Terrible experience - The driver delivered us our stone steps and mis-read the width of the drive, and the width of his bobcat and caused considerable damage to our driveway - Gary, the owner came out within the hour to assess the damage and promised he would take care of things and fix all the damage - he then totally ghosted us. He refused to take calls, or respond to written correspondence - more worrying, they have refused to provide insurance details for the accident - BEWARE!!!

They delivered these all on one pallet, in one delivery and when they got there everything was all mixed together. The issue I had was with the quality of my purchase. The top soil was not really plantable and the stones had too much sand mixed in, which is not what I wanted. Also, I had to pay an additional delivery charge to have these put in either the front as well as the back of my home. I even had to do some wheelbarrowing myself. When we put the top soil in to the planter box and the rain hit it, we realized that it turned more into clay than actual top soil. I then went to the store to let them know about this; I requested a refund or to have someone come back to my house to pick up the top soil and the stone/gravel. I was then told that I have been blacklisted and I am not able to come back to the store. I just want their future customers to know that they need to be careful and that SKOKIE VALLEY MATERIAL has awful customer service.

Very knowledgeable staff! Walked me through a solution to my problem, and provided the right material. Past suppliers substituted play sand for polymetric sand. These guys were great and very honest
