Enormous waste of time and effort.
Description of Work: We called four days ago and schedule a simple appliance repair. We were given a four hour window of time. After 3 and a half hours we called to ask if everything was ok. They had written down the address incorrectly and, although they had our phone numbers, they didn't make any efforts to contact us. No missed calls, no voice messages. They also had our emails, but no messages. They lied and said they called four times. Either not detail oriented, or liars. Either way, wouldn't rely on them. We will not call them again.

I am sorry you felt that we are a waste of time and that you felt that you could not reach out to us directly to address your concerns. To clarify, we did attempt to call you three times prior to the arrival of the technician. We were provided one (1) phone number to reach you. We did not get an answer. We are happy to provide the call logs and recordings to clear up any misunderstanding or inaccuracies. Without any answers on the phone, the technician arrived at the address we had in our system but no one answered the door and we weren't able to reach anyone on the phone to verify the address, so the technician had to move on to other customers. We do not email to confirm customers are at home or that the technician is en route based on customer feedback (limit the number of emails they receive from us, they don't check email that often, gets filtered, etc.). However, we do send email confirmations of the appointment that include a photo of the technician for security/safety of our customers. When we received a callback, we spoke to a gentleman about the situation and we offered to come back later that same day or another day after he provided us the correct address. He asked for Monday and we said we would make that work to accommodate. When he went to speak to someone else in the home to confirm, we heard elevated voices in the background and he said he would call us back. We never heard back but instead, we received this online review. At this point, we assumed you did not want us to call back to reschedule but instead respond in this forum. We are a small family business and are made up of people who do make mistakes from time to time but are happy to make accommodations in one form or another when we do make them. Please let us know If you would like us to provide you with the call logs or recordings of our attempts to reach you and we would be happy to do so. We will provide them directly to Angie's List regarding this review as well. We would never want clients to have unnecessary frustration for inaccuracies. Again, we deeply apologize for any miscommunication and inconvenience regarding this service. We hope you have a blessed day!

AAA Appliance was extremely responsive and I am happy with them because they were able to get my freezer to work again. It works great now and I will definitely use them again for my appliance repairs.

I called the company late morning to see if they could send someone to repair our dryer. They said that they had a person who could come out that day. Jim came out within 2 hours and quickly detected the problem and fixed it. It only took about 30 minutes.

We were seeing a lot of condensation inside of our refrigerator and we were pleased with the results of calling AAA Appliance. The man that came could have told us most anything and got us for a lot of money but instead he simply said it needed a gasket. It was nice to see someone be so honest and not take us for a lot of money.

I called and scheduled their visit for a day I had off. I mentioned it was most likely a belt problem. They charged an $88 trip charge to come out. They came out and confirmed it was a belt break and said they would have to order the part and call when it was ready. They requested and received a 50% deposit for the full job estimate via credit card. The repairman was professional and efficient. They estimated 5-7 days but said they couldn't say exactly when it would be ready. Eight days later they called and said the part was ready. They couldn't come out the next Saturday (repair guy was off) so I made an appointment for the following Saturday. They said they would be there between 8:30 A.M-2:00 P.M. I got a call about 9:15 and they arrived about 9:30. Work took about 45 minutes. The job required 2 guys. They did things in a professional manner. Charge was the original estimate minus a $12 coupon from the phone book I had. One year warranty on parts and labor.

I called AAA because they repair industrial refrigerators. The repair technician recommended that I replace the compressor. I researched the recommendation because the repair cost was very high. It became clear to me that replacing the unit would be at least twice as much, so I decided to repair. It was very difficult to get the repair scheduled, the scheduler reluctantly set a time for the repair. He assured me that they would call me in the morning before the repairmen came by, since he could not give me a time range. However, the repairmen arrived without any warning. AAA was very insensitive to the needs of busy people. Also, one repairman grumbled when they had one of my towels caught under the refrigerator, complaining about the need to move it "for a rag." The refrigerator has been repaired, & now works well. Good work, but a hassle to work with.

Adam arrived in the time frame specified. He was professional. Due to the cost, we decided to wait on doing the repair. It was only affecting one of the burners. We found if we didn't use that burner, the problem would not occur. We've decided to live with it for now.

AAA's frig tech, Woody, was informative and thorough. A needed part was installed within a week of his first visit. He came back when the refrigerator continued too warm. He explained the malfunctioning part was (is) under warranty. I haven't called Maytag yet, but everyone I've talked with agrees with his diagnosis.

THE REPAIR PERSON (I FORGOT HIS NAME) WAS VERY NICE, INFORMATIVE AND KNOWLEDGEABLE. I WOULD TRUST HIM ON ANY FUTURE REPAIRS.

HE HAD TO ORDER A NEW CONTROL VALVE AS THE OLD ONE WAS LEAKING. HE CAME BACK AFTER A WEEK AND WHEN THE PART WAS IN. HE REPLACED THE PART AND THE OVEN IS NOW FUNCTIONING PROPERLY. IT WAS, HOWEVER, AN EXPENSIVE REPAIR ($300+ FOR THE PART AND $100 - $200 FOR LABOR). HOWEVER, WE WERE SATISFIED WITH THE REPAIR AND THE FRIENDLINESS AND KNOWLEDGEABLE OF THE REPAIR PERSON.

I ASKED TO BE CALLED 1 HOUR BEFORE. THEY CALLED AND WERE ON TIME. SANDOR QUICKLY DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM AS A FAULTY IGNITER. HE GAVE US A QUOTE OF $148 FOR THE IGNITER AND $98 LABOR TO INSTALL. HE SAID THEY CHARGE A FIX LABOR RATE, NOT PER HOUR. I WAS SURPRISED AT THE COST BUT HAD TO GET THE OVEN FIXED. I ASKED IF THE $49 TRIP CHARGE WOULD APPLY. HE SAID NO , IT WAS SEPARATE. WE USED A DISCOUNT COUPON BUT IT WAS ONLY FOR $12. IT TOOK HIM A HALF HOUR TO DIAGNOSE, REPAIR AND TEST THE OVEN. WE WERE HAPPY WITH HIS KNOWLEDGE AND PROFESSIONALISM BUT DISMAYED AT HOW EXPENSIVE THE PARTS AND LABOR WAS. WE WERE NOTIFIED OF ALL PRICES UP FRONT SO WE CAN T COMPLAIN. I DID CHECK THE PRICE OF AN IGNITER AT AN APPLIANCE PARTS STORE AND WAS QUOTED $56.95. ALTHOUGH EXTREMELY PLEASED WITH THE SERVICE, I THOUGHT THE PRICE WAS HIGH.
