He had to remove the tar that had been applied, lots of it, over the years. He got most of it off. Then he put up metal flashing.This was in February, not the most hospitable month to be doing roofing work. We haven't had a leak since.

I liked that they were professional and I liked their professional appearance. They did the work on budget and they explained what they were going to do. The only downside I had with them was that, they have a series to pay with the credit card. It’s not a terrible inconvenience but it’s worth knowing. We will use their services again in the future.

I couldn't be more pleased. Kevin, our salesman, was on time, knowledgeable and professional. He made some suggestions that improved our job and saved us money. The Hills Roofing crew followed through in an equally satisfactory manner. They did just what Kevin promised. The crew was extemely friendly and hard working. No wasted time. Very professional results and fast. I highly recommend this company. They were not the lowest bid, but based on what I read on Angie's List I went with them anyway and am very glad I did. It's refereshing to deal with a company that does exactly what they say they are going to do.

I told Kevin when he first came by what I wanted done. He tried everything to try to scare me into this very expensive proposal.

We had a minor leak in our roof that would appear during particularly violent rainstorms. Fortunately the leak was causing some damage to the ceiling of a closet rather than some more visible area. Unfortunately it was in my wife's closet so it was important to really fix it. I called Hills. After confirming it was not really an emergency we set up an appointment. The person who came was exactly on time, had the correct flashing and shingles to complete the job and was done in 1 hour. I'm very happy with the experience.

After all of the severe storms we experienced this summer, my garage roof suffered a lot of damage and there was subsequent leaking. I called several numbers from Angie's List and had three contractor's come out to give me quotes. Tom from Hills Roofing, Inc. was the first to return my call and was very quick to come out and give me a quote. I did get two more quotes and although Hills Roofing was in the middle, I liked what I read about them from Angie's List and the fact that they have been around since 1985. They completed the job in one afternoon. I was extremely pleased with the quality of the work and the professionalism of Tom and the entire crew. They did an outstanding job with the roof and the cleanup. I think what stands out the most about Hills Roofing is the level of customer service from everyone involved. From the first phone call to the completion of the job, I can honestly say that I felt they all really cared about me as a customer. I know that I will call on them again in the future when I need other work done.

A recent storm tore off some shingles from my upper roof. I checked Angie's List to find companies with a grade of "B" or higher. I called three companies at 9:00 am this morning; this company was the only one that answered my call - one had a message service and the other the phone rang and rang and rang. I reached Tom at Hills Roofing and told him that I was interested in getting an estimate for repair to my roof. He mentioned that he had a representative in the area working on another job and he would see if he could get him to come out later this afternoon, otherwise he would call me back and let me know when he could send someone. Their rep, Kevin, arrived at 3pm, looked at the damage, told us that he had the tools and shingles with him and could do the repair right away. He provided an estimate and we agreed to have the work done immediately. I was comfortable with the estimate and confident in the workmanship because I had already reviewed this company on Angie's list.

They were very prompt and professional. They did what they said they were going to do, and they did it in a timely fashion. I rate them high overall and will use them again in the future.

They came out quickly, and the gentleman who did the work was very pleasant. I have no complaints whatsoever.

The two skylights to be replaced were supposed to open with remote control. His installation did not allow that to happen. He put a young guy on the job and went hunting for a week. Once he realized the installation was faulty after repeated calls from me, he pulled his guys off the job and tried to persuade me that it was OK for them not to open and that he had fulfilled his part of the contract. I refused to pay the final billing until the performed per our agreement, he threatened me with a property lien and I said I would see him in court. He then settled and I found another firm to complete the job.

We had a couple of different roofing companies come out and try and figure out what was leaking. Hills came out and solved the leak, there was a leak around the chimney and around the sky light. We've used them several times since then and recommended them to several people, it's always been a positive experience.

Kevin from Hills Roofing did a very thorough inspection of the roof and attic. Due to the complexity of the job (most of the ceiling beneath the roof is vaulted) Kevin conferred with Tom Hills, the owner, for a solution. Kevin returned with the solution in about ten days. The suggested corrections were written down and Kevin explained each one to my satisfaction. Work started about a week later and was completed in about 2 1/2 days. I think that Hills Roofing did a great job. Kevin is a pleasure to work with. The crews that worked on the job were polite and knowledgeable. They did a good job of cleaning up after themselves at the end of each day. I feel that the ventilation issue that lead to the rotting plywood and rafters has been corrected.

I am very pleased with the service. was quoted very quickly and upon wanting to move ahead, they told me they could be out very quickly. I didn't even have to be home. I checked over their work and everything looked well done. they matched the colors well as well.

It was very good. We have used them in the past for other assorted roofing projects. They seem to be very honest. They come and tell you what it is that needs to be done and what it will cost. They do what they say they will do. They are good at explaining what the various things are. There is more to the materials that go on the roof than most people know about. We have had other roofing companies come out and they were not interested in using the more advanced roofing technologies but Hills Roofing was.

Very good: we went though a bidding process and they offered the best job for the price. They communicated well and did a thorough, clean job. A number of wooden underlayments needed to be replaced and new roof vents installed. During the job, they asked if we wanted to put leaf shields on our existing gutters. We decided to go ahead with them and have not had our gutters cleaned since. We were very pleased with their work and do not hesitate to recommend them.

They are high quality and do the work they say they are going to do. You may get a lower bid but Hills is who you want to do the roof and any roof work.

They were very prompt and their price was very competitive. The other company that came out was very expensive so we didn't use them.

I trusted Hills to identify the correct color of my shingles as it was a repair. The used the wrong color shingles and refuse to correct their mistake. They want me to pay them to fix their mistake. They also did not have the correct color of my gutters to make the repairs. They had to order the parts. The old vent stack was not in the poor shape that they lead me to believe. Now i have to pay another roofer to fix it .Overall it was a terrible experience. Hills Roofing made no attempt to resolve the situation. They wanted to charge me to fix their mistake. No person would consider this as an attempt to resolve the problem as they claim.

Very smooth. Tom was very helpful in explaning the whole process to us and the products used. The estimate was well written out and broken out piece by piece. We hired them based on comfort with Tom, but felt as though they were a bit pricey, but that didn't change our mind. We are pleased with our roof and hope to enjoy it for years to come.

Kevin was easy to work with and very personable. He assessed the ventilation in my attic and gave recommendations about a non-functioning attic ventilation fan.

Provided a very detailed estimate. The estimated that they would be able start job in two weeks and they met that start date. Completed the job on time. Was very clean and precise.

VERY DEPENDABLE, CAME ON TIME. THEY WERE NEAT, CLEANED UP THEIR MESS, AND THERE WAS NO HIDDEN COST.
