They really educated me on what I need to do to maintain my computer. They also installed and easy-to-use maintenance feature that I can run myself once a month. The pricing was fair compared to other places I'd looked in to. It took them about 5 days to perform the service. Both guys that I dealt with were really personable and good about giving me information that I could take notes on to take home. The left me a message first before proceeding with the repairs to get the go ahead from me.

My computer had crashed. I took it in and they cleaned the hard drive and system registry and tested it. They also updated software and upgraded the malware and maintenance programs. My computer was good as new and I had it back in a few days. I had a small problem with a program afterwards and they talked me through it on the phone. I always know I will get great service without it costing me an arm and a leg.

They gave me a quote, which I agreed to. It ended up being considerably higher, though they hadn't informed me of that or gotten my okay to proceed. They put in a lesser hard drive, with less memory, without my permission also. I originally took my computer to them because I was concerned about a noise it was making, but the noise was tremendously worse by the time I got my computer back. It also began to turn on by itself. When I called them about it, they said there was nothing further they could do for me. My computer was really much better off before I took it to them. The computer was totally unusable after they worked on it and had to be disposed of. After paying them nearly $376 for repair, I had to go buy a new one.

This company doesn't seem to have a handle on time management. Customer service must not be a high priority with them. They may do perfectly fine work... I just couldn't get them to honor their times they scheduled me. It is irritating that I had to call them, instead of them keeping me informed that the times promised were not going to work out. I wasted a week from the time I first called this company until I finally got fed up and canceled.

Very good people to deal with. My computer is very complex with multiple monitors, but it was not a problem loading drivers and programs for Computer Works...they got it all right! UPDATE: After years of being a customer of Avon Computer Works my kindness and understanding finally ran out after finding out they are good at solving "simple" computer problems but not complex ones. After re-formating 2 working hard drives...telling me they were bad...then telling me it was my working video card....then replacing the motherboard....well I got so upset after loosing all my data -- I finally understood they were attempting to solve my problems at my expense using the process of elimination. Of course once you have all new components....then will not have any more issues. I finally got smart and severed my ties. Even though it was a tough decision because I had grown to really like the owner Richard, but at some point its best to move on, Matter of fact I had even written good reviews in the past for him on several blog sites....but now thats changed and I just honestly couldn't recommend them to anyone because of my horrible experience. I now highly recommend MIKES COMPUTER SOLUTIONS in Clermont Indiana. He works out of his home so his prices are much more reasonable. He is a person with integrity who will get the problem fixed quickly and correctly. He even was able to fix the issue with my computer that Avon Computer Works took a month guessing and still couldn't figure out - it took Mike 3 days and it was done and done right! So please go see Mike; tell him you read the blog from Mark wrote - I promise you will like the outcome and the cost!
