Anderson Appliance Repair

I found them on Google and Yellow pages. I called them and they told me there was a $65.00 service charge, but if I paid with a credit card up front it was only $50 and that would go towards my service so I decided to go ahead and pay them. I gave them my card and advised them I was going to use a different credit card to pay balance. I called them back shortly after meeting with them the first time to ask additional questions and someone different than who I had spoken with answers the line. Later that same day the repair guy called me from a Michigan phone number and said he would come out to my home at 7pm. We went over details and I gave him my information. After closing that call I had a bad feeling, so I started investigating. I called their number again and yet again someone completely different answered the line. I asked them if they had web site and they said yes and it was apliancerepairman.com. I looked into it and that website is not valid. Then I called them again and asked the same question and they informed me that there was no website. I started to become suspicious and I called repair man back just to confirm the appointment. He told me his girlfriend was mad because she missed a nail appointment so he wouldn’t be able to make it. I felt that was information that did not apply to me and I did not understand why he shared that. I also asked him questions as to why I keep calling the company number and speaking with different people. They said they have dispatchers to take the calls and then they route those calls to the subcontractors. He assured me they are a legit company and that I was not being scammed. I did some investigating on line and I found an article a news channel wrote in Ohio and Appliance Repair Anderson was on it and they were connected to several cities across the country. It mentioned they were in 35 different cities and after reading that information I decided to cancel my credit card. They are scheduled to come out today, but I doubt I will ever hear back from them.
