I disliked that the guy came out and at the end of the day basically just charged me a fee to come out and didn't perform any work. He said that I should just buy the parts and it became expensive. It was just overall a bad experience. I wasn't impressed.

Prompt delivery of what was promised.

We have low voltage lighting. They were very professional and knowledgeable. That is very hard in this instance. You just can't find that. That's why I had to wait on this one individual because he had expertise in this area, and if you don't have it, you're wasting your time.

They will give you a free estimate. And a majority of the time they will be lower than their competition. They have quality work.

When I spoke to both the phone person and the electrician in the back room to explain the problem, I told them both that I had pressed on and off the circuit on the switch plate and that did not work. My husband had gone to the master circuit box in the garage and done the same and it still did not work as the switch plate on box would not stay down... When the electrician arrived, he went to garage circuit box, pushed down on breaker and got it to hold and THAT WAS ALL HE DID....5 MINUTES. He apologized profusely that he HAD TO CHARGE ME A FULL CALL, but said it was policy. He claimed to have called the office and the phone girl told him to charge me the full fee $116.00. I do not feel that as a Angies List member and having used Frye at least 3 times before and I am not 2 miles away, that I should have been given at least a courtesy discount and maybe $50 instead of $116.00

The kitchen remodel (2014) had to be done in three parts. Brian was the technician that came out the first time. He was excellent. The second trip out was not as good. Tech was polite but he was having a bad day. The third and final visit for the kitchen remodel Brian came out again. He had to do a little clean up work from a couple mistakes made by the previous tech. Overall, they did very well. I called again to have a garage heater and a kennel heater installed. Requested Brian but learned he had moved on and was no longer with the company. Two other techs arrived and were very good. The job was done within two hours. I would not hesitate to use this company again and again.

Day one of install was as good as it could have been. The crew was not as skilled as I had hoped. they were unable to complete the job on the first day and were there for approximately 9 hours. They were unable to restore power to the outlets and light switch, and asked how important that was to me. So the office contacted me and sent out a new crew the next day and they finished the job promptly and professionally. They are are very professional and made sure the job was done. I am sure the first crew that was sent are good as well, everyone has a bad day sometimes.

I called Frye at 2 PM, technician came, did work, and was gone by 3 PM!

2015 Negative 10 degrees and furnace stopped suddenly and was being replaced. Furnace techs were preparing to connect to electrical box and the box started sparking.. Frye had electric techs there within an hour. Box was replaced under urgent and COLD conditions. Price was more than fair. 2016 Called Frye for electric outage in half the house. Tech on the phone suggested that IPL should look and evaluate the outage. Tech saved us a $ervice Charge by calling IPL instead. It was a complicate IPL issue. Grateful for free advise.

Electrician was prompt, professional. Peace of mind the job is done right by a Frye employee is worth the cost. I have hired this company multiple times.

My home had been water damaged and it was recommended that I have an electrical water damage inspection before beginning work in my basement. I selected Frye from Angie's list based on their ratings and reviews and scheduled for an inspection. I explained when I called that my main concern was a damage inspection. The tech arrived promptly and was very polite and professional. I explained again that I knew my basement needs rewiring, but my main focus at this point was getting a water damage inspection for my insurance company. After checking the basement, the tech verbally informed me there was water damage, but only gave me a written estimate to rewire the basement. I again explained that what I needed was a damage report. He stated I would have it in "a couple of minutes" in my inbox. Two days later, I still did not have the report. I called and spoke to the tech again and he stated he would get it to me that day. Four days later, still no report. When I called the company again, I was told they would speak with him and email me a report the same day. They did email me, but with another estimate and again, no water damage report. I would not very likely contract with them for a job of a few thousand dollars when I can't even get a damage report. This has now been another delay in trying to rebuild my basement.

A utility company accidentally cut a power line in my yard. I called Frye at 4:55PM on Thursday, they picked up and got me on the schedule for the next day! Ultimately, we ended up being able to locate and repair the line and we did not use Frye. However, based on our interactions with them, they will be our go to for any future issues that are beyond our ability. Everyone we spoke with was friendly, professional, and helpful. The rough estimate they gave us on the phone also seemed very reasonable for the issue at hand.

Frye was extremely responsive and professional. Robert was punctional, friendly and helpful. Even took the extra time to take a broken off light bulb out of the socket of my Mom's bathroom across the street.

I called Frye Electric to provide an estimate to install a new electrical panel and to add a whole house surge protector. The appointment was made for the next morning. Greg Wells the estimator arrived on time and provided a very fair price to complete the work. A date and a time was agreed on and Curtis the electric arrived promptly to begin the task. The project took about 4 hours to complete. The work area was clean-up following the installation. I am very please with the finished work and plan to employ Frye Electric for all of my electrical work in the future.

They came right out fixed the problem. The tech that was sent out was great and very experienced with the work that he performed. I will most definitely use them again and would refer them to anyone looking for electrical work.

I posted a review on Oct 14, 2015 with a rating of an F due to Frye's crew who didn't complete my work correctly. Owner/manager called the next day and stated he would send a check in the mail refunded my $350 for that service call and work. I am awaiting the check in the mail. I am pleased that this company admitted their crew's mistake ( not digging the wire deep enough) and I will try and use them in the future.

We called Frye Monday morning, and someone was out to our house by the afternoon. We were removing a wall in our kitchen and needed an old electrical box and outlet removed. They were prompt and did exactly what we wanted.

I was not home during the install but my wife was. She said they were very courteous, professional, and when I got home I was very pleased with the results. They did exactly what we wanted, and it looks perfect. I might add one more light, which the installer wired in such a way that that would not be a problem to add later. Will definitely be using them again.

A tree limb fell, ripped down the power lines, and pulled the anchor off the side of the house. The guys came out and gave me an estimate on the spot, helped coordinate with the power company, and fixed my service drop in just a couple hours. I was very pleased with their work and how they solved the problem for me.

They arrived promptly, they had the materials available, and made sure I tested it out before they left to make sure that it's working. It actually cost less than what I was quoted for the estimate.

My basement was being waterproofed, another sump pump was being added and I needed a 20 amp circuit in stalled. I called Dowdy Electric and a tech came out 5/27/15. After checking out every thing he told me it would cost 515.17. I decided to check with another company that heard about. I called Frye Electric and I talked with Mike Watson 5/27/15 he sent Justin and his helper out 5/29/15. they checked everything out and told it be 385.00. They installed what was needed. I am so pleased I will be calling them back to undo what another company did.

Mike arrived 10 minutes before the end of the agreed upon time window. He appeared hot, tired and eager to get finished. He replaced various parts and both units appeared to be working but one failed within a minute. After a few additional attempts he stated the fixture was defective and should be replaced. He said his company would not provide a new one but that we would have to get one ourselves and then he would install it .At that point he said "Sorry" and left taking the old parts and bulbs away for disposal He honored an Angies' coupon for a reduced hourly rate but did not offer a senior discount as advertised. He said he would check with the office about it but we never heard from them We were unhappy with the charges considering how little had been accomplished. We called another provider who purchased a new unit for less than $30.00 and promptly installed it.

fine. very helpful however, he was here for about 7 minutes, and it was $121!!! I understand a trip fee, but come on seriously???

Jerry and Julian located a section of disconnected electrical underground wire in the front yard which prevented the automatic dusk to dawn light from operating. They worked hard to find both ends of the electrical wires to reconnect them. While they had no choice but to dig holes in my lawn to find the wires, they did an excellent job in putting the grass back in place. They both were very professional.

very happy with their service they did a great job very nice and professional will call them again if I need any electrical work done will highly recommend to others needing work performed..
