Rangel and Arcwood are the very best! My wife and I are so grateful we chose Rangel/Arcwood for our latest house project. We had an old brick fireplace (brick ran up the entire wall). There was empty space on both sides of the fireplace and an old mantel. We had 3 different companies over for the initial visit. Rangel came in and discussed different options during his initial consultation and took initial measurements to better assist with the design. During his 2nd visit, he presented the design and finalized measurements. The design and his professionalism are why we chose him. The design was extremely creative and functional. We wanted base cabinets on each side of the fireplace, with bookshelves on top, then "hide" alot of the room-engulfing brick with a custom mantel. During install, it couldn't have gone any smoother. Watching the cabinets as they were getting installed was extremely exciting, as it looked even better than the design. And he and his staff were very clean working, and also respectful of the fact we have 3 small children in the house. He even installed the TV mount I had purchased at Costco and helped me with all the wiring - coax, hdmi, & ethernet cat 6. Other companies had "a referral" they could give me, which meant I would've had to deal with another person. The kitchen remodel is next, and we will definitely use Rangel & Arcwood for our next projects!

I have no complaints, only praises for my experience with Arcwood Inc. Rangel came over first to discuss what was needed & options, and take measurements. After calling with an estimate, he returned to verify measurements and took a sample drawer face ensure the stain matched. He completed and installed the cabinetry within the discussed time frame. Rangel was very kind, professional, practical, thorough and detail oriented. He was willing to negotiate on the cost also, which was extremely helpful. And the craftsmanship is beautiful! My family and I definitely plan to use this company, and will refer others, in the future.

We used Rangel from Arcwood for a second time. The first experience was several years ago. At that time he built a bookshelf for us based on what we said we wanted without much exact detail other than to fit into one particular area of the house, He got it perfect. The shelving unit appears to be built in and is beautiful. Last week Rangel delivered a table that we requested to be built. We wanted this table to match an existing table. Again, he got it perfect. It looks exactly like our existing table to the exact dimensions we requested. We were amazed and grateful and he delivered it ahead of the agreed upon due date. Whether you know exactly what you want or just have an idea, we recommend Arcwood for any of your wood working needs. You will be impressed with his workmanship.

I dropped by Arcwood (close to my house) with a few pictures of elements I wanted to incorporate into a custom vanity for the bathroom (wanted the piece to look like furniture with ornate legs and onlays). Within a few moments Rangel sketched exactly what I wanted. The cabinet turned out beautifully. His workmanship is outstanding...truly a master carpenter..... like the old world craftsmen. The island makeover was much the same....he looked at all of the elements in my kitchen and provided me with a design reflecting them. During the process, he was responsive to emails and calls and was able to keep to the schedule and installation dates I needed on both pieces. We are extremely pleased both with the end results and the process, would definitely hire him again, and, highly recommend that you hire him also. P.S. I rarely recommend people who do work for us.

He was very creative, patient and prompt when asked for service. Cabinets delivered were in excellent condition and installation was smooth. We constantly received rave reviews for our kitchen and wanted to share this with everyone.

This was an outstanding experience. He always did what he said he would do on time, returned calls and messages promptly. He provided us with full drawings, plans and pricing before we had selected him, which other providers would not do--so we actually had enough information to know whether we wanted to select him. He said he would have them installed before Thanksgiving, and with no nagging, checking in or following up, that's exactly what he did. The price was exactly as he said, and we found it very competitive compared to others' estimates. He created a unique finish for the wood we selected that turned out beautifully, and fit in very well with other finishes in the apartment. One of the best experiences I have had with someone in the remodeling/building trade, ever.

Overall, we had massive problems with the general contractor, but Rangel's work was excellent. If you are contemplating using Rangel's service in conjunction with Interior Builders, keep Rangel, but run from Mark Todor.

The project went wonderfully. We were very impressed with both the process and the outcome. Rangel is a master carpenter, as well as a very professional and nice person. The end product was amazing. He matched it so well that you wouldn't be able to tell that it was a new railing. We hope to redo our kitchen at some point in the future, and will certainly be going to Rangel for a quote.

Rangel was amazing. He really listened to what we wanted and created a design that both my husband and I could agree on. And, he installed earlier than expected. In looking for the right person, we spoke with two others to get bids on the work, but Rangel was the only one who was both responsive and able to put a design together along with pricing in a timely manner. He was always reachable; returned calls quickly. And, most of all, was able to install when he said he would. He also noticed a flaw in the design of the fireplace surround and incorporated a new fireplace surround that was a better match to the architectural style of the house. He was not the least expensive, but the quality of work is definitely worth it. And, the price also included all the electrical/wiring which was handled by an electrician that contracts with Rangel. We did have to hire a painter for touchups/patching, but that was just a minimal cost to complete the project. It looks fantastic and we now have so much more storage. Thanks Rangel!

