We have done the sketch and have a final plan and the work will be done by October 15, 2012.

He was wonderful. I really like dealing with him. He came in immediately and gave us an estimate. The estimate was very fair and he is pleasant to work with. We will definitely hire them.

I worked with Jacob who was prompt, professional, and very friendly. He would always return my phone calls even on Saturday. He is very responsive. He made several trips to my house, which was thirty miles away. He made several trips out here to discuss how the patio would be laid out. I used his services for a big deal for a sketch of a patio. They stayed to details even when things came out that were outside of the plan, they made things work. We plan on using them again next year for an upcoming project.

They were quick to respond. The price and their work were good.

They've been exceptionally good. When we called them, they had someone out the next day. We have a contract with them to continue their service. They are just very dependable. They are worth the money.

He was wonderful. He was very honest and straightforward. He worked with me on the prices and some designs and everything. I was very pleased. He was very attentive and he came out immediately when I called. He kept in contact with me either by phone or email until the job was done. He was great. I will definitely use his services again in the future.

Workers showed up within 30 minutes of anticipated and were briefed by Tom on our discussions. They proceeded to carry out the instructions very efficiently. Storms threatened and they pushed through until completion without leaving any mess.

They quoted me too much. They came out and I didn’t have any complaints about them. They were pretty helpful, courteous and relatively quick in getting back with the quote. However, their price was a little too high. They came the next day I called them. They were here on time as well. I would probably contact them again.

Very responsive. The same day I called to get an estimate, an estimate was provided. They asked if I needed to be home when they came to check out the property to put together an estimate. I wanted to be home so that I could show them everything that I wanted to have done for clean up. The appointment was scheduled for the same day (2-3 hours later). When it came time for the service (scheduled for 1 week after the estimate), the crew arrived promptly in the morning. The gentleman that provided the estimate also arrived and walked the crew around the yard explaining everything that we had discussed. He left and the crew got started. He came back later in the day to check on the progress. The following day he stopped by to check on progress and ask how I liked the work. The job lasted 2 full days. They were very thorough. This was by far the best company we have used for spring clean up. Once they were done, they made sure all of the walkways and the driveway was cleaned up of any residual mulch/clippings. The weeding of all of the beds was very thorough before the mulch was put down. I would highly recommend NLD for spring clean up.

I've NEVER done an online review so bear with me...I had struggled with balancing spring/summer/fall activities with the demands of large garden spaces for 3 years. In the winter of 2008/2009 I had called 5 landscaping companies within a 20 mi radius and Nierman Landscaping were the only ones who called me back. WHAT LUCK!!! Jake came out to look at the property and discuss my objective of low-maintenance gardening. Jake was nice, professional, well-groomed and at no time did I get the icky-bad sleazy salesman vibe - which is extremely important to a woman living alone and dealing with contractors, salesmen, etc.in her home. Jake had a lot of suggestions and ideas, but at no point did I feel overwhelmed. The entire process took less than a month. The project was on time, on budget and ONE DAY TO INSTALL!!! I was so mad at myself for not doing it sooner. So, I hired them to also do weekly lawn mowing. I have been using Nierman Landscaping for lawn mowing services for 3 years. With Nierman Landscaping I have never - not once - had a problem. Anytime I've called Nierman Landscaping's staff, whether I spoke to the owner, reception, landscaping designers, or maintenance staff, it has always been a positive, professional, courteous experience. I wish I could say this for all my service providers. If I ask John White, Nierman Landscaping's Maintenance Manager, to do something - I know it's as good as done. I've asked for additional services/pricing. No problem. I have had weekly lawn mowing service providers other than Nierman Landscaping. They were even a little cheaper. However, their work was atrocious - politely put. There were lawn clippings all over my flower beds. Not just a few blades of grass here or there, but massive clumps that dried into mini hay bales because even after many phone calls - they didn't even make an attempt to clean it up, but just continued to add to the mess. There was grass everywhere. Grass on the house, on the roof, even IN the garage. With the garage door closed, how much effort did they have to put into that? Finally they started to bag and instead they left behind crop circles! Those are large diameter circles left behind from the mower blades not being raised & still cutting while bagging the grass. *sigh* I am a patient person and not the neighborhood lawn guru by any means. I made countless phone calls - rarely speaking to a live person - always leaving messages to have the crew raise the blades, bag the grass, not to edge the borders down to the dirt, billing problems. I actually had to take off work to tell the crew what to do and then finally to NOT come back...because the company hadn't told the crew!! I never even imagined you could have so many issues for lawn mowing services. You won't have these issues with Nierman Landscaping.

It began late in June when I contacted NLD. They started work on just mowing and clean up in my yard. The attention to detail was above any other experience I have had with other types of contractors. They came out a built a retaining wall so I could pour an extension to my driveway in early September and they followed up with reworking my current front yard. Everything was done professionally from the estimate to the final work. All the workers were nice and did a fine job. Belinda, the designer and estimator, stayed with me on all my projects.
