Creative Concepts Kitchen and Bath

We had been putting off our much-needed remodeling projects around the home (kitchen and bathrooms) until our neighbors showed us the results of a recent makeover in their master bath and bedroom areas. Our normal rule of thumb is to interview three different vendors and then decide who will get the work. When we saw firsthand how much Dean Roberts and his crew pay attention to details, we took the plunge and contracted with Creative Concepts Kitchen & Bath to do the work at our house and didn?t even bother getting other bids. My husband is super picky but even he agreed that Dean was a perfectionist who didn?t like to see anything but his best work done in someone?s home. Dean always completed the job ahead of schedule and his pricing for the quality of work he provides was extremely competitive. He completed our renovation projects over several months in 2014 and we look forward to working with him on other household projects in 2015. Word of advice?book him now for your remodeling job because he?s in high demand and you?ll probably need to wait a few months before he can work you into his rotation?but he?s worth the wait.

There was so much that this guy did WRONG, I don't have enough space to write it all down. This project involved Dean Roberts, Owner of Creative Concepts from 2 April - 2 June 2012. At first, I couldn't be happier! Although the project got off to a rough start, I was thrilled that I had the right sub-contractor for the job! (Drexel didn't have the cabinets delivered until 4 days AFTER project start date... UNACCEPTABLE!). It wasn't long before the project took a ominous turn. After just 2 days, Dean Roberts started dogging Drexel--from the inter workings to the abilities of the female handling the tile and flooring. He continued throughout the project to tell me how much I had overspent at Drexel, how cheap my custom sink was made, how much cheaper he could have gotten the tile border, etc. His overbearing opinionated personality could have been tolerated for the sake of the project, but the more he ran his mouth, the more incompetent he became. Dean Roberts left us with NO water in the kitchen for 4 weeks! He took out the sink as soon as he arrived, knowing the custom copper sink hadn't been delivered yet. When it did, he was slinging it around like a dead cat. Telling me how cheap it was. When he installed it (crooked) it was then that I saw it was damaged. Did I see him do it? No. Do I believe he did it? ABSOLUTELY! I had to send it back to Pennsylvania to be repaired. When it arrived the 2nd time, he refused to come and install and plumb the sink. As I said, we had NO water, and the dishwasher couldn't be connected by Clark's Appliances until we had running water. I had to call Drexel to make him come out. (I've included a pic of his finished work under the sink AFTER Drexel called him.) After he got here we got about 4 hours more work out of him. There was so much more left to do than just installing and plumbing the sink and he knew it! It was a few months after the project was completed that I found out why my dishwasher wouldn't wash my dishes correctly. Dean Roberts had left out the COLD water line for the dishwasher to be connected to. According to the plumber, it should have been HOT! Dean Roberts installed the cabinets directly on top the sub flooring. Not a problem, but he didn't shim any of them. Thank GOD for the Clark's Appliances Delivery men. They brought it to my attention and said they had NEVER seen cabinets as "off" as mine. In one spot it was almost 2" off. What's the problem, you ask? I had ordered the new GE Profile double oven range. The bottom only adjusts up to 1 inch. The glass top hangs over, and rests on top the counter so there are no gaps between the counter and the stove. There was no way it was going to work. Luckily, the appliances were delivered one week before the quartz countertop was to be installed. I had to reschedule the counter delivery until the cabinets were raised. Once again, I had to have Drexel and my Husband to intercede. He ran nails up thru the outer cabinet skins. He left a long screw in the cabinets UNSCREWED...& holes in the finished beadboard interior! That finished interior cost me BIG $... What did he care? He didn't pay for it! In one cabinet, he put 7 holes in the beadboard, just to screw in 2 nails... Then he didn't screw in the last one! This guy boasts of being a Christian based business... NOT! (Believe me guys... its just a disguise!) The whole experience was HORRIBLE! I wouldn't contract this guy again for putting a simple dog house together! It wound up costing me another $1k to correct what he mangled. BOTTOM LINE: Dean Roberts isn't capable of building a DOG HOUSE! PERIOD! P.S. I apologize for my pics.
