+ -1 moreOverall everything went great. Wayne called us a week in advance, and he and his crew showed up as scheduled. Our patio now looks like it should.
Description of Work: We had installed our brick paver patio ourselves. We couldn't get the edging to hold up. Mr Fishburn came out and inspected our patio. He stated that we had installed too much sand, and we didn't go out far enough with the crushed rock. He gave us an estimate of $685.00 (with our Angies List 10% discount, it was $616.50) to do the following: Remove 2 feet of of pavers around the edges. Install the proper crushed stone and level and compact it. Re-install the removed pavers and edging, install the sand we had between the pavers, and compact the entire patio.

+ 0 moreHe was timely. He and his crew were all very professional and efficient. Their clean up was the best I have ever had. The area they were working in, as well as the surrounding area, was much cleaner than when they arrived. I would definitely use them again.

He also has a stock of his own real established plants at his home. He is a master at the quick fix. He also has very reasonable prices comparatively. He will always give you the most for your money.

+ -1 moreThe wonderful thing about Mr. Fishburn is that he does exactly what he says he's going to do....and more. He said the job would be finished in one day, and it was. His crew was professional and so nice. Because of how good my yard now looks, my neighbor has hired him to landscape his yard. And I got Mr. Fishburn's name from another neighbor who had used him, and the results were great.
Description of Work: My front yard is in complete shade, and nothing has grown well there. Mr. Fishburn designed an incredible 2-level yard which included a small stone wall, wonderful plantings, several boulders and a Japanese maple tree. When I came home the day he started and finished, I couldn't believe it! The yard was so much more than I ever anticipated. In addition to what had been included in the estimate, he put in umpteen pansies, hostas, and bleeding hearts plus 4 more boulders. It is a show-stopper!

+ 0 moreExcellent! Wayne has an amazing eye for landscape design. The transformation in my front yard is unbelievable and we have already received numerous compliments. There were a few things I needed Wayne to come back to "fine tune," and he immediately returned to take care of them. Not only does Wayne and his crew do excellent, high quality work, but he always shows up when he says he will and he shows up on time. If the weather becomes a factor, Wayne always calls to let me know there might be a delay. I will use Wayne and his crew for all my landscaping/lawn care projects!

+ -1 moreWe were extremely pleased with the entire process. Wayne arrived on time to discuss our project and provided us with a quote on the spot. We scheduled our project a few days later. Wayne's crew arrived early on the day they were scheduled and finished on time. Wayne was very easy to work with. The crew placed all of the plants, still in the container, in the spots they were intending to plant them. This gave us a chance to see what it would look like when completed. We made a few changes which Wayne was very agreeable to. He and his crew were easy to work with and left the job site clean each day. We love how the landscaping looks and couldn't be more pleased.
Description of Work: We had all of the front yard and part of the back yard landscaping redone. We also had 3 trees removed.

+ 2 moreWonderful, they came in on Tuesday and they were done by Friday of that week. There were no problems at all, in fact Wayne came back on his own and put some covers on drain spots.
Description of Work: We reconfigured our back yard patio. We had a patio and it was in need of repair and upgrading. Mr Fishburn came out twice and was able to do exactly what we wanted plus he had some excellent ideas that we went with. He was able to give us a price on the spot. Plus we started about 3 weeks after we started this project.

+ -1 moreWe liked Wayne the moment we met him. He was not intimidated by the scope of the work that needed to be done (landscapers we brought out in the past were). He sees the same potential we do and shared some of his ideas with us. He provided me with addresses of previous jobs in similar settings which was very helpful. He and his crew were prompt and polite. They were able to do in one day what it would have taken us an entire summer to accomplish. We definitely plan to work with Wayne next spring when we are ready to begin phase 2 of our backyard makeover! We recommend him without hesitation. He did everything when he said he would do it and executed it very well!
Description of Work: Wayne and his crew cleaned and cleared our overgrown back yard (woodland setting). They spread 35 yards of mulch and also cleaned up the front yard landscaping.

+ -1 moreWayne came and discussed the work, we talked about what we wished to accomplish and he was able to tell us in detail what he envisioned. We set a date for the work and knew exactly how long it would take to complete. Wayne and his crew appeared at the appointed time and proceded to carry out the work, they always did more than discussed. Extremely professional, punctual, and delightfully creative!
Description of Work: Wayne created several distinct landscaped areas in our yard, using enormous boulders,shade plantings and stone walls to define and shape an otherwise unremarkable area. We have large number of mature trees, so are unable to grow grass, have mostly moss. Wayne created distinct garden areas that conformed and add definition to the lot. The change in the look of the house and lot is beautiful. Wayne's ability to have a vision about what he can create in your space is amazing!!! I would trust him to work on any area without reservation!!

+ -1 moreWayne and his crew completely rebuilt and designed our front yard. The landscaping was superb as we have a difficult lot to work with. He conceptualized the new look and integrated it beautifully with a redesign of our house. The stonework they used to build terraces of new plantings was especially creative and has matured very nicely. The new sidewalk and lighting he installed with his sub-contractors has also been a major addition to the overall appeal of the project. Wayne is prompt, attentive to detail, has excellent subs and is very easy to work with on a dialy basis. His creativity allowed us to avoid the additional expense of a landscape architect.
Description of Work: Wayne and his crew excavated the old front yard and plantings. They then began to move earth to create three terraces to blunt the sharp slope of the yard. Wayne specializes in using stones to create natural looking walls and support areas. He used a wide variety of plants, bushes and small trees in each of the terraces to create a lush environment without looking overgrown at the same time. The sod they laid down took to the yard quickly and has remained weed and pest free the past three years. Finally, his subs for lighting, sidewalk and irrigation work were excellent and he coordinated their work together extremely well.

He is kind of multi purpose and he knows that we have kids in college and that we can?t afford to do a lot of extra stuff. He also does snow clean up for an extra fee. He actually landscaped the front yard for us about 8 years ago.

+ -1 moreHe was extremely unprofessional. Apparently, Wayne Fishburn doesn't care about how he's perceived by the neighbors in the neighborhood.
Description of Work: The company was removing leaves for the neighbor across the street from my home. The workers were blowing leaves from the neighbors home into the street. The leaves were blowing into my yard. I had paid another company to remove my leaves on Monday, Nov 9th. There were no leaves in my yard. I approached Wayne Fishburn Inc.'s workers concerning the leaves and paper being blown into my yard. One of the workers came over to pick up the paper. When the owner Wayne Fishburn came back I saw the workers talking to him pointing to my yard. I waited in my yard for Wayne Fishburn to approach me about the problem. Instead he continue going pass my home. I stopped Wayne Fishburn and complained about the leaves his workers had blown in my yard. He indicated it wasn't his employees fault for the leaves being in my yard, the wind was blowing the leaves in my yard. He continued going down the street.
