Holder Handyman Service

Mr. Holder came to the house and gave me a quote for my project. We scheduled a time and date for him to start the project, but he never showed up. I called him but didn't hear back for several days. He finally called me back, and we rescheduled. He didn't show up again and haven't heard from him in weeks so I hired someone else.

It went well. He was a nice guy. He also did another job without being asked -- he fixed my gutter that had an issue.

His work by far a total disgrace to this industry. Rob was very nice and even willing to come back however after the 2nd time he came back and I discovered there were holes in my drywall that he was trying to cover up with trim that he angled and had to nail at an angle because there was nothing to nail it to because he tore up the wall. He wanted to come back and mud it vs fixing it properly with drywall. I made the decision to cut my losses now versus running into a bigger issue later with something he tried to rig. I had a list of 6 things he was going to do for me. The first day he went through 3 of the tasks NONE of them were completed in a satisfactory manner. Now I have to get my gutter replaced because he or one of his associates nailed the old gutter spikes in versus screwing new ones in that I had purchased. Yes he did offer to put something over the hammer marks on my gutter but I told him it would just make it worse and concentrate on the door. I paid him in good faith thinking he would make this right. But when I realized he only wanted to cover up what he did and not fix what he did. I made the decision to not risk any additional damages and am in the process of getting quotes from reputable companies to fix these damages. My advise would be if you do use Holder Handyman Services, do not pay him until you are satisfied because if you are not satisfied and are not willing to risk more damages by letting him come back, you are out your money because the law is on his side and he will not refund your money.

Rob came out on Saturday to take a look at replacing screens. There was a little confusion about his fee but not a big deal. He said he could do the job that day. We even discussed other future projects. Rob said he would go to Lowes, purchase the materials and come back. I have not seen him since. I texted him a couple of hours later and asked if he was still interested in doing this job and I received no response. Wish I knew what happened.

Rob showed up on 4/3 to do that work but decided to use a flexible piping instead of the hard PVC I requested. He also did not lay the piping the direction and path I requested and did his own thing curving the piping instead of running it in a straight line. He showed up at 9:30am, but did not have the materials. Said he would run to Menards and get the materials. at 12:30pm he was finished and ready to leave and wanted paid. He said it would be the agreed price of $650. I pushed back and said it was only 3 hours, but felt pressured and ending up paid him $450. Now the pipe is leaking where he joined the old pipe with the new pipe and the new pipe that was installed was buried so shallow it is exposed and showing in two other places.

Excellent. Very efficient and professional. Very reasonable. I will be hiring him in the future.

They are on time. very courteous and they even cleaned the place after working. They also charged me lesser than the quoted price because the job wasn't as hard as they thought it could be.
