Called (and left message) to request an estimate, call was returned and visit scheduled in a very efficient and timely manner. Technician came as scheduled (9/10/2013) , studied our requested project, and provided estimate, including a discount for being Angie's List members. We've used Frey Electric before and have always been satisfied with their work, so we opted to not get any additional estimates. We called to schedule the work. Technician (Dan Rogers) arrived on time on 9/13/2013. I had forgotten to previously request that he wear boot covers while working in our home and he cheerfully returned to the shop to get some. Upon arrival he got promptly to work, totally prepared with all necessary tools to do the job. We supplied the fixtures and he brought everything needed to install them and the switch. He asked a few questions about our preferences and efficiently completed the project.

Estimator did not have a good handle on what we wanted or needed. He declined to even provide an estimate on a pretty routine job

I called for a estimate and was asked if I wanted someone to come out, or over the phone. I had dealt with them before on a difficult installation and they came out for the estimate. This time I opted for a phone estimate. I was transferred to Greg who gives the estimates. I told him what I needed and how the basement was set up. He gave me a verbal estimate with a spread of $35 between high and low. Sam, the technician arrived early and sized up the job. I had a vauge idea of what he should do since I used to be a DIY. Of course he suggested a better way of doing it and explained why. I was just looking at the near term for hook ups instead of thinking about adding more components to the a/ v system. Did an excellent job and knew what he was doing. My hats off to Frye Electric for keeping the principle of "C.A.R.E.". Customers are really everything. Thanks for a job well done!

Dan did a great job. He had the problems with both fixtures diagnosed within minutes and repairs accomplished soon after. He was very professional and personable.

I was very pleased with the service and cost by Frye Electric. The staff was friendly and clean. They assembled the chandelier and had the equipment to hang it in my 2-story foyer. A quote was provided before they came so there was no question on how much it would cost. They even came back when I noticed the next day that a manufacturers sticker had been left on one of the chandelier globes. It was too high for me to reach, and they were very polite about coming back. Their price was reasonable. I would definitely recommend Frye Electric to everyone!!

The two electricians from Frye showed up basically in the timeframe stated when I called, and after thoroughly examining what the problem was, they fixed a malfunctioning GFI and outlet. I could not have been more pleased with the service, the price I was charged, or the entire experience. I would highly recommend Frye, and will definitely use them again should the need arise.

***Update*** Provider called to follow up on my issue and it was resolved quickly to my satisfaction. I will have the Frye team out again for future services. It is nice to work with contractors who are willing to discuss a problem and take care of it in a reasonable and professional manner. I called for an estimate on a new 240v outlet. The estimator was scheduled for a couple of days later. They came out and provided an estimate of $325 for the outlet and I asked them to go ahead and estimate a price to troubleshoot a GFI circuit on which the breaker had popped and would not reset (the estimate was $65). As a side note, I had not had a chance look at the GFI issue and figured I would have them take care of it since they were already going to be on site for the outlet. I thought the quotes were very reasonable, and I scheduled them to come out the next day. The technicians were courteous, prompt, professional and did fine work. I have no issue with the service and would hire the same crew again. Now for my issue. When I explained the GFI circuit issue and showed the electrician one of the outlets he noted that there was an outdoor lamp plugged into another outlet. (this is where I get to feel dumb for not taking a look myself) He asked if I had tried the breaker with the lamp unplugged. I had not, so I unplugged the lamp and we went to the breaker, which reset fine. Problem solved. While I do feel silly and maybe should pay a penalty for not checking it myself, I do want to note that the crew did not have to do any work (he did flip the breaker on my behalf). I suppose we can debate the definition of troubleshooting, but I do have a real problem paying for a service that did not have to be performed. I do understand a charge for a service call, but the crew was on site to handle the primary project. Consider me disappointed that the company felt it necessary to charge because I went ahead and put the item on the quote.

