This company was great! Trevor came and did an onsite estimate (which was well worth it considering other companies I called want you to do all the work online). We needed to be moved out within ten days of the evaluation but couldn't move into our house in Atlanta for a month and we needed storage as well. No problem and got on the schedule! We did some of our own packing to help reduce the amount of packing we were going to have them do. Even got a tour of their secure storage when I picked up some boxes. A nice, clean, and well organized shop with a good crew of guys. Two days before the truck came, two packers came in and did a heck of a job. Boxed and labeled everything in about four hours. Well worth the expense. Come moving day, Lorenzo and his crew arrived on time, laid out floor protection and started loading the truck. They did a great job getting everything out and packed in the truck just in time for the buyers walk through. Once I was able to confirm our move in day, they were able to deliver within our agreed upon window. When the truck arrived, Lorenzo and his crew got right to work and had everything in an furniture assembled in about six hours. This company made our long distance move so much easier and less stressful I'd use them again in a heartbeat! Oh, ask for Lorenzo. Great guy to have taking care of your stuff! Thanks guys!

They spent 2 days helping me pack. They were very accommodating to move me without another person on the truck, so there were no additional stops during the move. Justin and his crew were excellent. I would highly recommend them!

Everything went smooth. One of the best moves I've ever done, and we have moved 15 times, with many state-to-state moves. Driver was on time and loaded the truck expertly. Not one item was damaged upon inspection at delivery. Driver delivered within the allotted delivery window and called me the day before to let me know what time he'd be there. And he was on time once again. This happened to be a particularly hard delivery due to a sloping driveway and 3 floors of stairs. He did an outstanding job! I would definitely recommend this company for any move state-to-state or local!

The move went very well. I was in an emotional daze but thankfully the moving crew was on the ball. With the help of my family, everything was taken care of on both ends of the move. I was impressed with their punctuality and professionalism. They protected my furniture and treated all my belongings with care. The moving team protected my brand new hardwood floor in my new house by covering it with cardboard. I was grateful for their attention to details, even putting my mattress in the position that I wanted it. All boxes were placed in the rooms as the boxes were labeled. I was able to find any box I needed. Overall, I was very impressed with this company,. I don't would use them again, and would recommend them to anyone.

The move could not have gone better. We were provided with excellent guidance as this was our first move. The movers showed up at our home as scheduled and quickly went to work. The truck was loaded in one day and delivered as scheduled the first thing 2 days later. The unloading took half a day to accomplish. There was no damage to either homes or our furniture. The crew was polite and very accommodating. Thank you!

Mike Boerman was very responsive and professional. He was able to come out to my house on short notice and it did not take him long to go through the whole house and generate a detailed and competitive proposal for my move. He was even able to print and leave the proposal with me on the spot! Before our appointment I had some questions about moving a waverunner and he promptly returned my phone call and helped me out. Some of his competition took days to answer my request for help.

I got three estimates and they varied a lot. Boerman was in the middle. I really liked the guy who came out and gave me the estimate. He (Trevor) explained everything, provided suggestions and tips, (and also didn't bark at me because my apartment was hard to find, as did one of the other estimators.) Really liked the guys who came out and loaded up the truck. They were kind, considerate and easy-going, but also very professional. I had to leave to go to a Dr. appointment, leaving my daughter in charge to get the stuff out of the storage unit, and there was no problem with that. Delivery on the other end was also fine. The only thing that wasn't ideal is the uncertainty over the delivery date, which was common to all three estimates that I received. (All three movers gave me a span of about a week in which they might deliver). In the end, Boerman picked up on Wednesday and delivered on Monday, which was within the range they gave me. I ended up staying in a hotel in the interim -- I would have paid extra to the movers if I could have gotten a specific delivery day. I know that for interstate moves they try to "bundle" loads, but I don't think they had any other loads going to the U.P. of Michigan.) This might be a nice feature for some mover to offer, but none of the three movers I got estimates from could give me a specific date. I would use Boerman again.

