+ 0 moreVery disappointed with Rick Switzer. He quoted us a price to paint and install a fan. His invoice was triple his quote. He was very irate when we questioned the bill. He hung up on us twice. Yes - we did ask for a very small extra project, calking and touching up - but he took complete advantage of us. He is very unprofessional and is out of town too much with his other company which is a travel agency.
Description of Work: Painted living room walls; bathroom walls; ceiling and install a fan.

+ 0 moreWho requires payment in full before any work is performed? Especially when he know us to be good former customers? The quality of the work they do is good, but Mr. Sweitzer did not treat us in what we consider to be a fair and courteous manner. He did return our deposit, but pulled out of the job as we were not comfortable paying him in full before any work was done. He left us with cabinets ordered and no one hired to do the work.
Description of Work: We used this company a few years prior for exterior painting/carpentry and were pleased with our experience at that time. This year we asked them to remodel our kitchen. We came up with a plan, and had a start date. They told us the job would be between 11,000 and 20,000 depending on what they encountered once the old kitchen was torn out. We felt a deposit of 5,500 to get the date on a calendar was adequate(since they had to buy no materials before the job) and it was 50% of the lower estimate. We would then be fine with paying weekly as they billed us. BUT Rick Swietzer ultimately would not move forward with the job unless we gave him $11,000 up front. We felt this was unreasonable as there was no expense on their part until they started the job and got into it. We ended up cancelling the contract. We were offended; especially since our exterior painting and carpentry project exceeded $20,000, and he knew us to be honest customers who always paid as soon as he gave us a bill.

+ -1 moreSIGNED A CONTRACT FOR SNOW REMOVAL FOR THE ENTIRE WINTER. AND ALSO PAID THEM FOR THE ENTIRE WINTER. I HAVE TO CALL AND REMIND THEM EVERY TIME IT SNOWS. THEY SHOULD BE DOING THE SHOVELING AUTOMATICALLY BUT THEY DO NOT. I WILL NOT USE THEM AGAIN.
