Worst interaction with a "highly rated" Angie's List vendor that I have ever experienced. Signed up for the Deal of the Day/Today's Big Deal with Action Cleaning ($99 for 4 rooms of carpet cleaning). Spoke to the owner (Steve D'aquila) and explained what I wanted done (one room on the top (3rd floor) of my house, as well as the basement and stairs). He explained that the stairs were not included in the deal and that I would be charged extra for anything above 700 square feet ($3 per stair and .55 cents per square foot above the 700 sq. ft that were part of this deal). I AGREED. He arrived on site (after being unable to find my house). BEFORE HE EVEN ENTERED MY HOUSE, he told me that he would not do the top floor bedroom. I asked why. He said it was not "part of the deal." I responded that he and I had discussed this on the phone, and that I had very clearly told him the rooms that I wanted done and agreed to pay the extra fees. He responded that he did not like my attitude and that he was leaving. I tried to have a discussion with Steve and his partner (Anthony) about my "attitude" and the disconnect, but to no avail. If anyone had an "attitude," it was him. He agreed to do a job, and then backed out--despite the fact that I agreed to pay him the additional fees. I am still bewildered. Would not recommend this vendor. In response to the Company's response: 1. Like you said, it was not an attic bedroom. It was a third floor bedroom, which you knew from the outset. If there was a misunderstanding on that point, it was because you failed to listen. I was very clear as to what rooms I wanted cleaned--the third fllor bedroom being the main one. If you did not want to do the third floor bedroom, you should have said so when we spoke to set up the appointment and I would have canceled the service. You made the offer clean up to 700 sq ft of carpet for $99. Not me; 2. Once you were on-site, you never agreed to do the third floor bedroom. If you had, we would not be having this virtual conversation; 3. To suggest that I "barraged" you with questions or treated you with anything but respect is disingenuous. As I stated above, before you even entered my house, you said you were not doing the upper floor bedroom. I asked you why, especially since we had discussed the same in advance, and I had spent the night before moving furniture etc. Seems like a fair question to me. With that, you said that you did not like my attitude and were leaving. I asked you, genuinely and sincerely, what was wrong with my attitude. You agreed to do a job, then refused. I asked why. Fair question, I think. Is that attitude? I think not; 4. If I don't meet your standards because I questioned your refusal to do a job that you agreed to then you are right--I don't meet your standards. And, you don't meet mine. Best of luck.

He never showed or called. I got nothing. We had very severe weather last night but I thought he would of called him back.

Making the original appointment was a little difficult due to the overwhelming response to Angie's Big Deal. Because of the Big Deal though, it was a very good price.

Initially, when I received the rugs back, I had some concerns. When I expressed them to Steve, he responded right away to address my issues and was very interested in making sure I was satisfied. Great customer service. In the end, it all worked out fine.

Steve was professional, provided excellent communication about when they were coming. They actually took some things off the floor to maximize cleaning. The were efficient and everything looked like new when finished. I loved that they provided more than just carpet cleaning. Steve accommodated my need to get the area rugs back to my home at a particular date. I would definitely recommend this company.

Professional and courteous. Took care with their equipment so as not to damage carpet, furniture or walls. The results were what we had hoped for...clean without a lot of odor or residue. They arrived as arranged and were prepared to do the job. A very good experience overall.

I chose to drop it off and pick it up to save $25. They charged me an addition 45 for the extra foot the special was for a 4X7 rug. Rug still has spots after service

Great job done. Clean my kichen's ceramic grout and floor effectivly.

It was fine, they did a fine job. They called, scheduled, showed up on time, did their work and left. They were courteous and nice. I recommend them.

Job went excellend overall. I would have them again. If I had any carpet, rugs for them to clean I certainly would have.

Steve and his partner where very prompt to our appointment and got right to work. They pretreated and hand scrubbed the very dirty grout lines. They then went to work with the steam cleaner and an hour later the floors were like new, what a difference, Had I realized how dirty the grout was I would have done this sooner. Steve finished up by sealing all of the grout lines.

