The experience was extremely limited. They did some damage in the exterior because of poor material. They took around twice as much time as they had promised and they were not able to finish the project. It was very costly, because we had to redo all the work.
Description of Work: Dreamworks did exterior painting for us.

Painters (sub-contracted) by Dreamworks were very nice and hardworking, overall did an ok job. You obviously get what you pay for... As Dreamworks was one of the cheapest in quotes, the work and customer service almost reflects the price. The "crew" that Dreamworks hired to do our project, which consisted of removal of wallpaper and painting of interior of the entire home did fast work, all was done within just under a week, as they basically painted the home before we moved in, working nearly 10 hour days. Performed Quick work to complete the job, they were a bit compromising on the attention to detail. I can't knock the sub-contracted workers for their work, as it was a huge project for a small crew consisting of a hardworking father and his younger sons. They obviously did the best they could do. I would definitely hire the subs directly again if I could, for smaller work. My issue was the fact that Dreamworks advised the crew to leave the taken down wallpaper, supplies, and any additional garbage at our home in the middle of the dining room! Nails, screws, and other hazardous debris was left behind as we were trying to move in. I'm just lucky one of my 16month old triplets didn't swallow any of the hardware, wallpaper stripping chemicals, or even toxic glue!! So, we basically contact the company to state our disapproval and they state that it makes more sense for us to dispose as homeowners... Instead of up-charging us to get a dumpster to dispose properly. Wait.. What? When did I agree to this or where was this stated on the contract? Yes, it may have been my fault to overlook the disposal of ALL materials and to keep the home CLEAN, but this should have been brought up by Dreamworks and communicated the methods of disposal upfront or even during the work, so that we wouldn't end up trying to move into a home that was dirty and that had a huge pile of junk left on a tarp in the middle of my living room. During a few days (a weekend) after completion of work, we had a string of phone tag and unanswered emails to my issue. I held payment in hopes to have some substantial reimbursement for hauling all the garbage and disposal out of my new home. I'd figure to give Dreamworks the benefit of the doubt, in hopes to have a healthy conversation regarding the issue. The owner of Dreamworks did offer a $25 credit to handle disposal myself, but I declined. It's almost laughable to hear the owner of Dreamworks try to justify why they left garbage behind stating it was more cost effective for a consumer to dispose of on their own. It honestly wasnt even the lack of reimbursement that upset me as a paying customer, but the way the conversation was handled or could've been. Way too much finger pointing doesn't go well for any conversation between two adults. Owner even harassed me and wouldn't let me get off the phone as we both argued about the situation. i eventually asked, "what is the point of this conversation if we weren't going to agree and that I didnt want the credit". I eventually came to the point where i said, "thank you for your work, I will send final payment no later than this evening, and that unfortunately I would not be using their services in the future, nor be able to recommend their work to anyone, based on our disagreement, which I can't see being resolved." This forced me to say "goodbye" and hang up to avoid more harassment. The owner kept hammering away, stating why I was wrong and that he still wanted to work with us. He also had the nerve to blame me to state that I said that it was okay to leave the garbage behind (what person in the right mind would agree to that, especially with young children around?) I think this is why they didn't email back initially when bringing up the issue, even if most of our conversations regarding the work was handled via email, as I stated that I like to handle most conversations this way for a paper trail for my review. You can say that the above conversation never happened, because I don't have proof, but at least I do have potential customers attention to address this issue before it happens to them. If anyone does want images of the garbage and debris left behind, or want to speak directly to me for more details, ill be glad to take the the time to do so. Long story short: 1) I liked the presentation of the company, very cute and presentable on initial consult. 2) the subs were very hardworking and polite, however, very dirty and needed cleaning after they job was done. 3) I was going to use their services for exterior painting of our home an deck staining, but after this fiasco, I'd rather pay more for a better experience. 4) Initially the owner was very kind, but when any issue was brought up, the matter in which it was handled was not professional and very demeaning to a paying consumer. 5) You obviously get what you pay for. PS- company is actually the same company named, "BNB" or "Babes N Brushes"
