They couldn't match the exact same brick color as the existing brick on the house; they did get a close match to what was there. However, the grout didn't lighten up as much as I though that it would.

They did a great job! I'm very pleased.

Job 1: Excellent job. Timely, detailed, good clean-up. Job 2: Project went well, and was completed in 2 days. Cleanup was fair at first, but improved when asked to do better. Seems to be a high quality masonry job.

Did not have the work done. Did not receive a return to my initial phone call.

For my back porch step, I would give A's in all categories. There were some hairline cracks when the top coat dried, but he came back immediately and fixed them. I would use them again for something like that in an instant. On the price for the chimney price, I would give it a B. Overall, they did a good job. Mr. Sivell is very easy, straightforward, and honest to deal with. If he feels the project is beyond what his company can do, he will refer you to another company.

Excellent service. I used Angie's List to find them and one of their competitors (the top 2 on the list), but other company did not follow through with estimate. Sivells not only came to my home on time, but were professional throughout the entire process. On the day the work was performed, I spoke with the president of the company because I forgot to have the mailbox/flowerbox included and I wanted that work added at an increased price. They completed the work and did not charge me anything extra!

Scott's son came out to do the estimate. Scott sent me a picture of a 3 flue cap cover and quoted me a good price as an option. Scott was very thorough, not only in his electronic quotes, but also in his telephone conversations with me. He had world of patience explaining the technical aspects of the job to a non-techie. Because of his heavy schedule, he was slower to respond than the chimney company I chose to do the work.

Scott was very professional and helpful when he came out for the estimate. I had been told by another contractor that I would need to completely replace the chimney in order for it to be safe. Scott was very honest in what he proposed and could have easily convinced me that he needed to do more work. Instead, he presented my options and recommended that I do the least expensive choice of tuckpointing. I appreciated that he didn't try and sell me more than what I needed. The work was completed quickly and they did a good job of cleaning up. A little landscape damage was inevitable and Scott warned me about that. In the end, they were very careful and didn't do any permanent damage. I would highly recommend Sivells and would use them again.

I earlier submitted a report regarding this company's failure to respond to a "Request for Bid" for masonry work at my Church. In the email I requested a response if they did not intend to bid. I indicated that I did not receive a response, however, I regret that the report was filed in error, Scott Sivells, the owner, had called me and declined to bid because they were too busy at the time. I really appreciate him calling.

While at our house to go over other work, I mentioned our chimney seemed to have some problems. Scott Sivells climbed up our steep roof to look at and and determined that yes, some of the mortar had come out and there were spots where the flashing was not properly sealed. We set a date, his crew arrived promptly on the day they said they would, and the chimney is now repaired.

We noticed when the winter was over that our half-circle steps leading to our front door, which are concrete with bricks on the outside risers) was disintegrating. Sivells covered the tops of our steps with paver's, and was able to keep the original brick facings. The result is extraordinary. The masonry job is excellent, and after they left we could not find anything to clean up or complain about. We have had several neighbors stop by with compliments on the steps, and one neighbor brought several relatives over to admire it. It was fun to see 5 or 6 people we didn't know standing on our lawn admiring our steps. They also replaced a section of sidewalk that had bumped up onto the steps. Also, we had a wall by the garage that had bricks on top, and most of the mortar was gone. They replaced the bricks on top of the wall with a slab. Scott is busy but was willing to work with our schedule, and came when he said he would. They take pride in their work, and the results show it.

The work turned out well. I have recommended him to someone else.

Scott was initially hard to make contact with, but soon found out it was because of personal emergency. Afterward, he was prompt in returning calls, coming out to do a bid and later following up to questions prior to the work. He set up the work a week in advance, but the day of, I had to cancel because of illness. He was very flexible in pushing the start time back two days. The job took two days. The workers were polite and hard-working. The job was actually divided into two - the chimney repair and tuck pointing. His chimney work estimate was a bit higher than a competitor, but we also felt it was more complete and thought it best to have the same contractor do both jobs. We were pleased with the finished product and would use this contractor again.

It is unfortunate that this company's responsiveness and professionalism is so poor.

I left messages to call because we were interested in an estimate on some brickwork. Left messages with several of my phone numbers and I do have an answering machine. They never called to say they were too busy or anything.

They were wonderful, just spectacular. I loved working with Scott. At one point there was a mistake on the walkway and they cut out three feet of it and replaced it and never batted an eye. They are very pleasant people to work with.

Scott responded to our first call within 48 hours. He came out to see the house within 72 hours and gave a verbal estimate. We received his written estimate a few days later. Scott was informative and answered all of our questions. We will certainly call him back when we are ready to do the project.

They have been wonderful. They are very polite and cleaned up all of their mess. I would use them again.

Scott Sivell was very reliable and professional from the start of the project right through to the end. My initial phone encounter was very good and he listened very carefully to my situation and developed a plan based on my description of the problem. He then came out to the house and inspected the situation and then called with his estimate and plan. He was prompt in starting the job and, although the weather interfered with completing everything in a timely fashion, he came out as soon as possible to finish painting the new sill. We are very satisfied with the work performed and it has done exactly what we were hoping.

Scott was very quick to return my phone calls. He was able to give me an estimate within 24 hours of our initial call. Scott is very professional. They were able to get the job done the next day and finished in one business day. Very good experience!

The finished work is very attractive! When Scott Sivells first came to examine our needs, he presented us with 3 alternative coverings (exposed aggregate, paver blocks, and natural stone), giving the pluses, minuses, and cost of each. Their quote was significantly lower than another one we received. The work was then planned to meet our schedule. The crew worked diligently every day. They answered all our questions (which were numerous) as they went along and were very friendly. When an unexpected problem arose (rotted wood behind the steps) they quickly solved it and increased the original estimate by only about 1%. They cleaned up the area every day. I would use Sivells Masonry for our next masonry job and highly recommend them to others.

Scott did not take long to come to my house, provide an estimate, or set up an appointment. He cheerfully worked around other service men's schedule and I was very satisfied with his work.

After required, the down payment crew showed up before I got home from work. By the time I arrived home, the crew had the old chimney dismantled and were well on there way to having the newly rebuilt chimney in place. It took two more trips to complete. I'm very pleased with the end result.

Scott was very knowledgeable and likable about the work. He was conscientious and finished the job on time and to my satisfaction. His workers were polite and careful to ensure they didn't make a huge mess during the repairs. They cleaned up after themselves everyday and worked diligently to get the job done on time.

I got a very quick response to get the chimney looked at (next day). The problem was that the quote took a while (1 week) to get for the chimney, and I still have never received one for bricking the back of my house. The price was comparable to the company we went with, but that company was always quick and responsive (for example, got quote at time of inspection). Seems like a good company that probably just needs more help to get all the work done, which is why we did NOT go with them.
