"They knocked down the hornets nest, however they do have a predatory contract. I only needed them for one thing. The contract has 4 check marks at which it appears that it is when you will be charged but the way you will be charged is monthly and not quarterly. Who needs a monthly pest subscription at $50 for 12 months? To break the contract is $200 so be aware and read the contract carefully. Hopefully theyll get a class action due to these practices. Good luck! "

Your mouse problem is our mouse problem! We've been in business for over 25 years, specializing in a multi-step process that we developed and perfected to get you mice-free. Traps and sprays just don't work and become costly over time. Our treatment eliminates the mice, then we seal the entry points to mouse-proof the home, and finally we disinfect to sanitize against bacteria and disease. We give a 1 Year 100% Guarantee against mice in your home, and offer optional clean-up services. Give Mice Mob a call today! Serving the NW Chicogoland area.
"It is too soon to comment on whether they solved my mice problem. However I was greatly disappointed with the discrepancy in the information given to me by the various departments. 1. Cost: a) The owner with whom I spoke to on the phone said that the price for the full job for a townhouse is between $700-$1100. b) The inspector (who took a quick look for 5 minutes) charged $1380. He put pressure to pay half of the price on the spot. 2. Guarantee: a) The owner with whom I spoke to on the phone said that they guarantee a mice free home for the year. I clearly stated that we are a townhouse and he said that they can still do it since we are the end townhouse. b) The inspector said that he cannot give me a guarantee since we are a townhouse. Yet he said he is confident mice will not get in from the neighbors side because there is a fire-wall between the homes. He assured me that if he wasn’t sure they could fix my issue, they wouldn’t take the job. c) The foreman who came to do the repairs said that mice absolutely can get through the firewall by chewing through it or through any tine hole near pipes etc. He added that they wouldn’t be able to give a guarantee even if we weren’t a townhouse, because he sees signs of rats on our property. In summary – at each stage, the guarantee fell lower and lower. At this point, I paid a fortune and have zero guarantee that they fixed the issue."

Family Owned and Operated
"Moved into a new house, discovered some evidence of mice. Schopen came to the rescue! Setting an appointment was easy, the tech arrived on time, was friendly. He did a visual inspection inside and outside of the house and patched possible entrances around the foundation. He set traps and bait stations and then came back for a maintenance check. No major evidence of intrusion--the holes they filled outside worked! I am keeping them on for maintenance and adding a spider and bugs b/c they give a single fee for maintenance on both--which is a great deal. They also have an account portal on their website so clients can track spending, notes, and appointments. One national brand came and tried to upsell me--saying that I needed them to install a barrier around my house because of some issue with my siding ($2000!) and the cost of their annual service was double Schopen. I highly recommend skipping the big-name brands and going with this family-owned business."

All were gone in a matter of minutes. He also noticed the mud wasp nests on stone work at my home. I learned something new today! Quick and pleasant staff with excellent communication on work being done. I highly recommend them."

Different pest control methods exist to help mitigate an infestation. Not every technique will work with every pest, which is why speaking with a pest control expert is crucial to taming your problem. Different methods of pest removal include:
Heat treatments
Freezing treatments
Traps
Barriers
Chemical pesticides
Fumigation
Rodenticides
Mechanical devices
Repellants
The cost of pest control is $175 for the average homeowner. However, you could spend as little as $100 or as much as $500 or more, depending on the infestation size, the number of visits you need, and the pest you’re exterminating.
For example, if you need to rid your home of spiders, you’ll likely be spending between $100 and $300. However, if you have a termite problem, you can expect a bill of $230 to $2,500 or more, depending on the infestation size and damage caused.
There are specific methods for pest removal that you can DIY without hiring an expert. If you are preventing pests from making an appearance or clearing out a small infestation of harmless insects, you will likely have success on your own. However, if you’re dealing with pests that eat wood, bedbugs, or other pests that carry a disease risk, like rodents, it’s always worth it to call a pest professional to help you.
Even if you’re not immediately showing signs of pests, it’s a good idea to get into the habit of routine pest control. This should be done yearly, quarterly, bi-monthly, or monthly, depending on your location and if any signs of infestation are already present. For example, if you live by water, you might experience more pests in the spring and summer than someone who lives in a dry climate. Discuss treatment options with your pest professional to determine a suitable schedule for you and your home.
While not every infestation is preventable, there are some actions you can take to minimize the risk of running into these pests in your home. These actions include:
Keeping your home tidy. This includes vacuuming regularly, sanitizing your kitchen, storing food in airtight containers, disposing garbage regularly, and keeping your home clutter-free.
Deep clean at least twice a year. Deep cleaning neglected crevices and corners of your home can help prevent breeding grounds from forming.
Repairing your home when needed. If your home has cracks or holes, you have an open invitation for pests to come in. Remove any standing water and seal any gaps in your floors, walls, and foundation.
Cleaning up your yard. Keep shrubbery and branches well-trimmed and away from your home. Remove fallen leaves and other debris.
Be smart with storage. If you use firewood, store it away from the home (at least 20 feet away if possible) and off of the ground.
