Description of Work: I contacted Batesville Monument to make a headstone/marker to match those on an existing family plot. These markers were done in the early 1930's and before, with a technique that is not commonly used today. As I recall, the method usually used nowadays is to carve out the letters, whereas with the older method, they carve out the entire background, making it more of a relief. This method is much more costly. Batesville Monument was able to determine what type of stone was used and replicate the lettering, using the older method. The end result looked great, and was half the price quoted to me by Crown Hill Cemetery. Jeremy and the others were very professional. I would highly recommend Batesville Monument.

Description of Work: They were terrific. My husband's marker is just what I wanted. They were sensitive and very caring during this difficult time. Additionally, they worked hard to help develop parts on the stone that I wanted. Additionally, they reconfirmed it via email prior to starting on the stone with additional graphics and drawings. Finally, they allowed me to make a divided payment for the stone which truly helped my budget. I rate them as A++. Wonderful bright, intelligent men who know their craft.

I know they had to order the stone from overseas, but I had to keep calling and following up with them to learn the status of my stone. The work itself was great, and he did call me after the installation to make sure I was happy.
Description of Work: They created a monument for my mom. I wanted a bench with the monument. We designed the headstone with the bench attached to it, along with a heart and the block of information.

+ -1 moreIt turned out very well. It took them 6-8 weeks to create the stone which they told me about ahead of time. They placed it in spring, but the delay was due to the weather.

He kept following up with me, which was great because I had so much going on during that time. It didn't take long for the headstone to be completed at all. I'd recommend them to anyone!

+ -1 moreThey're awesome! They worked with me on photoshopping people out of the picture I gave them, and worked with me until the picture was perfect. The people are really nice and considerate; they'll do anything to make you happy. The total process took 2 months from initial contact until the install. They were very professional and responsive. I had no complaints.
Description of Work: I hired them to create my son's headstone. It was created from black granite, with his picture, and two vases. I bought a black granite bench as well.

+ -1 moreIt was absolutely wonderful. I had to deal with them long distance; I live in New Jersey and my father passed away in Indiana. Out of the many people I've dealt with, I'd recommend these folks.They could've done it within a week, but I was not coming out to the Midwest for a while. I picked it up from them and brought it to the cemetary myself. I got a lot of compliments from the cemetary staff. I'm amazed it went so smoothly to do everything long distance. My mother passed away years before, and I dealt with a different company; I did have a frame of reference. For this experience, I called several companies before I settled on Batesville.

Generally speaking, we are interested in most projects involving stone construction.
