I initially called on V.J. Killian to fix a (Grohe) faucet leak in our shower that damaged my kitchen ceiling. In connection with that repair, my wife and I bought a new Grohe Slide Bar shower unit for the same shower and asked Killian to install it. The quality of work was excellent. The faucet leak is gone and the new Grohe Slide Bar looks like, and works like, original equipment that was perfectly installed. I had one question about the billing on the job and it was promptly addressed by the owner, Bob Baker. I would use V.J. Killian again and recommend them to anyone who needs quality plumbing services at a reasonable price. Thank you! TomGed@msn.com

It was a fair price. We've used them a couple of times. They've been working with my grandmother for years. We were impressed with their work. It's good to have ultimate people in case one is not available. I would use them again.

They are just very responsive. They came out immediately for the job I need them to do. I've used them probably 25 years or more. We just trust them and we always use them.

They answer quickly, they are very responsive, and I trust them. If they say something can be repaired and I believe them, if they say it needs to be replaced, I believe them.

Later that day, we noticed the toilet was not level, and pitched forward when we sat down. I contact Killian to see if anyone was available to come back to the house and fix the problem. The person who answered the phone informed me it was too late in the day, and asked if they could send someone back the next day. I let him know I worked during the day, but I could leave work early and be home between 4:30 and 5:00pm. He informed me that was too late, and would incur overtime. They dont work weekends, so I asked what the latest appointment would be. The response was somewhere around 2:00pm, which I was not able to accomodate with my work schedule. I asked again if there was any way they could come after 3:30pm, to which he replied I and quot;wasn't giving him much to work withand quot;. While I understand they have a schedule to maintain, I was asking for them to correct a problem they had created. The conversation kept circling to no where, and at no point, did I receive an apology or an acknowledgement of any sort.I called back the following day and spoke with someone else. We ended up scheduling for the latest appointment, I think a 3:30 or 4:00. The same plumber came back, and placed shims under the front of the toilet to get rid of the rocking. I asked about the estimate for the outside faucet, which he said they would send. A few days later, I received the invoice for the service provided, still no estimate, though. They eventually sent it... While the toilet no longer pitches forward, I'm not completely thrilled with having it shimmed - it wasn't like that before for the past 15 years. Quite frankly, I don't have the energy to go a 3rd round with their office personnel. I guess they're good at what they do - they've been around a long time, they're just not a good fit for me. Overall, I was hoping for a higher level of service across the board.