I just wanted to send the people of Frye Electric a message stating how pleased I am with the service I recently received. I called Wednesday morning to see about getting a guy out to the house and was surprised when Mike Watson informed me he could have someone out the NEXT day, first thing in the morning! The technicians arrived on time and called beforehand like I requested. I was ecstatic when I saw TWO guys get out of the truck. Many companies would only send one technician to a service job such as this, but Frye sent two qualified technicians who were efficient, knowledgeable, and well-mannered. Dan and Melvin completed the work I needed done (several switches and outlets needed replaced/repaired) in an extremely timely fashion. They also gave me a quote on having a ceiling fan removed and replaced in the future. The overall price of the service visit was EXTREMELY reasonable! I had rebate cards I wanted to use up as payment and Dan accommodated my request, even though it took him extra time to process 3 forms of payment. Frye Electric does quality work and I will certainly be calling them in the future for all my electrical needs.

It went absolutely well. It took him about 30 or 40 minutes. He was a nice guy, he's got the job done quickly. His price was pretty high to put a light bulb but he had to climb up on them, he had to use a truck, it's different because of the light way up in the air so we paid the price. The quality was fine. He was here right on time when he said he'd be here.

I contacted Frye to get an estimate on creating wiring for my new under-mount kitchen cabinet lighting. I was able to get an estimate very quickly. The crew determined that my old cabinets would ideally need to be removed first, so that I wouldn't have big walls to patch later (we were also getting new cabinets, so this was fine). My husband removed that row of cabinets, and Jeff was out the following Monday to run the wiring. Overall, it was a pleasant and professional experience -- they were prompt, the price was fair, and the electricity works. I'd call them again in the future if I need electrical work.

They were good. He could not figure out what the problem was the first time he came out, so he came back the next day so her won't just keep running up the charge. It was a junction box that had been left and caused a shortage, so he had to bring a special tool back the next day and kept working until he figured it out. They are very friendly, explained everything that they were doing as they were doing it, explained some electrical code because that was basically not in code to have a junction box there and we were trying to get an oven and the oven wasn't coded. I'm sure I'll call them back.

Excellent job, neat and polite, on time, and less than I expected.

Took 15 minutes to install light switch. Spent a lot of time talking. Charged for one hour plus travel charge.

I called for an est after the storm came through and took the electric line off our roof--the estimate guy came out within 24 hours. When I had the company back out to complete the job the tech didn't have the correct part to complete the job. He knocked on the door and told me he would be back shortly as he had to run to the hardware store to get the part and would be back. He finished up the job and was very polite and showed me the work he completed before asking for payment. Very time efficient and professional. Was very happy that even though he didn't have the part on the truck he was able to complete the job quickly. Other companies would have said they had to come back another day and finish the job. Overall extremely happy with the prices, quality of work and professionalism from company. We have had several storms since then and have had no problems with the work they completed for us.

He diagnosed the problem right away and had the parts in his truck. He installed the parts and it works like a champ. I am so very pleased. This is the 7th or 8th time I've used this company. They are always civil, polite, and interested in my problem. I want to compliment the man that solved the problem, Bill Rhynearson (who was most accommodating and pleasant), but also the woman who answered the phone and Mike Watson -the repair manager, who worked with me on rescheduling our original appointment without complaint.

They were unable to locate the pices needed for the job, therefore the ended up needing to make a second trip. Both of the items were a special order piece. They were very professional and spent time explaining the different options to me. I would definitely use their services in the future.

My husband and I were very pleased with the services provided. \they were both very professional, very friendly and actually finished the job UNDER what I was qouted. Will definitely be using them again! I already have a to-do list!!

Sam from Frye Electric showed up on time. He examined my breaker panel and determined there was merely some surface oxidation on the neutral wire that he was able to easily clean off. He assured me that my breaker panel was in great condition. Additionally, he removed some wire that was disconnected but not removed by last week's electrician. I have an 85-year-old house, and about 2/3 of the wiring is upgraded, while some is original BX. The first electrician told me I urgently needed to replace it. Sam basically said if it ain't broke, don't fix it. The remaining original wiring in my house is in great shape and is safe. The bigger issue he uncovered was that the circuit breaker installed by the other electrician last week is a code violation. It is a 20-amp circuit connected to a 14-gauge wire. I am appalled that the first electrician didn't even realize this. I am now in a battle with the original electrician to get him to come out and replace the breaker at no cost due to the faulty work. I'm half-tempted to just pay Frye Electric to come out and do the work.... The price I paid was less than half of what I was quoted, because I didn't need as much work as I had thought. I will ONLY use Frye Electric for ALL of my electrical needs in the future. I appreciate the honesty and candor. That is difficult to find. I highly recommend this company!
