Beechen & Dill is too unethical to be called a reputable builder. Their 1 year warranty is a joke! They offer a warranty that is determined, by them, as to what will or won't get fixed. The craftsmanship completed by their contractors is deplorable! They get your money, but the product they give you in return is appalling! My husband and I closed on our home in May 2018 and have already had NUMEROUS issues, including: a fully sodded yard that was guaranteed by contract, and only after complaining for a year, was just recently completed. When I spoke to the landscape contractor, he was impatient, rude, and dismissive towards me. Seigle's Cabinets supplied the cabinets which have gaps, cracks, exposed seams, and globs of paint on them. We questioned the quality before we moved in and were told that the cabinets would get fixed at our one year service after the wood had settled. They didn't get fixed, and we have been told they are "deemed tolerable" and will not get fixed. Seigle's was exceptionally disrespectful and used a threatening tone towards me when I spoke to their general manager on the phone. We had concrete steps that the village of Lemont said were not up to code before we closed on our home that just got fixed a few weeks ago. We have hardwood floors that creak, despite constant adjustments made to our humidifier to lessen the creaking. They use cheap Chinese flooring which has been an issue with other homes in the subdivision. Masonry work was sloppy. Beechen & Dill does NOT want to resolve these issues, and therefore, will pawn you off onto the contractors who also do not want to deal with you or these problems. This company hires contractors that are consistently arrogant, demeaning, and threatening toward women. On NUMEROUS occasions I was not only spoken to by Beechen & Dill's contractors like I was a young, dumb millennial, but I was also threatened. One gentleman told me to "never call him again or there will be problems". I am a strong competent woman that worked hard to get where I am. I should be respected by Beechen & Dill and their contractors! This company is chauvinism at its worse! Do NOT expect this attitude to improve. It only gets worse after they have your money!

New home closing was 2 months late. Took them 5 attempts to get the final grade correct and pass village code, Had to replace the driveway twice due to defects and improper grade. Refuses to replace defective $15,000 hardwood floors. Very contemptuous towards the customer if you question them regarding complaints. Buyer beware. They advertise themselves as warm fuzzy family business. The only ones warm and fuzzy are the owners, AFTER, they get your money.

They don't charge as a part of my 11th month service.
