He did great work but the hot tub is leaking out on the left side of the bottom. Something inside the hot tub has a leak.

They did a good job. Came right out.

I appreciated that Robert was on time and did a thorough cleaning of our hut tub. He gave me some very helpful pointers. I received great service, and I would definitely hire him again.

I have always had a great experience with APS. They have always taken the time to answer questions(when I was a new pool owner and clueless) and are professional and ensure all work is done and correct. Our automatic cover malfunctioned last summer and they happened to be in the area so they can out to see if they could assist the person watching our house. They were very professional and once they saw it was a bigger issue than thought, they helped us get in contact with the people we need. They truly care about their customers and I have continued using them since 2013.

They came four times, this summer, within a short time and right away, after I called. the first time Mike replaced the pool pump motor. Then, on the second instance, they replaced the sand. Then, the problem persisted and they replaced the pump. Then, the pipes on the new pump were leaking a little and they came to take care of that. The whole thing was done without me having to be home. Excellent service and response. I am very satisfied with this company.

After utilizing Mike owner of Affordable Pools, Spa and Tanning Bed Services located at 6280 Red Alder Dr, Avon, IN 46123 for the last several years for my hot tub repairs I was recently shocked and see a change of business strategy. In years past it wasn't always about the job preached Mike it was about helping neighbors and still being able to operate. Recently I contacted him because a trouble code appeared and I told him the code over the phone. He was very responsive willing to promptly come over the next day and like always very professional. As I started talking to Mike he indicated there was a $45 trip charge and there is also a $65 diagnosis/evaluation fee. At that time I remained professional and told Mike after spending at least $400 each year with him I wasn't going to keep handing out money to "fix" my hot tub each year. You would have thought since we both live close to each other in Avon along with the fact that I was a loyal customer, he would be willing to swing by and take a glance and give me an estimate free of charge - NOPE - I am very let down and hurt to see how money and greed has taken over his life. I called a plumber friend from Church about my situation and he was surprised by that response from Mike. He gave me a number to call and I had him at my home within the hour. He was able to simply hit the breaker and prime my pump and the trouble code vanished - it took about 5 mins. Best thing about this he said was the fact he made a new friend. In the future if my hot tub actually needed repairs I will definitely call him and he went on to say that he would charge me a reasonable fee and not gouge me with a trip fee and evaluation fees. I told him I would put him on Angies list and write up my positive experience to share his name with others. God has a way of sending angels when your in need!

The cover repair went fine. The technician removed the light and fixed the repair. They then left it hanging for my husband to put back in place. It was quite difficult. 90 days later I noticed that the pool is still leaking. I requested that Mike, the owner, review their repair and possibly work on it. He told me over email that there is only a 30 day warranty and he doesn't stand by his work. What? He gave me a phone number for another company to do work on it. What? I am very disappointed that for this kind of money he could not provide good customer service and stand by the work he provided. I do not recommend him or his company.

Mike was very helpful and took time to explain some important issues with pool reference the water level, a possible leak and other related pool system hardware. Also gave additional information reference maintenance of hottub. I will be following up with him to address these current and future concerns.

Great. Was referred to us by our home warranty company. Was prompt and had the parts that were needed. Had me text him a picture before he arrived to ensure he had the correct parts when he arrived. Since it was a home warranty issue, I only paid $100 out of pocket.

Mike did a fantastic job. I can now clean the pool in 1/3rd the time with much less effort due to the increased suction. Now we can spend more time having fun with our "pool-dogs"; Mac (our 7 yr old golden) even has his own raft to relax on. We have already decided to use this company next spring to replace our pool liner. Mike is a great guy. Please call him and let him take care of all your pool problems.

Went out to go swimming, and noticed some cloudiness in the bottom of the pool...uh, oh! Went to my chlorine generator, as it had been giving me grief, to see if it finally failed, but didn't hear the pool pump running. When I reset the power on the pump, I would get a buzzing noise from the pump, but no water movement. I wish I hadn't made plans for a party on Saturday. Well, I decided to notify my home warranty service to see if it can be fixed by Saturday. I notified the warranty service at 5:30pm that my pump had failed. They said I would get a call in the morning from Affordable Pools and Spas to arrange service. Mike called me around 6:30pm, and informed me he would stop by in the morning. No one would be home, but he said we do not have to be here. I got home the next day at 1:00pm, and the pump was running. Mike did an excellent job diagnosing and fixing the problem quickly. He replaced only the part that needed fixing, and left a note with a fall pool closing quote on our front door. Mike claims to fix only whats needed, instead of making the customer buy a brand new piece of equipment, when a cost effective replaceable part had failed. Mike answered all phone calls promptly, and repaired the problem quickly. A little note on professionalism: As with all providers, professionalism goes a long way, and is evident in the smallest of acts. I had left two gates open for him, because they can sometimes give people grief when entering my yard. Mike closed both gates when he left. Further, Mike left our invoice on the front door, with a quote for fall closing of our pool. While this certainly was a smart move to increase his business, Mike anticipated our future needs, and left a written quote. He did not leave a note asking me to call to get a quote. Previous experience with other shops was that gates were typically left open, with a note asking me to call for a drawn out sales pitch on things I "have" to spend money on. I felt as though there was no pressure from Mike. I will definitely be calling him again. One last thing. I am a DIY'er when it comes to my pool. I manage the chemicals while avoiding pool shops, except for the specialty chemicals I cannot buy elsewhere. I was planning on closing my own pool, but with the prices Mike offers, I will likely contact him. He is at least $75 less than the cheapest pool shop near me.

I called and spoke with Michael. He was very attentive and knew just what we wanted to have done. He arrived within the given time frame, was very professional and did an excellent job. He cleaned and went over the condition of our tanning bed and offered some great maintenance pointers. The final price was within the estimate range he provided when I scheduled the appointment. I will definitely call him again.

He has done a wonderful job. The owner does the work himself and occasionally he would bring help with him. It is a family owned business. He is very good with communication. We had some issues with our pool earlier in the season when we were trying to open the pool. We couldn't open it right away. He kept us notified as to when the pool is going to be opened. We have had a couple of parties over the weekend and he has come just to check if the pool is clean and everything was okay even without me asking. He charges us $70 for the pool cleaning and chemicals and that is comfortable compared to other people.

I had him do some warranty work for me a few years ago as well. He is reasonable and he does quality work. One of the biggest things is that I haven’t had to call him back once he’s done work for me; he does over and above standard. I plan on having him open my pool in the spring.

Mike opened our pool, worked really hard to get it cleaned up because I had let it get bad over the winter. he came by almost everyday and did not charge for any extra labor

We found them through our home warranty company. I had some troubles with other local pool service companies and that’s why I was very skeptical about trying another pool service company. However, the pool service guy was very straightforward. He not only educated us but also provided service for which we were grateful. He also kept on calling me and updating me about a part that he was unable to find. I didn’t have to keep checking with him to see what was going on. He was proactive in doing that himself.

He was prompt and over-performed, any other vendor would have charged extra for work on the liner and Mike must have spent an extra hour on this without charging me. He also tinkered with my aging chlorinator and gave me ideas on how to fix it. Finally, Mike delivered all the chemicals I need for the summer and gave a price competitive with online prices.
