surrounding the chimney area.

They also did tuckpointing on the rest of my condominium. They came out and took pictures, identified very clearly what he saw. within hours he had emailed a very clear estimate. He was able to schedule the work in a very timely fashion. They gave me a call to let me know they were running just a little bit behind, showed up. They brought all of their own equipment. Upon completion, they cleaned up very well.

Excellent. Perfect communication, on time, very attractive work, cleaned up, and the price was very reasonable for these two projects.

They were great, the original estimate was for $800, but they lowered it when the work was less than expected. The two men that came were personable and they did a great job. They were here quickly and they cleaned up their mess.

It is a top-notch company. The bid was right on. He went above and beyond to ensure my satisfaction.

I left a voicemail and he came out to my home the next day to give me an estimate to repair my brick chimneys. Unfortunately they were unable to do the work due to the high pitch of my roof and placement of my chimneys. Although his company was not able to do the work I appreciated his professionalism in calling me back to let me know that as well as his prompt response to my call. It is sad that this kind of service is so rare in contractors.

I did the demolition myself, and the workers showed up on time and finished the brick work that day. The results were very satisfactory. It took a couple of weeks before they returned to acid wash the wall and haul away the mortar rubble, but I am happy with the end result. I hope to never need them again, but would use them again if I did.
