Spartan fence co

Please note that this review is based upon my experience obtaining a quote from Spartan Fence. In short, the one benefit I received from my experience with Spartan and their field sales representative was that it educated me. It educated me in the fact that I have learned that not all fence companies are created equal. As a sales professional myself, I am very disappointed in the service I received and think others should be aware. The sales rep that came to my house, started the appointment off by being 10 minutes late. He lacked regular communication skills and by no means conveyed the impression that he wanted my business. After I explained what I was looking for in a fence (5ft-6ft shadowbox western red cedar) and also the time frame I was looking to move forward (within the next 3 weeks) he began to measure my fence. Instead of measuring in straight lines, he walked his measuring tape around my evergreen tree adding footage to the overall measurement. He not once provided any suggestions on what might look nice, which I expected to receive from someone who is in the industry. He concluded the appointment by asking for my email and stated that he will email me the quote in a week. From Hello to Nice to meet you was a total of 15mins. I received the quote late last night via email. The email had no text whatsoever (greeting, explanation of the quote, next steps) and included an attachment of his handwritten quote. The price was over $2k higher than any of the four other companies I requested a quote from. I truly hope that this was an isolated incident with an individual employee that does not reflect this business as a whole. Unfortunately though, because of my experience with this individual, I wrote my check this morning to a different company that was far and away more pleasant to deal with.
