James offered suggestions and options for the remodel but left the final decisions up to us. He did a great job of explaining what he was planning to do and answered all of my many questions as he was performing the work. He did all the work himself. His estimate was close to the final cost and any potential and/or additional costs were explained and he did include some items in the quoted price. His price wasn't the lowest we received, but we felt the quality of his work would be worth the extra cost and we were right! Demolition was completed on a Friday and work began the next Monday. As he started the rebuild, he made sure the existing sub-structure was sound with no water damage. As the job progressed, he had some issues come up but he was unphased and worked to correct them in a quality way. He added some nice touches like full wood molding around the window and added small wooden shelves at each end of our long vanity to keep us from having to purchase a custom-sized countertop. He also put up the new curtain rod and painted our existing door after taking the time to make sure it was sanded and ready for painting. In the end, he made sure everything was "move-in" ready by the time he left. I would use Griffin Construction again for future remodeling as well as other construction projects!