Steve D'Aquila and his assistant Anthony arrived exactly on the scheduled time and date we arranged. Steve used a measuring device and verified the square footage was under 600 sq. ft. They did our laundry room first to show us the quality of the cleaning. We were initially disappointed that the grout cleaning was not "perfect". Steve explained that the grout was 100% clean, but after 25 years, the tile was stained. He also said that after the grout dries, it will not show the staining as much. He left the decision up to us if we wanted to have him continue with the work, or leave. We told them to continue with all of the work. They used an organic oxidizing liquid cleaner which they simply poured on the tile and used a stiff brush on a long handle to physically clean all of the grout. Then they used a large cleaning machine, connected by a hose to their truck, to clean the tile itself. They then dried the tile and grout and then applied the grout sealer from an applicator attached to a long handle. They finished all of the work in approx. 2 hours. Steve said not to aggressively clean the tile and grout for 3 days to allow the sealer to "cure". All of the cleaned tile had a slight coating of a white film after it dried. Steve said it was OK to use a damp towel to take off the film. After they left, I cleaned the tile in one of our 3 bathrooms that has a colored grout. The tile cleaned up perfectly and the colored grout looked like it was new. It was fantastic, and we were 100% satisfied. All of our other tile has grout that is almond colored and considering the grout staining left after the cleaning, we were 80% to 90% satisfied. Overall, we were very pleased with the quality of the tile and grout cleaning, and would definitely hire Action Cleaning Systems again. The organic oxidizing liquid cleaner they used did NOT smell bad at all, and after an hour or two after they left, I could not smell anything at all. That was a big plus for this work. Steve and Anthony were both very nice and very respectful and I had no trouble having them in my house for 2 hours. Steve said for traffic from my wife and I, the grout sealer should last about 2 years. Thank you Angie's List, this was a great deal for a great price!!!

Called and scheduled a time to drop off the rugs at their shop. There was a man there who brought in all my rugs for me. It only took about 10 minutes for him to lay out all the rugs and measure. He then showed me some of their work in the back! They obviously take pride in what they do there. In 2 weeks they were ready. My schedule was crazy that week but the owner worked with me to set up a time to pick them up. They are a small shop so they are out working most of the time but it was no problem setting up a time to meet them back at the shop. The rugs look fantastic! We had some tough stains (coffee, wine, cat pee and God knows what else) on a couple of them and they got ALL of it out. I would definitely use them again.

Steve and his employee arrived exactly at 9:30 as scheduled. Measured the area's to be cleaned. Brought in all of their machinery and supplies and got started. They were super nice, friendly and very efficient. They made sure to clean up after themselves and gave me some tips to help keep the floor looking great. They were in and out of my house in just about an hour. I think it would have taken them a bit longer but I took the time to move all of my things out of the kitchen and bath before they arrived which they were thankful for.

They did an excellent job. they arrived promptly , worked quickly but took the time to clean thoroughly. Their bill was reasonable and we were fully reimbursed by insurance carrier without any questions about any of the services. We would use them again..

Their service is excellent. Has new, updated equipment and does thorough work. He's friendly and even put up with my kids all day!

This is the third time the basement had flooded since we recently moved into the house. Neighbors were not aware of a flooding problem before our move. The first flood came in September after the horrific rains that affected so many homes, plus our power was out for 20 hours. We thought the flooding was just bad luck until we flooded again. Then we had 2 different waterproofing companies look at the house and one recommended that we have the sewer system rodded because it had started to back up and could have been a cause for flooding. Evidently it wasn't the problem because we had complete rodding and last week we flooded again. The next choice is to expose the walls by ripping off all the coverings and builtins and removing the new carpeting (the recent restoration). Inability to find the cause of flooding has been very frustrating. It has also been equally frustrating to make a call to Steve to repeatedly bail out the basement situation, though he has been really great.
