I don't usually write reviews but my experience with this company needs to be shared. It is very difficult to find a company that actually takes pride in their work and does what they say they are going to do. In my experience when you find that company save their number and tell your friends. I had some issues with a low producing well and needed some solutions, I called K&K to make an appointment, they showed up on time and the guys who came out were polite, courteous of my property and explained everything in detail. I decided not to keep throwing good money at this 50 year old well and asked to get a estimate on going deeper. The owner Ken called me to schedule an appointment to survey the property, he took some measurements, researched other nearby wells, explained the process, gave me several options and promptly sent me a quote. After speaking with Ken it was obvious he knew his business and had a lot of experience, he never tried to get me to make a decision one way or the other,he just gave his honest professional opinion and let me decide. After signing the quote he went to work securing the permits and scheduling the job. The communication was outstanding every step of the way, I knew exactly what was being done on what day throughout the whole process. I stopped by the job twice and both times the workers went out of their way to explain what they were doing and why, it was clearly obvious they took pride in their work and the company they worked for. When the job was complete they cleaned up and did their best to return the yard to a manageable restoration project. I now have a brand new high producing well I wish I would have done sooner. If you are in need of a reputable well contractor who takes pride in what they do look no further than K&K Well Drilling.

Came out quickly, guys were very friendly and knowledgeable.

Two workmen answered all questions and were very informative about what they were doing.

Ken, the owner was very generous with his time and advice. I was very grateful for the ideas and thoughts he offered us at no charge. We will be sure to use him in the future should we ever need help with our well. He gave me much peace of mind about the way I would handle the well pump and winterizing.

I honestly could not be happier. I had a lot of anxiety going into this because I was dealing with two crises - my well was leaking in the front yard and my septic was leaking in the backyard. Everyone I encountered at this company was wonderful beginning with the person who answered the phone, the guy who called me back, the guys that diagnosed the problem, the president of the company and the guys that fixed the problem. They were all personable, prompt, courteous and explained things in a way I could understand. Due to my financial anxiety I asked if they could provide a few estimate options (example repairing the pitless adapter, replacing the pitless adapter with a pitless unit, replacing the pump, etc). They not only provided them to me I got them later the same day and we got work going 2 days later before a forecasted freezing rainstorm. My parents were the original owners of the home, had it built in the early 1970s and Kand K was the company that installed the well (I found the original receipt in my father’s paperwork!). Although the pump has been replaced twice due to lightning strikes, there’s never been any actual problem with the well and the lines coming into the house. In fact, this was the first time this thing has ever leaked. Overall, great company, great work and great employees, I highly recommend this company.

They did a really good job. They were knowledgeable and they came and did the work, they were there when they said they would be there and did what they were contracted to do. They were pretty competitive on price.

In order to replace the well pump, they had to dig about 8 feet down around the well to access the pitless directly. This was due to corrosion preventing normal means of removal. Once they removed the top 8 feet of well pipe, they tried to pull the pump out. Since corrosion had developed due to years of ground water seepage through a poor weld at the top (not theirs), preventing the removal of the old pump they had to put a smaller form factor pump in along side the old pump. They worked on this job for a full day and a half and tried to do the least intrusive things first and progressed in a logical manner. In the end, it cost me more than a normal pump replacement, but that was due to their having to bring in a back hoe as well as replacing my failed pressure tank. They did a good job and didnt give up until my water was restored. Lesser companies may have drilled a new well, but Kand K got this one working again. I would definitely recommend Kand K Well Drilling.

The water well service point into my house was constructed of the orginal galvanized pipe, which was badly corroded, and sprung a leak. After disconnecting the pressure tank to relieve the water pressure I found that the pipe into the tank was clogged with grit. I telephoned KK Well Drilling and asked if there would be a problem just cleaning out the grit before reconnecting the tank after replaced the corroded pipes. They told me that they had two servicemen working in my area who could take a look at it the problem and also make sure there was enough pressure in the tank. The servicemen arrived and checked the tank pressure which was a little low. They felt that the grit may not be residue from the galvanized pipe but from the water softener mineral tank so I should .call somone to get it checked. I told them that I was not looking forward to replacing all the galvanized pipe and they offered to replace it all with PVC for $200. They did an excellant job with new pipe, gauge, pressure switch, and main shut off valve. They also cleaned the grit from the pressure tank and added pressure. All in about an hour. I'm glad I called for their advice and they came out because they saved me a big headache having to deal with the plumbing. KK Well Drilling had also replaced my well pump about ten years ago when it .went out. They came out quickly and had it replaced in no time so I was without water for only a short period.

Our well was not working. We called for service and a representative came out and tested the pump and found that the wiring to the pump at the bottom of the well was grounded out. The pump, pvc pipe and cable were removed and the short was found. The cable was replaced and the servicemen wanted to replace the pump also. That was refused. The pump, pvc pipe and 12/3 cable were re-inserted into the well and the unit was tested and found working. No further problems. They also caused a bit more damage to my yard than was necessary. They had to back and forth a number of times before getting properly lined up to pull the pump. They had been here before with supervision and the previous two trucks did less damage than their one truck.

Kand K was prompt, courteous and professional. Tried very hard to complete job of disinfecting but fell short. Price estimate for new well was very competitive.

I needed to seal my old well. I called and left a message on Sunday. They returned my call promptly first thing on Monday and today is Thursday, the well is sealed and taken care of. They were the nicest, most polite crew I've dealt with in a while. They really treated me with courtesy and respect.

Prompt and professional once we got the right phone #. Though they are in Yorkville which is a 630 area code, the number in our phone book lists a # without area code which is not 630, it is 815.

We called KK Well Drilling due to odor problems in the water. The service representative clearly defined the potential issues. The pressure tank definitely needed to be replaced and was replaced. Jim of KK then updated me on issues the may need future maintenance so that these can be addressed going forward.

After trying many times over several weeks to get the company that originally drilled our well in to fix the casing, I called K K. Very nice and prompt, and the work was completed within the week. I will use them in the future for any well related issues.
