Description of Work: Sivels did extensive rebuild work on our chimney, brick replacement on our front porch exterior and tuck pointed in several places on our brick exterior. The work they did was very good - detailed (they matched the bricks and mortar quite well in the replacement/repair work - even redoing poorly matched tuck pointing work from the past). The larger project was a total rebuild of our chimney - which took a while but was done so well. I recommend Sivels quite highly.

Description of Work: We had brick repair done by Sivells in the past and so were happy to see that the company still had a Super Service Award. After calling several times Alex finally came out to estimate the work we needed to have done saying we would have our estimate within a day. When we didn't receive a quote after a couple of weeks had passed, we called again and left several messages (even saying that if they did not want the job to please let us know so we could go ahead and find another company). We still haven't received a call or an explanation about the lack of service. If there was some kind of unforeseen circumstances we certainly would have understand...a simple phone call or email would have satisfied us. It seems that the Super Service designation no longer applies.

Description of Work: Outstanding! This is the second time we have hired Scott Sivells. We just bought a house that is a bit of a fixer upper and have had to deal with a lot of contractors. Scott and his team did an excellent job and exceeded our expectations. We highly reccommend them.

Description of Work: A tractor-trailer backed into our building while attempting to make a delivery and damaged several of the concrete blocks on the side of the building. I found Sivells Masonry on Angie's List and Scott Sivells came over to our office a couple of hours after I called him. He was very friendly and looked over all the damage and then emailed me an estimate. I sent the estimate to the trucking company that caused the damage and they approved it and sent me a check. I informed Scott and we set up a time to have him do the work. He came out on the appointed day and did a great job. He had to remove several of the blocks and replace them and re-grout the whole area. When he was finished everything looked like new. The grout was a little darker but now that it has dried it matches perfectly. We would definitely use Scott again if the need arises.

Description of Work: I'm sorry to say I did not use them. I was rushed at the time and used a different company. I wsh I had waited to talk with Sivells. I have seen their work around town and it looks very good. The company I used was very inexpensive, but noy as detailed as I wanted.

Description of Work: They replaced and repaired some brick walls and window sills.

Description of Work: I asked for an estimate to remove and rebuild a deteriorating brick chimney. I was given a written estimate in a timely manner. The estimate, however, was exactly twice as much as the other estimate I was given ($800 v. $400 for the same work). I went with the other contractor.

Description of Work: I called several times, to more than one phone number and left messages. I even mentioned that I am a member of Angie's List and still no response.

Description of Work: Scott, the owner of the company showed up within hours of my call and performed an on site inspection of the chimney in order to provide a price on the work. Scott said he would have the quote ready in a day or two. After a couple of weeks went by, I called and left a message on their answering service. Another week went by and another call was made and again the answering service was all that was available. I waited another week and left two messages on two different phone numbers listed for Sivells 317-787-3850 and 317-946-5807. No response. Not someone I would ever recommend. Anyone who is unable to return phone calls or deliver on a commitment is not going to be a reliable service provider.

Description of Work: I contacted Scott Sivells, owner of Sivells Masonry, to fix my chimney cap that had been blown loose and off the chimney of the building I own and lease out. He had to have a sheet metal man make a new one because the old one was completely rusted out as was much of the chimney. He had the new cap made, caulked around the old chimney and fixed what he could of the old chimney, using three men to do the work plus 2 story scaffolding and only charged me what we had originally agreed upon; a total of $250.00. I was and am very pleased with the work he did, the price and his overall professionalism and dedication to giving his customers a very good job at a very fair price. I would use him again in a heartbeat and would recommend him to anyone.

Description of Work: REPAIRED WINDOW SILL, TUCK POINTING REPAIR ABOVE GARAGE DOOR, AND CAULKED LONG CRACK IN BACK PATIO.

Description of Work: TUCKPOINTING AND A COMPLETE REPAIR OF A BLUE STONE PORCH INCLUDING POURING A NEW SLAB; ALSO REPLACED BRICKS ON 3 BUILDINGS.
