CDI REMODELING

I had used Ed to remodel our basement when he was working with Stan the Handy Man. Ed's work was very good for that job. He is a skilled carpenter and has very good knowledge of construction. He is also a very nice guy. However, I think that he attempted to do work for which he was not qualified and it cost me plenty. I needed the receiver speakers set up for my surround sound system TV. Ed assured me he could do the job. He hung the speakers just fine. However, it became clear that he had no idea how to wire the receiver properly for the TV, speakers, DVD player, etc. Ed was clearly confused about the wiring and kept reading and re-reading the instructions. He also called the company that made the receiver. It took him many hours to do the work. When he was finished and showed me how to work the system, he charged me $700. I should not have paid it. That was my mistake. Almost immediately, I had problems with the system. I called ABT, from whom I had purchased the receiver and speakers and they sent a service man out who rewired the system, correcting the errors Ed had made. The system was much easier to use after ABT corrected Ed's work. ABT charged me $39. I called Ed and emailed him to discuss this matter. He never returned my calls.

I called for an estimate for tiling my bathrooms. I received prompt callbacks and estimates. Ed is totally professional, a super hard worker, very nice (even to my dogs), does a great job and he was very helpful in advising us on the projects my husband and I were trying to do ourselves.
