My backyard terrace project is still in progress and the work that has been done so far has been done like the pros that they are. The project is expensive but I look at it this way .. You get what you pay for and this is a very experienced professional company. Everything they are doing is being done right! My only criticism is that they don't have enough guys working for them. So they are spread a bit thin over multiple jobs and it's taking a bit longer than originally estimated. I highly recommend working with Pete and Milieu Design.

Excellent . Not much snow but timing was great

My wife and I hired Milieu in Feb of 2014 to do a landscaping/hardscaping job on our home in Barrington Hills, IL. Peter Wodarz and his company (Milieu) will promise the world to you and then not deliver. His company will charge you with miscellaneous charges on things not even discussed prior to any work being done on these said charges. If you dispute the charges with proof based on payments and signed contracts, they will continue to harass you with invalid statements and debt collectors. My personal experience with Milieu is WAY too long to write on this review. I'd be more than happy to discuss with anyone who is contemplating using Milieu and their services over the phone. I have used Milieu for 10 years. Over the last 3-4 years I have observed decreased quality in lawn care, trimming, shrub maintenance, etc. I kept hoping it would improve but it has not; if anything, service has deteriorated. T

Love the landscaping design and work. Not happy with the last load of compost delivered this summer. It was not well sifted and contained lots of debris. Will not get compost from them again. Will continues having them for regular lawn maintenance and snow removal.

The meeting went well enough as the landscaper visited the property and listened to the overall objectives and some of the ideas received from competing landscapers. She took 45 minutes to an hour of our time. However, the contractor did not provide the requested estimate, nor did she respond to two follow-up emails. It had been a month since first contact and still we received no response, so the contractor failed to meet bid requirements. It would have been courteous for the landscaper to at least respond to our inquiries and indicate that it did not intend to provide a proposal.

They have shown up and done the job and that is the important thing. I would like to take snow off my car, but they don't do that. I would suspect the price is high. I think I might shop around first, but if I couldn't find anything that recommended at a better price I would use them again.

We have been using them for years, since we moved to this area, and they have always been great. The guys that come for us have always been really great; they are nice guys.

I have never happier with the work of a landscape company. While previous firms have attempted to up-charge me after work was done, Milieu provides accurate estimates and follows them to the letter. I like the fact their designer is open to my ideas but often comes up with even better ones on her own.

Milieu, responds within moments to all responses, and with each scenario takes little information from me and transforms a bland space into something spectacular and price worthy. On going maintenance makes it stress free.

They take care of things in a very nice and timely way. They do what they say they will do.

They do great work. We have been using them for about 8-9 years. They also do our holiday lighting and snow plowing. We have a great account manager and works with us. He is a good guy and very responsive. He has learned what it is we look for and how we like things. He is very customer focused.

He is a very talented designer. It depends; sometimes it does take a fair amount of follow up to get the design and when he comes he may not take great notes, but he is so talented. If you understand this will be the case, once they start the job they always make it right. If you want to tweak anything they will do it for you. They also maintain our property and so they do the grounds keeping, including plowing. If they ruin any plans they will replace them. They make everything right. I would definitely recommend Milieu. You just have to understand that he isn't always the most organized, but when he is on top of the job he gets it done right. The company overall is an A in responsive, Pete at times can be a and lsquo;C' or an and lsquo;A.' When he is in the midst of the job he is phenomenally responsive. If the job is far out in the future, sometimes you need to follow up.

They did a great job. They were on time every single day. They were perfect. I would definitely use them again and recommend them.

We terminated our contract with them because of their failure to do work required.

They did a wonderful job. They came out evaluated the area. They walked around and listed to what I wanted done in each bed. They worked efficiently and they did a great job.

They are superb. I have been using them for years and they are very reliable. The people they have are highly skilled and a pleasure to deal with.

They are very nice, but not very prompt if you ask them to get something done by a certain date.

They have been my lawn care service for one and a half years now. The contact person, Fabio, (how can you forget a name like that) is very responsive and knowledgable. The only glitch was for this year/current season I had to contact them and when I did so they advised that they had sent contracts out to prior year customers a month earlier. I had not received it but a proposal was promptly sent. I like that they don't have weekly pricing per se and offer a discount for pre-paying for the season and offer monthly debits from a credit card; one less thing to worry about.

The staff did a wonderful. Most importantly they did a very thorough job. Cleaned up everything afterwards, leaving our yard in pefect condition. I would definitely use them again for future services.

The price is for just the spring clean-up. We live in a wooded area on about 1/3 of an acre. It was a very complex job, and I was pleased with the work. The landscape design guy that came out, Kyle, was very professional, friendly, and prompt. He gave great ideas and paid attention to detail. I would use them again in the future and would recommend them to others.

See above. With the exception of trees dying, some they replaced, they did good work.

Milieu Design is a lot more than a lawn mowing service. We've also had them do extensive landscaping and tree removal. This is a very versatile landscaping company. They can do almost anything you ask of them. They are always professional, on time and very responsive.
