They are known for their excellence in this area. I didn’t quite like the design of other people that I looked into and that’s why I went ahead with them. They did a simple but a very good design. They were good at listening to what I wanted and they delivered that design. I liked how they drew the design and they used colored pens and stuffs and they did not use the computer. They were very patient and responsive to my questions. I also asked them to do some extra little projects and they did it without any questions and queries. The foreman of the job listed was really exceptional. Their pricing was very expensive.

The tremendous thing about them was just the hand-holding they did for us in the selection of trees we wanted, so, they spent tons of time with us. They really went through all of our options discussing what might be best for our yards. They were upfront and the kind of work they did was amazing.

Excellent. No problem. The men worked hard and did an excellent job.

Chalet is very professional, extremely customer-oriented, and its employees are quite knowledgeable. It's an expensive place to shop but you know everything is top quality. I bought things on a Saturday and even though I didn't indicate there was a rush the delivery was made the next morning before I was even awake. I had left little notes taped up about where things should be placed and they were followed exactly.

They have great people working for them. It is so nice to be able to walk around their grounds to view the flowers, trees, and plants. They are not inexpensive, but offer quality work.

Called in mid April and a designer came out in late April. After 5 weeks, I had not heard anything, even though I had followed up with a plat of survey (as requested) and an email within the first few days and a voicemail after 4 weeks (neither were acknowledged). I spoke with the manager of the office/designers at that point, who said that they had been very busy, but 5 weeks was a bit too long and the designer should have communicated with me at least to provide an update. I left a message for the manager again at 6 plus weeks (no response) and a design arrived in the mail at 8 plus weeks. I must say that I feel very stupid for waiting and waiting for Chalet to respond. When delivered, the design only incorporated part of what I asked for; I felt it was also quite uninspired. In addition, there was no accompanying letter or note and the drawing was not even colored in. I only got separate quote sheets. Also, no follow up call. I was excited at the prospect of working with Chalet, but they have made me feel that I am somehow not worthy, even though I do spend thousands of dollars a year on items at the nursery/retail store. My mistake (and theirs) was to not get an idea of timeline up front. I have worked with landscape designers before, so I understand something about the process; a more professional firm/designer would have let me know not to expect anything for at least two months given their current workload. With that knowledge, I could have looked elsewhere sooner.

They did exceptionally well. They needed a little work with their communication skills but the end result was gorgeous and they also had great follow up. There were some minor problems with some plants dying but they replaced them without any questions.

The quality of the plants and sod is excellent. They are a little expensive (not as much as some in this area) but they are worth it. They are very responsive to any specific requests.

The guys do a great job. Their level of service is excellent and top of the line. It's nice to come home and see a freshly pruned yard. The only thing I don't like is that I think their pricing is a little high.

I thought that they were very knowledgeable. They were also very professional, too. I had an experience with them at a previous house and they were great. I have always liked them. The bushes were like 1/5 the total cost. Some of their materials are kind of weedy, but that was not the workers fault.

The landscaper came and gave us a plan in a half an hour.

Terrible, a complete waste of time. The entire process took more than 6 weeks. In the end, Chalet sent us a letter stating that they only install their own designs. This was a total lie. During the 6 weeks that the request for bid was with Chalet, Troy Ripley came to our house to clarify a few questions. At that time, we were told that the bid was substantially complete. Three weeks later, we got the letter. That Chalet does not want to bid the job is disappointing. That Chalet wasted 6 weeks of our time is unprofessional. That they chose to lie about their reasons for passing on this job is simply pathetic.

I have been to Chalet many times over the years, and even when I'm going in for just one item, such as the pond water clarifier, I always take time to look around at the incredible array of plants and flowers they have available. If you need something no one else is likely to have, chances are you will find it here. When I was looking for red twig dogwoods, I found not one but five varieties! Nobody else had my pussywillow either. Of course, you pay for this kind of bountiful supply, but that's the tradeoff for excellence versus ordinary.

They have an amazing selection of plants there, but they are overpriced and the salespeople are extremely difficult to track down, in the store and over the phone. Planting costs 1/3 of the cost of the plant/shrub, which I think is ridiculous.

They were able to do the work quickly and were responsive when I wanted to add privets to be planted, but the quality of work was inconsistent. Specifically, the stone walkway was poorly installed, and even though I called and they returned to fix it, the stones still tip when you step on them. In addition, the design was not communicated to the polite crew, so the crew removed a large portion of my lawn. While I made them put the lawn back, I had to water that area thoroughly over the next few weeks so I didn't lose that part of the lawn (this was during the summer of 2005), and even that watering wasn't sufficient to restore the lawn to its previous condition. The cement walkway is fine; the privets are thriving. Their pricing was decent;not as overpriced as I was expecting.

The job was done quickly and well. I was prepared to wait several weeks for a schedule, but they were able to come the following day!The crew was polite, and worked carefully so as to not disturb existing plant material as they dug up the existing bricks and replaced with 14 inch high concrete stone pieces. I did not want the usual horizontally stacked flagstone treatment, and Ed was helpful to choose a material that met my request.

CHALET IS NOT THE LEAST EXPENSIVE SUPPLIER BUT THE QUALITY OF THEIR STOCK MAKES IT A FAIR TRADE. CHALET SEEMS TO SPECIALIZE IN HARD-TO-FIND PLANTS & SUPPLIES & THE STAFF REALLY IS QUITE KNOWLEDGEABLE & HELPFUL. CHALET ALSO CARRIES SOME FANTASTIC PET SUPPLIES TOO, WHICH MAKES IT A NICE STOP WHEN YOU'RE OUT WITH YOUR 4-LEGGED FRIENDS.

BE PREPARED TO PAY. THEY ARE NOT CHEAP BUT DO GOOD WORK AND WILL FIX A PROBLEM IF ONE COMES UP.

CHALET DID A SUPERB JOB FOR US AND FOR NEIGHBORS AS WELL. THEY ARE EXPENSIVE FOR MAINTENANCE ON A WEEKLY BASIS AND WE DO NOT USE THEM FOR THIS.
