Description of Work: Bathtub refinishing

Description of Work: Sunrise responded promptly to my request for an estimate and the estimate was in the range of what I had expected. I wanted my kitchen cabinets removed, refinished and returned while my kitchen was being gutted and remodeled. The date were arranged and they arrived in a timely fashion, removing the cabinets. They had agreed that they could remove the cabinets and do them at their place of business for about the same cost as traveling to Terre Haute daily. I selected the color and finish I wanted and provided the handles and pulls I wanted. They picked up the cabinets the Friday before Labor Day and they were to take two weeks to finish them. When the time came for them to be returned, they were not finished because "the finish did not suit" Mrs. Cooper. They asked for an extra week. Although it complicated the finish time of the project, my contractor agreed and filled in with another job while I waited on the cabinets. After three weeks (the original plan had been two), Mr. Cooper returned them - alone. He had to have help from my contractor getting them in and did a very poor job of rehanging the cabinets. I do not understand how he thought he could hang them alone. Not only that, the finish on the cabinets was not what I had been promised at all. When my contractor hung my new microwave, it appeared to be crooked because the cabinets had not been hung level; in fact, they were 3/4 inch off and the cabinet over the refrigerator had been forced into its space. My contractor had to remove the wall of cabinets, hang them level and then repair the scratches from forcing in the one cabinet. That took him about five hours. When my contractor put up the tile, he found that the cabinets on the south wall were not even/level. In fact, one had been screwed into the dry wall and had I put dishes into the cabinet, the weight of the dishes would have pulled the cabinet off the wall. He had to then rehang that cabinets and be sure they were secure. I complained about the cabinets and the quality of work. I can not believe that they ever thought I would be satisfied with the cabinets as they were presented the first time. Mrs. Cooper came to visit with her son and they reassured me they would refinish them and make them appear as promised - but it would take another 7-10 days. Because I wanted the cabinets improved, I consented. I understand that the cabinets were old and were not top quality to begin with, but they knew that when they agreed to take the job. Problems with the process were not my fault. Her son came in and worked on the cabinets, including the doors, and for the most part they were finished as promised. They still have a couple of "rough" spots on them, but after 4 1/2 weeks, I was done.

Description of Work: Refinished existings cabinets in Kitchen, Master and powder room. Which entails taking off all doors, prep work, sanding and spraying the existing cab boxes. Usually they need access to the home the first week to prepare existing cab boxes. Doors are taken off site to be prepared, and refinished and reinstalled a week or 2 later. Chose to refinish all my existing cabs and doors, there was an option to replace the doors all together, but wanted to use my original wood doors as opposed to a composite product.

Description of Work: We had just moved into a new house and the kitchen had cherry cabinets along with cherry flooring. To provide some contrast, I wanted the cabinets refinished in an off-white color. I chose not to do a glaze but the Coopers had several samples of cabinetry with beautiful glazes. The team (husband/wife/son-in-law) came on the first day and prepped the kitchen. First they removed all door and drawer fronts. Then, it will be difficult to explain, they basically created a tent around my kitchen and every surface except the cabinet boxes was covered. The next two days the sanded, primed, and painted (sprayed) my cabinet boxes. They were meticulous. I was surprised at how labor intensive the process was, especially for such a great price. They also had an excellent ventilation system so we did not notice any fumes elsewhere in the house. After day three, the cabinet boxes were done and I was able to use my kitchen again. They took all the doors/drawer fronts to a workshop where they sprayed them and put on several coats of urethane. This took about a week and a half longer. When they returned, the hung the door/drawer fronts and put on new hardware for me. The cabinets are beautiful-perfect. You would never know they had been refinished. The look and feel as if I bought them that way.

Description of Work: During a kitchen renovation, I chose to buy two new cabinets for an island. I then needed to have my existing cabinets, which were in good shape, painted to match my new cream colored cabinets with a cocoa glaze. My contractor, Josh Heldman of GoRemodel, Inc., recommended a cabinet refinisher that he had used previously. Dave Cooper took one of the doors of the news cabinets and exactly matched the paint and glaze to refinish my existing cabinets. His work was perfect and turned out beautifully. My friends and family couldn't believe how well it all matched. Kudos to Sunrise Cabinet Finishes.

Description of Work: We made an inquiry about the cost/benefits of having our cast iron tub reglazed or having it replaced. Cooper's Counters were very accomodating and spent several minutes discussing the pros and cons. We were very impressed by their professionalism and the information they provided. However, we did decide to have the cast iron tub replaced so their services were not used.

Description of Work: We had an old claw foot tub that needed the surface refinished. Mr. Cooper came out early on a Saturday morning to accommodate our schedule and proceeded to spray a finish on the tub for us.