We can't say enough good things about this company! From our estimate experience with Mike right down to our move days and the moving staff. Mike came out prior to our moving date and gave us an estimate based on what we had in the house. And, although it was a two part move, ended up very accurate. We had an initial move day prior to the sale of our house so not everything went at once. Everyone was professional, courteous, arriving on time and got straight to work. They took great care of our belongings and delivered them to the proper rooms using care on our wood floors and light colored walls. Move number 2 came a little sooner than expected and was a smaller crew but just as professional and courteous as the first. I've already recommended Boerman to friends and family and will continue to do so. Moving is a very stressful time in general and having movers who do the job so smoothly made it a much easier experience. Thanks to the entire Boerman staff !!!!!

Overall the experience was ok. There responsive for quoting the job and getting the people lined up to perform the move was excellent. When the came to assist with packing they did a tolerable job of labeling the boxes (not all were labeled) and how some things were packed could have been substantially improved. On moving day, they broke some ceramic containers and did not tell me, broke a picture frame glass due to not packing it the way I was told they would be and had some furniture dinged up during the move. They also did not place all the boxes where I told them to when they were unpacking the trucks. I also believe they underquoted the price of the job originally. I did quite a bit of the work myself (packing, moving items in-between the two houses) and I was expecting to have spent less then what it actually cost.

A Boerman estimator came to our home and very thoroughly went over with us the details of what we were moving and our concerns. He estimated the size of the crew, hours required and the estimated cost including the amount of insurance coverage that we wanted. Later, after we selected them, a moving date was chosen with the right to cancel up to 24 hours before. The estimator was very professional and personable. On moving day, a crew of 5 men moved us 11 miles from our previous home into our new home. They were punctual and very professional, taking care not to damage our belongings. The movers worked well as a team and they worked very hard so that the move proceeded very quickly. The crew had a good attitude and was pleasant to work with. The cost of the move was very close to estimate and actually a little lower. I would highly recommend Boerman Movers again.

The crew worked very well together. The crew worked very quickly and were careful with our belongings. They were punctual and polite. We did not have to worry about our children learning "new words." I would recommend Boerman Moving to anyone. They did a fantastic job and even finished in an hour less than quoted, much to the credit of the hard working team.

The first phase of our move was almost, and I never thought this possible, enjoyable. Woody, the truck driver, arrived on time, explained the entire process that would take place and walked us through the process until Woody closed the doors and said he would see us in a few days. During the transition (moving) he called us along the way to give us a timeframe as to when he would be arriving at our home in Arizona -- he ended up being EARLY! Woody also had a very capable associate who helped pack and load the truck prior to Woody heading out for his next stop. The items we shipped in the first phase we all placed where we had asked and they even moved a heavy treadmill to the location we wanted. We expect and know that the second phase, coming up at the end of June, will be executed in the same professional fashion as the first phase. We would like to get Woody back as the driver, and his associate for the second phase. If you are considering a move, do yourself a favor and call these guys - we are recommending them for the highest award that Angie's List can bestow - you wont go wrong!

Quite good except for damage to Dining Table

Service was punctual. The movers were polite and professional. I would have appreciated more drop cloths as there was more dirt/debris as they moved things into the new house. A crew of three people managed to complete the move within approximately 6 hours. There was no damage to any material. There was some confusion about the location of the boxes, that needed to be moved. However, that was an issue with labels more than anything.

The guys were on time and did an outstanding job. Super prompt and efficient. They never stopped to take a break. Plus, they met me the next morning, 300 miles away, and moved my stuff in super efficient and quickly. I would definitely hire these guys again.

