Very very pricy for what they did. Calling you crazy for monthly payment. Stay away from them. They don't deserve to be in business

I recently purchased a home with a pool and contacted Platinum Poolcare about having them opening the pool for the season, conducting regular maintenance on it over the summer, and possibly installing an automatic pool cover for safety. Each time I called, their customer service/receptionist people were friendly and helpful, except that they said Hugo was the residential service guy I needed to talk to, so I'd have to leave a message. It took me 3 phone calls to check up on this just to get a return phone call from Hugo to set up a meeting at the house. While meeting with me at the house, I felt that Hugo did a poor job explaining much of anything to me, an inexperienced pool owner. When I asked about things like possibly converting to salt water chlorination or installing a cover, he simply said it was a bad idea with little to no additional details. If safety is not Platinum's specialty, then that is fine, but I would have hoped that he could simply state that or point me in the direction of a different provider. Instead he told me to just Google and quot;pool safety fenceand quot;. He cautioned me about the extreme cost of installing a cover on this pool, and I told him that I understood it would be expensive and would still like to see an estimate prepared so that I could make an informed decision for myself. He left saying that he would email me the quote and that if I signed and accepted the proposed quote for opening the pool that I could get on their schedule for opening the pool as soon as the following weekend. Well, I never heard back from Hugo or anyone else at Platinum Pools. Frustrated, I decided to go with a different provider who was much more responsive. The really annoying part is that I contacted Platinum in the first place knowing full well that they would be on the more pricey end of the spectrum, but hoping that that was an indication of superior service or knowledge (which I needed as a novice pool owner). Well, that turned out not to be true. I am glad to have taken my business elsewhere. If the issue was availability, or that they did not want additional business or something (I have no idea - I'm just speculating), then I wish they would've just said that up front and not wasted my time with an in person meeting and a promised quote that never came.

They do a beautiful job. Their service is outstanding. If I call with a problem they are either there that day or the following day. They get it taken care of.

Platinum pool is difficult to deal with. The gal who answers the phone is gruff and acts like you are bothering her each time you call. If you have a problem with your pool, it can take 2-3 days for them to come and check it and another 2-3 days for any real repairs to take place. The weekly maintenance was well done, so as long as your pool has no issues, they are fine.

I am writing to the BBB, recalling my credit card company and I plan on suing PPC as I have saved the old exchanger and have several witnesses to this problem. Instead of owning up to their incompetence, they called their valued customer a liar and cost me $1000's of dollars and pool that was unusable for half a season and a spa that's been unusable for several seasons. I regret having ever let this company into my home, stay away, they do not know what they are doing!

Their work is consistently very good. They do good repairs on difficult problems and their maintenance service is consistently top quality.

They looked professional. The two guys who came out communicated very clearly. I have no problem but my parents don’t speak Spanish and many of them who came out spoke only Spanish and there was a communication breakdown. These guys were very clear. One of them was Hispanic but they spoke perfect English. They were really quick. They were the first ones who ended up with the quote. We did not go with them because of the price. As for responsiveness they answered all the questions. They did not have to call over anybody else so the persons who showed up knew what they were talking about. A lot of times, when you ask the person who brings in the quote certain questions they have to call back to find out the answers. These guys did not have to do that. As for punctuality, they were the first ones to show up. Also when they give you a time frame, you did not have to end waiting for them they were within the given time frame. As for professionalism they were friendly and at the same time knew what they were doing. We would definitely give them a call if we had a problem with the pool in the future.. .

I found Platinum Pool from Angie's List, and I was thankfully super impressed with every single aspect of their company. We have an old pool that needed total refurbishing, Platinum Pool is the only company that truly new expertly every aspect of the work from equipment, electrical, plumbing, diving board, tiling, plaster versus paint, etc. They took expert care and skill every step of the way. We could not have been more happy with Tony Smith and each and every person of Platinum Pool.

They fixed it quickly for the price they quoted. It was a regular service call with nothing unexpected. I was not particularly impressed. They were professional, efficient and met my expectations. They were on time.

Outstanding job, done well at every step. Tony Smith and the Platinum staff get all the details right the first time. Fair pricing (not the cheapest), but certainly the best and well worth it. I plan to use them next spring to replaster the entire pool. Strongly recommended.

Communication, communication, communication! What more can one say. Aquatech/Terry Smith was very accommodating: We had a tight schedule to be ready for a Christmas Party and they delivered. Work was completed in about 3 weeks. Good project organization, from product ordering/delivery to installation and workforce scheduling. Well practiced and proficient team advised and followed through to the end product. Office personnel was helpful to answer questions and reliable to dispatch messages to engage a timely response. Quality materials and professional results! Call and ask for Terry Smith he will set you up!
