Home inspection revealed a list of electrical issues that needed corrected before we could close on the sale of our house. I contacted Kevin, read the list of things the inspector found, and he gave me an estimate over the phone. The work was scheduled to be completed within a week. Kevin arrived early and quickly began working on the list of electrical repairs. He was thorough and explained the different things that had to be done to correctly remediate the electrical issues. Kevin was professional and friendly! We will definitely call him again in the future and refer family and friends to Hendricks County Electrical Company Inc!

I thought the guy who came out from Hendricks County Electric was a pretty good electrician. He was a really good electrician and I had him come out a couple times. He would estimate the job before he started work. He made sure he gave you the Angie's List price. He is very timely and he knew what he was doing. I am an engineer and I wanted to get an actual electrician out here. My wife had a handyman come out and he just missed all of this stuff. He was supposed to know what he was doing and he didn't.

Kevin Swihart took the time to walk through the entire project with us before giving an estimate. He gathered a comprehensive understanding of our needs by asking questions and making suggestions BEFORE starting work. He was thorough and cared about doing the job properly while saving time and money. He worked efficiently and left us satisfied that the work was done well.

Kevin was awesome. He was on time and professional. I felt the job was reasonably priced. I have saved his business card for future jobs. It was a great experience.

This contractor understood the scope of work I was asking him to perform and was knowledgeable and helpful. Two other contractor's estimates were 3 times as much money! This contractor knew the local power company's rules and requirements and was very straightforward and honest.

Kevin was able to come by the house the next day from the initial phone call (called on Friday, he was able to come out Saturday). He was prompt and arrived on time. He disengaged the power to the intercom system that preexisted in the house I purchased. He then added an outlet where the main intercom terminal was originally powered. He was very friendly and professional and explained everything as he went. I will definitely contact him in the future for any additional electric needs.

Kevin is my new go to electrician!!!! He was on time, did the job and even hauled away old ceiling fan and the trash from new one. In fact I realized the manual was in the box he took so I called him to see if he could retrieve it for me. He did indeed and mailed it back to me. He is really nice, easy going and professional. He also gives an Angie's List discount.

They were great. The electrician made a couple of trips out to finish a job that didn’t end up being quite straightforward. I recommended him to a friend who just moved into a new house. He is really good. He is very patient and has good ideas. He doesn’t just do the job. He brings the ideas for other things. I am really pleased and I would recommend him to anyone. I spent less than $200 for the last job. I had some kind of problem in the kitchen. There is a 12 foot center and then it pitches down. So, I wanted half lighting. I wanted something where I could change the bulbs on and not be 12 feet in the air. I bought a fixture, but it didn’t really work. When the electrician came back to install some track lighting, he mentioned that he had seen something over at another place that he thought would work. Then I went over and looked at it. He was very helpful and reasonably priced. He wasn’t on time, but he called to say that he was going to be late, which I appreciated.

In the process of having a water softener installed, we realized we didn't have an electrical outlet in a convenient location for the water softener. I called Hendricks Co. Electric after finding them on Angie's List, and he was able to come by within the next couple hours to install an outlet for the water softener. While he was here, I had him check an outlet that had stopped working in our garage, and also a kitchen outlet we were having trouble with. He did a great job, completed it in a short period of time, and cleaned up behind himself. He's a very nice, Christian man, and I felt his charges were fair, especially in light of the fact that I was able to get him out the same day I called. I would definitely hire him again.

I didn't know what was causing it and in those kinds of situations if you don't have a lot of integrity it is a really good opportunity to just charge somebody a lot. Instead of doing that he was good at educating me and explaining what the situation was. He definitely didn't take advantage and explained what I had and didn't have. He had a lot of integrity. I had no complaints.

Mr. Swihart came out in the evening and gave us an estimate. Two days later he arrived on time to do the work. He needed to set up scaffolding with a ladder on top of the scaffold as our foyer ceiling is very, very high. He didn't leave any dings on the walls or scratches on our wood floor from the scaffolding. The job took approximately 2 1/2 hrs to complete. He was very pleasant, cleaned up after the job was complete, and did a great job installing the new fixture. It looks great! I would definitely hire Hendricks County Electric again.

Mr. Swihart came to my house and prepared an itemized estimate while he was there. Based on the estimate, I opted to move forward with some of the work and defer the rest. We agreed on a day and he arrived as promised and performed all the work. He also provided a $25 coupon. Everything turned out great. It all works and is neat and orderly. I'll definitely use Hendricks County Electric again.

We recently purchased a home and had electrical items from the inspection to repair as well as few other things we wanted done. He was able to accomodate our schedule and came out at 7 p.m. for the estimate. He was pleasant, thorough, and did not seem to be in a hurry, even at the late hour. Some of our needs were specific and custom for what we wanted. He took good notes, and then provided a detailed, itemized quote the next day that allowed us to order "a la carte" what we wanted to have fixed now. We scheduled a day for him to come out and he got to work. I covered some items in detail at that time and he listened well, and did excellent work. He replaced an old 2-prong outdoor plug in the front of the house with a new 3-prong with cover. He also ran electricity under our deck and installed a nice outdoor plug with cover. Four under cabinet lights were installed in our kitchen...we were a little picky about how we wanted them done to minimize any visual wires, etc...he did a great job. We had him run wiring from inside our sunroom to outside and up to the roof line to install a motion-detector flood light. He also fixed a wiring problem in our chandelier and made some major improvements to our electrical panel in the garage. I opted to install my own post lamp, and he noted that the screws could be done differently to make it look better and offered to do it when he wrapped things up (no charge). Overall, Kevin was very friendly and versatile. We would recommend him and will use him again in the future.

They were extremely neat. They did a great job, there were a couple issues with the switch but they came out immediately to fix the problem with no hesitation. When I had my home inspected they referred this place.

I found him out of the phone book. He came over to install a new electrical plug and seen that there was more room in the the electrical box. He explained to me that I did not need a new electrical box because it appeared that way. He didn't want someone in the future to try to con me into getting a new box. He was very honest and kind.
