This is the 2nd time I've used Ferryman Painting and I have been very pleased each time. I hired David to paint all my trim and eaves, as the old paint didn't match the new siding. He was on time for the estimate and gave a fair estimate. He did the work back in July when the temps were 95 degrees plus. I told him I was in no hurry, if he wanted to wait until it cooled down a bit. He worked anyway and did a great job. I would (and have) recommend him to anyone.
Description of Work: David painted the trim and eaves on my house.

He was a really nice guy and very responsible. The quality was not perfect but we got a really good deal. We were trying to sell our house and we wanted it done quickly. He left everyday with everything picked up.
Description of Work: We used David Ferryman to paint a ceiling and the walls of three rooms. He did touch up in the living and dining rooms and completed painted our master bedroom.

David never set any time aside for this job, even tho I was a past customer and had referred other business to him. (I had also used his father Darrell, a painter, years before whom I still think highly of). He would show up, work for a couple hours, then say he had some other job to finish first. As he went around the house I would find areas that he had "missed:" a board here, a dormer there that just got passed over! He totally sprayed my flood lights to where the sensor couldn't tell if it was day or night, but then took another month to come do anything about it. He tried to power wash part of the peeling this June and left huge gouges in the wood which will need sanding to repaint. When I called and told him to come get his ladder as I was going with another painter I told him I would leave it to his conscience and ethics as to what he thought should be refunded to me for never completing the job. I have received NO money returned to date. I would no longer recommend him.
Description of Work: I trusted David as he had done some good interior painting work for me a few years earlier. In March 2006, I had him give me a bid for a complete re-painting, caulking, etc. of the exterior of my 2 story home. He finally started the project in August 2006 (with no good explanation for the long delay) and, because of my prior experience with him I was stupid enough to pay him in full after he seemed to make substantial progress. By November, the job had still not been finished, but I was noting some peeling on areas he had already painted. He came out and agreed it would need repainted in the Spring. By June, 2007, he returned after several calls from me and, to make long story short, still never completed the job. Some areas of the house have still not gotten that first coat of new paint in 1 1/2 years. I have now found a competent painter who will re-do the entire job.