Boerman Moving sent a team of three movers, all were friendly and professional. They did a good job protecting my stuff for the move, disassembling beds, etc. There was a snowstorm on my moving day, and the truck that they sent was larger than was needed - it could not get close to my townhouse. The movers had to hand-truck everything from the street, in the snow. Eventually additional guys from another crew were able to come and help finish moving me in. My price ended up being higher than the estimate because of the oversized truck and the bad weather. I followed up with a supervisor the next week, and he was extremely reasonable, refunding part of the excess charge. I would absolutely use them again. Despite the challenges, not a single thing was damaged during the move. The workers were very good, and management was very customer focused and responsive.

Great crew - they worked hard and got done in a timely fashion. They came in under the estimated price.

The movers were excellent. They were very careful wrapping all of our furniture and we had NO damage when we got everything unpacked at our new home. We had a 6 man crew with a semi trailer and it was less expensive per hour then most reputable competitors. More importantly the crew worked hard and came in 2 hours UNDER the estimated time. I was glad we choose Boerman and would recommend them to friends and family.

Moved from our sold home in IL to our summer home in MI. Overall the move went smoothly with exception of one communication glitch concerning the manpower required to move a hot tub spa. Mike Boerman (owners son) personally came to the house and indicated he would do anything we wanted to do to move the spa or pay for an electrician to reconnect the power. After much discussion with Mike, we agreed the hassle involved in moving the spa was not worth the effort. Mike's personal involvement at every phase made a big difference in reducing the stress level normally associated with a move. I would like to give special recognition to our Boerman driver, Justin, who went out of his way to accommodate our requests. His team was always professional and courteous and always took the time to make sure our furniture and boxes were moved with the utmost of care. My wife and I chose Bekins based upon its decades old iconic reputation of being a superior mover. The pre-move information packet was quite helpful to us in establishing an Outline and timeline for the cross-country move. Tony Gardner, the driver for Boerman Moving and Storage kept a good line of communication with us during the entire moving process. He was on schedule at both the origin and destination. The driver and three helpers packed the van and departed without incident on a Friday. All of them were helpful and courteous. The driver arrived at the destination on Sunday, an hour later than scheduled. His three helpers showed up 3 hours later. My family members had to help the driver unload the truck while we waited for the helpers. The helpers were helpful and courteous on the job. However, they were careless in setting up furniture; assembling the king size bed and the grand piano. Dave Kraker advised me to observe all items being removed from the van to identify any possible damages. That task was impossible to fulfill while we were working to unload the van prior to the helper’s arrival. While we signed all the paperwork, I noticed in the fine print that Bekins had been merged with Wheaton Van Lines. In fact, Wheaton would be the company name listed on my Visa statement. It became painfully evident to me that I was paying for the Bekins reputation, but getting Wheaton service. I will not use Bekins/Wheaton again, and will suggest to friends and family that they avoid that company. Overall, we were dissatisfied with our Bekins/Wheaton

I am pleased with the storage aspect. My things were in good shape after a very long time being stored; the storage facility was very clean and well kept. I think that this is a great place to keep things for any length of time. I felt like there was a general lack of professionalism in dealing with people there. I called about firming up the move date and then I had to call back a few times. There is a nice dent in the wall from the movers and I felt like they were not as professional as they could have been. It wasn't awful, but I wasn't very impressed. Then the movers neglected to charge me for the mileage and the partial month of storage so I got a call a few days after the move saying that I still owed another $120.00. A company representative called me and was concerned about my review. He wanted specific information about my experience and how they could make things betters. I appreciated that he called to follow up with me.

They were right on time, their packers were efficeint and careful, and the company did a great job. They were also the most affordable option.

This was the truck lines used by my movers. My favorite part was that the driver stayed with my belongings from start to finish.

Boerman Moving offered a very competitive price. I shopped around quite a bit and was surprised when Boerman's price (for a national carrier - Bekins) turned out to be among the best. Mike Boerman (sales) and Selene Barco (move coordinator) did a spectacular job of being helpful and answering all my questions (and I had many since this was my first long distance move). They were always available via phone or email. The moving crew was professional and courteous. They showed up on time, did a good job of carefully packing everything, and delivered as promised.
