Noting problems with older Pushmatic breaker replacement in February, I requested Frye Electric to give me a price to update my load center to modern standards. It included replacing one hundred amp service of three panels with one two hundred amp service load center with modern breakers, a sole microwave dedicated line, new meter base replacing two older styles and verifying all existing circuits, and cleanup. As advised in February I waited until heating season wasn't a factor and called for a date to start. 28 April was set to start. Work started on that date The workmen were polite and knowledgeable; working to after midnight the first day to assure power service of needed household systems, vital to an invalid of the home. Yes I'd have Frye again! Further they held firm to Their February estimated quote. .

The discovered the issue was under the house. The electrician was very nice and courteous. He resolved the issue with the breaker.

They did the job for five minutes for that amount. They were fine, prompt and professional. They have good manners.

Requested an appointment to have someone look at a smoke detector which we believed to be malfunctioning. The particular unit is unlike any others in our house and we did not believe it to have battery back-up so assumed it was an electrical issue. Electrician came, determined that it does have battery back-up, changed battery with new one that we provided and charged us $108 ($118 less $10 Angie?s List coupon discount). After identifying issue, electrician did not give opportunity to decline his services and therefore avoid the hourly charge. He was here for approximately 15-20 minutes, and that includes time spent doing his internal paperwork in his truck. When I got home and learned of the situation and charge, I immediately called Frye to question the fairness of this. I was put through to voice mail of the responsible party and left a detailed message that I was hoping they would work with us on the matter because quite honestly, the charge seemed quite outrageous to me. My call was returned within a half hour with offer to remove the $67.50 trip charge and charge us only $50.50 for a half hour of labor. When I inquired about their supposed ?free estimates,? I was told that only applies to new work and that when you call to have something fixed its automatically a service call instead. I still don?t think that?s a great deal, and I told him that, but I was willing to accept the offer. (I acknowledge that it costs them to send someone out, and I acknowledge that it?s our crazy mistake that we didn?t realize the back-up existed, but I feel the price was a gouge and I also believe in establishing goodwill in hopes of building long-term client relationships.) It may have seemed like an insignificant job to them, and yes, we were new customers, but as our previous electrician is no longer available, we were hoping to find a new ?permanent? electrician. Clearly that won?t be Frye for us.

The Frye electrician was scheduled to arrive between 9:00 a.m. and noon. He arrived at 10:00 and got straight to work. He replaced the existing light fixtures with the ones that we provided with no difficulty. We then asked him to troubleshoot a problem we were having in our wood working shop, which is in a separate building. He did some investigation and was able to determine the cause of the problem and fix it while he was there. We were pleased with the work that was done.

He did an excellent job with all 5 tasks, provided suggestions and answered my questions, was very professional and personable during the time in our home. Additionally, he prepared estimate for additional work that we want completed in our home. He was very knowledgeable and efficiently completed all the tasks. We are very satisfied with the work.

They were quick turn around. I was able to get them scheduled within a week. They came and did a good job.

The work was performed by Brian Fauber. He was prompt, professional and friendly. He used his time with us in an efficient manner and had his inspection and work completely in a short amount of time.

They were professional and fast. Will definitely use them again.

Michael Watson answered my Angies List email request promptly, and they were out the very next morning to install some detector replacement units in my mother's home. They were professional and efficient, finishing in less than an hour. Very pleased!

On Dec 3, the owner of the company arrived (without calling ahead as instructed) to provide an estimate. The estimate included some minor electrical work, to hang 4 ceiling fans, and design/hang a Christmas light display. Even though the estimate was higher to hang the ceiling fans, we decided to go with the one stop shop. The owner stated he would have his secretary call and arrange a date/time to provide the service. After waiting 3-4 hours to hear from the company, I called to arrange the appointment to have the service performed. The earliest Frye could perform the above mention service was one week later. On the day the service was provided the workers arrived 30 minutes after the provided arrival time. The ceiling fans were installed well. I did not appreciate that the electricians did not pick up after themselves after completing the work. As far as the Christmas lights, they did not have any information on their job ticket regarding the Christmas lights. Without having the equipment for the Christmas decorations, they couldn't complete that task. The workers present were very apologetic and stated often the owner doesn't communicate well when he provides estimates. In conclusion, only half the service was provided. The labor cost ended up being $420 for two electrician to provide 3 hours worth of service.

FRye did excellent work, quickly and at a good price.

Justin and Josh arrived on time and in about an hour an a half had installed all 3 sets of lights under the eaves of my ranch home. They had to run electricity to the sites. They even fixed my doorbell while they were at it.

They were excellent. It took about 3 hours to do the job. The guy that came out was amazing! It was quite a complicated issue that we had, but he just trying until he fixed everything.

Jerry & Jeff were very knowledgable and efficient. They got to the root of my electrical issue and made the necessary repairs without taking me for a ride like some service techs/repairmen unfortunately sometimes try to do especially when the customer is a woman. This in & of itself speaks volumes for the integrity and honesty of Frye Electric. I give Frye Electric, Jerry & Jeff and the other employees KUDOS! I would/will most definitely do business with Frye Electric again and refer their services to others in need of competent and honest electricians.

We have used Frye 3 times in the last month, and we've been pleased with the associates and their work. They've done a number of dfiferent electrical jobs on our house, inside and out. We consider them "our" electrical company, and will continue calling them for future needs.

Dan is an extremely courteous and knowledgeable technician. He fixed my problem in a short period of time, very professional young man. I would definitely recommend Frye Electric for any and all electrical issues.

Original estimate over the phone was higher than actual charge- so we were pleased. Seems like they are a company of integrity and from what I can tell quality work.

Terrific. Placed a phone call for service shortly before 9:00 today. Appointment was scheduled immediately, they arrived, diagnosed the problem, made the repair & were gone by 10:00am. Billed for 30 minutes @ $118 which included the trip charge. Customer service @ it's best.