From start to finish, everything was great. Rangel was very responsive from the initial phone call through the end of the project. From the first meeting, we were confident that he was very thoughtful about his work and cared enough to not overlook any details or take shortcuts. In that first meeting, we gave Rangel a general idea of what we were looking for in terms of look and function, and he made great suggestions based on his knowledge and experience with other projects. At the end of that brief meeting we knew we would not be disappointed with his work. A few days later Rangel met with us again to discuss an initial drawing and plan for the bookcases. We met with another custom woodmaker and didn't get the same feeling of care and detail that we got from Rangel. We asked Rangel to do the work for us and he gave us an estimated completion date which turned out to be very accurate. Also, the quoted price was the final price. During the time the bookcases were being built, I had some questions about the cabinet's final measurements and Rangel responded to my e-mails promptly. On another occasion I had electricians arriving the next day to move cable and electrical outlets for the TV space in the cabinet and I e-mailed Rangel that evening to confirm the measurements for where they should be installed. Rangel responded that night with the information I needed. We are EXTREMELY happy with the whole experience and will be asking Rangel to do additional work for us in our kitchen and office room. The bookcases are incredibly solid and have the look of beautiful craftsmanship throughout. His attention to detail about the look of the bookcases, mantle, and crown molding and his concern for providing us what we were looking for truly made the difference between an ordinary bookcase and something we are very excited about having in our home.

Things went well. Rangle was flexible in working around my odd schedule; I needed the work (about a 6 day job) done in one day per week increments. He asked that I buy the stair rail brackets on my own to ensure that I got the ones that I liked and thought were priced right, which I was fine with, since I wanted to find victorian style brackets. He spent the first day just doing measurements, so that he could do much of the work back in his shop. On the second day, he installed the first few stairs - when I noticed that a few were not quite level, he ripped them out and fixed the issue right away. FIrst he did the top few stairs, then the bottom few, then the curved stair section, followed by the wainscotting and last the railings. Along the way, Rangle occasionally added wonderful decorative touches to the job, like the curved transition cut joining the wood edge of the wainscotting on wall to the one on the next. I think that his furniture making background helps him have an eye for these nice additions. When I specified old fashioned finials for the railing ends, he was able to make some in his shop. Rangle did a good job of verifying materials choices with me ahead of time, explaining the cost trade-off for each choice. When I decided to add something to the job (decorative moldings under each tread where it meets the riser), his quote for the additional work was reasonable and fair.

The cabinets are beautiful. Rangel provided a detailed drawing before work began so we understood what the final product would look like. He was on time with he final product and overcame installation issues.

Rangel responded quickly to a call to come to our home to talk to us about designing some frames and mirrors for our newly renovated master bath. He made initial drawings which we then asked to be modified. He came up with exactly what we were looking for and gave us a quote. We placed the order and the work was completed quickly. The installation took only a couple hours. They are beautiful. Rangel was very professional and his work is superb! We are very pleased.

He is fantastic, I use him all the time! I thought the price was really reasonable. He just did a fantastic job. It looks like it came from a factory but it was all hand done.

We don?t normally give recommendations, however Rangel not only met, he exceeded our expectations. It started by Rangel being on time each time we meet. He built a bookcase for us exactly as we described. He takes pride in his workmanship and that shows in his final product. We do recommend Rangel and intend to utilize his services again.

The work went very well. I had tried unsuccessfully to cut the molding before I gave up and called Rangel. The wall and floor in the area of the fireplace and bookcases were both uneven and this made it more difficult to get the cuts right on the molding but Rangel was able to do it. Rangel built a beautiful custom floating console table for me and matched the stain for it from one of my mirrors. He built the table in his workshop prior and was able to get everything installed for me in about 5 hours, start to finish. Rangel is very professional and punctual. He is efficient. I am very happy with the quality of work.

Rangel responded promptly, came out and gave an estimate. Told me what his upcoming schedule was, and stayed exactly within the schedule. He built two built-in bookcases. They had to match the ones we already had in the house in color, trim and design. He listened to what I wanted and created absolutely beautiful bookcases that look like they were original to the house.

If you want quality wood work done at a very fair price you cannot find someone more qualified. Rangel has an incredible work ethic and superior craftsmanship. Although he specializes in cabinet making, Rangel installed wood floors in our whole house and also did wood trim all around the house. Our floor plan is extremely complicated and Rangel's knowledge and experience showed once the installation was done. The wastage was hardly 2 boxes of wood which is incredible savings right there. He even moved some of the furniture and did not charge extra for it. I would highly recommend Arcwood for any of your wood working needs.
