Description of Work: I hired this company to install a wood burning fireplace insert and fix the exterior of the chimney. These guys did some great work installing the insert, fixing the masonry, and pouring a new crown. Very professional group of guys full of information and tips to keep my chimney in good shape.

+ 0 moreOesterling Chimney Sweep had to order the three chimney caps made of stainless steel, they came on the previously announced day and time, sealed the top of the chimneys and installed the caps. Everything was done as promised, and their price was very reasonable (they did not charge me for the initial chimney inspection). The caps look very attractive and are solidly mounted
Description of Work: I contacted Oesterling Chimney Sweep because they were highly rated on Angie's List and they were closest to my place of residence (Columbus, IN). Their employee came and inspected all three chimneys from above and from below. His assessment was that the chimney linings were in excellent condition and needed no sweeping/cleaning (not surprising since we have never used the fireplaces). He recommended to install chimney caps to prevent rain ingress/water damage and birds from nesting inside. He also recommended to seal the top of each chimney with a special coating to prevent deterioration of the mortar.

I needed a chimney liner, chimney needed some new bricks&mortar. also in the basement the flue pipe needed some work to bring it up to code. Oesterling set a date and time when they would be on the job. they came as promised,did the work and were very professional. I would recommend this company to anyone who has chimney problems.
