+ -1 moreUnfortunately the compressor was shot on my 8 year old refrigerator. The tech recommended replacing the refrigerator instead of a costly repair which would have benefited Hoppies, but wouldn't have been the best for me.
Description of Work: Our refrigerator died the day before Thanksgiving. I called Hoppies and a techician arrived less than 2 hours later.

Description of Work: I had a hard time finding someone willing to check out my LG washing machine. Hoppies willingly came out the very next day. Unfortunately he recommended replacing over fixing, since one of the parts had to come from overseas and it would have taken weeks. He was very helpful, though, and took the time to explain what was wrong and the workings of HE machines.

Description of Work: Looked at our dryer and washing machine. He fixed our dryer in minutes and ordered a new dial for it also. Then looked at our washer and got the new part ordered. Told us we could put the part in ourselves when it came in.

+ -1 moreMonday I called Hoppies for help with our problem. Mike showed up Tuesday morning to help. He checked the a couple of things then ordered a dryer control board $247.00 for the board. It was in the next day . He came right out and put it in. Well lo and behold it still didn't work. After checking the part to make sure it was good, he did some more checks and found out we were not getting power to the control panel. He ordered a new control panel. That was going to cost another $247.00. He told me i wood not have to pay for it because i bought the other board that turnd out not to be the problem. It took a couple of days for it to show up. As sone as he got it he brought it right out and put it in. true to his word he called it even. He was going to bring the the old board back to use and put it in since it was not bad. They had already sent it back to the company. So it cost me $332.00 the cost of one part and one trip. So I got two new parts and three trips for the price of one board and one trip. Total cost could have been $579.00.
