Jay Troy's Sewer & Septic Tank Service

They did a great job. They were thorough and polite. I even talked to them about hooking up my house to the sewer system when it comes through the neighborhood. Now finding a decent, competent person to do that job is one less thing I have to worry about. I'll just call them.

They were there on time and found out that my sewer line was not blocked, but the toilet was instead. They removed the toilet, took out a toothbrush that had become lodged in there, re-installed the toilet, and it worked fine after that.

Very professional and courteous. Will definitely use again.

Everything went very well. We are going to use this company. We're just waiting for the notice from the city that we can be hooked up.

In our forty years of marriange, my wife and I have engaged many contractors to perform work on our homes. But never has any contractor proved themselves more genuine, honest, courteous and understanding than the firm's owner, Tina Halfaker, and the service representative who accompanied her. Their service charge - given to me in advance, was very reasonable even when the job proved to be a bit more complicated and labor-intensive than expected. I would not hesitate to again engage Jay Troy when the need arises, nor would I hestitate to refer them to friends, family and other acquaintances.

They did a great job and gave me some good advise about adding some dirt to my yard. They did not try to sale me something I did not need. If I should need a new system I will call them first. Thank you for a Great job, Roland

Had some issues with sinks and tubs draining and then the toilets emptied on their own, followed by an unpleasant odor. Called Ray on a Sunday evening and he had me running water and flushing toilets while he was on the phone to troubleshoot. He stayed on the phone until he felt he had a good idea of what was going on. He sent a crew out the next day and they found two partial blocks in the sewer line that ended up being tree roots. One of the guys came in to make sure all the drains were clearing. I was grateful for the response time and pleased with the work performed. They were polite, professional and conscientious about leaving things the way they found them. I will recommend them to anyone needing these services and would hire them again if the need arises.

They recommended a plumber to come and install a new toilet. They also told me to change toilet paper to Angel Soft from Charmin. I took their advice and gladly paid them $40 for the service call.

Ray always comes promptly and helps us whenever we call. I called at 5:30 one day and he was here promptly the next day. He always comes himself and brings his assistant. He even volunteered to help plunge the toilet and solved our problem. We will be using him to hook us up to sewers when they come through our neighborhood.

I called in and spoke to the secretary to schedule the appointment - she was able to give me an approx cost of the job over the phone and we scheduled the visit. After a few days I called back to see if they could come out any sooner and they were able to work with my schedule and arrive 3 days earlier - which was great. Ray called me a few minutes before he arrived. In our situation we didnt know where the septic tank lid was since it is a newly purchased property. Ray and the other man searched around the property - we were very close to having to purchase a sonar search, which would have cost an additional $150, but Ray finally found the tank lid. Once they found it, they started with emptying it. It didn't take very long to empty out. Ray also gave me some pointers on our well and told me about a good company to contact for well work. Overall I was happy with their service.

Called to schedule service. No one answered the phone. Left a voice mail message but my call was not returned. Scheduled septic tank service with a different company that would answer their phone.

It went fine. They were able to come later in the day which helped us. They didn't mess around got the work done. I did get some education and some bad news. Looks like I need to get a distrubution box replaced, or just keep having tank fill up. I have to reseach this but it made sense. 500 would be their cost for this. I'm leary of everyone but thats why we have Angies list

I called in the later afternoon and they were able to schedule me in for the next day. Showed up exactly on time and performed the work they promised. Good guys to work with.

Contacted them late in the afternoon. Needed septic tank cleaned out ASAP. They were able to make it to my house within 30 minutes and took care of it right away. When most companies told me I would have to wait until the next morning, they were able to get to me that afternoon on very short notice. Price was very reasonable. Would definitely use them again.

He arrived when scheduled, everything went well. He dug up the opening at no extra charge and covered it so well it was only barely noticeable. Good job.

Things went real well. Joe Halfaker and his crew were very professional. Found the tank right away. They arrived on time. They completed the job. They also were careful with the yard and cleaned up before they left. Would highly recommend them.

Very well. This is a fairly simple operation if the tank is easily accessible. Called and got quote on 2/6/08 company was willing to come next day. Called back and made arrangements for service on 2/8/08. Was told they would be here Friday morning. Company called before arrival. Process took about 30 to 40 minutes. Was told there was an extra $25 (or maybe it was $35) charged for disposal because live in Johnson County. This is because the contents are disposed in Marion County.

A very good experience. Price was more than reasonable. They even dug up lid without extra charge.(Most companies don't). Had to postpone service a couple of times due to schedule conflicts, but Tina was very accommodating and friendly.

They were 2 hours late, and I had to call their office to see if they were still coming. They did a good job pumping out the tank; the lid could not be removed from one of the inlets so they dug to find the other to finish the job. Larry had to check with me a few times, about the trouble getting the lid off and about if we wanted more than the standard volume pumped out. He was somewhat brusque and condescending with me.

Called for estimate and to schedule appointment for cleaning of sewer/septic tank. Came at appropriate time and charged the amount that the estimate was for. Did not try to get us to spend more money. Gave suggestions to my husband that were helpful. Will most likely hire Jay Troy again if more work on septic system is needed.

On the Friday before Christmas our septic tank began to back up. My husband called a highly recommended company that was "backed up" for three days. They referred us to Jay Troy. We called them and they were able to come out Saturday. They called before they came which I want to emphasize was the Saturday before Christmas. We didn't even know where a tank was. They found the tank right away and the lid with minimal disturbance to the yard. They were quick, professional, and quite honestly two of the nicest guys my husband and I had ever met. They gave us helpful ideas. They were very reasonable. I was thankful they didn't charge extra for a Saturday and again it was the Saturday before Christmas. I would most definitely recommend them to people. I would use them again myself.

Jay Troy's did a great job. They had to not only replace my tank but also actually move my entire septic field from the front yard to the backyard and worked hard to figure out the cheapest way to do it! The final cost was cheaper than the initial estimate I had agreed to!

He was here almost all day. He did a lot of work. He did fix it so we'll never have to have our back yard dug up again. He was honest.
