He's unfortunately terrible. "Follow thru" could not be a more ironic name for "randy's" performance. He schmoozed his way into getting selected as a plumber in the first place because my mom was too trusting even though i had misgivings about his overly friendly attitude. I had to constantly check on the work he was supposed to do and remind him to do things, he would show up and work a little bit then leave, he could have finished all of his work in a week but instead he broke it up over the course of a month or two, never fully completing anything and half-assing his way along the way. provided supply lines to kitchen sink, they leaked, I had to tell him to come fix it which took multiple attempts, until he finally fixed it. He forgot to hook up a line for the fridge, took forever for him to come back and fix that. He reset toilet but it's crooked. He provided supply lines for shower, then just left them in the walls while the cold water supply had detached/never been hooked up fully and water trickled inside the wall and down until you could see it on the bathroom floor and the bottom of the wall, instead of dealing with his idiocy I fixed that myself, he was also using the cheapest possible products for the plumbing rather than the more reliable ones, but he's trying to save himself money so I guess I understand that. He forgot to provide exterior waterline, had to remid him to do that but he finally did it and I haven't had issus with that it just took alot of reminding. One day shortly after he messed with something in the house the water wouldn't come out of any of the lines, just air. Supposedly there was something wrong and it needed a new Yoke, $300, something so obvious any plumber should have been able to see that a new one was needed. It should have been included in his initial estimate but it wasn't so he berated my mom and tried to get around $700 for the yoke and the time he spent working on it. We ended up giving him $500 but only because that was the sum my mom agreed to pay him to leave her alone, I wouldn't have given him anything except reimbursement for the cost of the yoke. But he never really spoke to me, just my mom. He decided to do nothing with the sewer cleanout except what appeared to be him setting the cap on the hole and burying it, well water washes away dirt so after a few weeks it became apparent what the sloshing sound in the crawlspace was, so instead of dealing with that moron I went to menards and got myself a 6" > 4" rubber coupling and a 4" pvc with a cap.... I fixed that issue in a half an hour, but I shouldn't have, any moron could have done that! there was no reason why he had to leave it like that and hide it as if we wouldn't find out. he's either a moron, a cheat or just plain lazy. In terms of a 1-10 rating he gets the following: 0 for punctuality 0 for quality 0 for his ability as a plumber to properly estimate what a house needs 9 for his personality because aside from being a piece of crap human being and a terrible plumber he has a very likable personality that allows him to swindle trusting/good-hearted people. DO NOT USE RANDY FROM FOLLOW-THRU PLUMBING, he is a grossly incompetent plumber, I could have and should have done his job for him (and actually did in some cases). He operates under the guise of a "good catholic boy" which he really pushes when he's giving you an estimate or charging you. It's BS and he should be ashamed of himself, and if it isn't BS then he should honestly go back to plumbing school and take a refresher course or re-evaluate his choice of careers, because this one probably isn't going to work out too well. You'd have better luck finding someone on Craig's list.
Description of Work: "randy" the plumber was supposed to replumb waste line and pex supply lines in the kitchen sink, provide waterline for fridge, replumb toilet and bathroom sink, replumb and reset tub, provide plumbing for washer dryer and water line for exterior, as well as hook up furnace and gas line. I believe the original estimate for all this was around $1800

Called him and he quoted his hourly rate when I told him what was wrong. He showed up when he said he would be and accessed the situation and went straight to work. He needed a few parts that I did not have and he had them on his truck which saved me at trip to Lowes. I called him to fix the tub drain but ended up having him install the new sing faucet as well. Great service and professional! He lives in Beech Grove and knows the area well. He's also quoted some work for a friend of mine who lives in Fountain Square in a 100+ year old house. Looking forward to working with him again!
