Scott Odom Heating and Ac LLC

I’ve been in the same house since 2001. Scott Odom replaced our boiler soon after we moved into our home. He was not working independently at the time, but he did excellent work. Our boiler worked flawlessly for years. Around 2015, our boiler went out on New Year’s Eve. We called Scott and he sent out a repairman within a few hours. He fixed it quickly and even checked back a few hours later to make sure everything was still working. Great service! In 2022, we needed to replace our AC system and we called several AC places for a quote. Scott’s quote was significantly lower than the other two bids. He did excellent work again. He even wired our gas boiler as an option to the new gas furnace. In the middle of the winter, our boiler stopped working. We flipped the switch and the gas furnace clicked in. It was so easy. This year, our son bought a house. I recommended he have Scott evaluate the aging AC system. Scott came out and said the system was fine, and he had 3-5 years left in the system. No sales pitch. Just an honest evaluation. It’s hard to find people like this anymore.

I am still considering a police report. This man was called by our landlord earlier this summer and was very pushy about coming right away. My husband asked him to wait and he refused saying that he was already in the neighborhood. When he arrived we did not hear him knock and when my husband went to empty the dust pan into the trash in the garage he was standing in there with a smirk. My husband told him that we weren't getting any air coming out of the vents in the back of the house. He then went into the attic and placed our Christmas tree box on the box that is used to divert air to temporarily hold it together. So, on 6/19 we had to contact our landlord again because it had been over 80 degrees in our home for multiple days. The landlord never told us that anyone was coming and we never heard from anyone. After a very stressful day on 6/20 at 6 in the evening I was nude on my way into my garage to dress into my swimsuit and get into the pool in my backyard. When I opened the door there was a strange man standing in my garage looking at the furnace. When I started screaming he began coming closer. After screaming at the top of my lungs and slamming the door I ran to get my phone. While calling 911 I locked my front door and watched out the window as he got back out of his van approached my front door and tried to enter my home. While speaking with 911 I again screamed for him to leave and told him that the police were on their way. Only then did he yell and ask if I wanted my air fixed. He told my husband later on the phone that he entered our garage because he had been here before and the landlord had asked him to get a hold of us.

He could not correct the major problem at the time - It was a failed Bryant Heat Exchanger that was supposed to be covered by Carrier under a parts and labor agreement (that is why, later, the Bryant rep gave me an estimate for $1300+). The technician got our heat back up! Scott also came later and gave an extremely competitive estimate for a new Trane furnace and AC system. He evaluated my duct system - pointing out that the builder had undersized the return air ducting (which explained why my AC would never cool down the 2nd floor on hot days.

The price and experience were both great. They worked very efficiently and we are very happy. They offer a 2 year labor warranty and quotes from others only covered 1 year.

Showed up on time, worked while the house was very cold, very professional and made sure I understood everything that was being installed. Great service.
