We felt comfortable enough after a few meeting, that we contracted for the work to be done while we were out of town. Igor the project manager/worker did a great job with a lot of attention to details. Whenever there was a question (a pipe that no one knew was there) Marc contacted us with pictures and suggested solutions. In that we are in a condo, I was concerned about the outside brickwork involved with the window closure. Everyone agrees that you would never know there was ever a window there. When we got home in June, Igor was making last minute adjustments ready to do any final tweaking that we wanted. All in all we are very pleased, with our new kitchen. We may have paid slightly more for MKB, but we are happy to say we got the quality and peace of mind that they promised us during the sales cycle.

My experience with Stone Studio from start to finish was excellent. Sanja was very helpful on my first visit to the showroom explaining all my options and on subsequent visits assisting with color selection. Tomas did the house visit and in addition to taking the measurements explained all my options from backsplash heights to the edging. He measured the job and gave me a final quote within days. After selecting the slabs the counters were ready for installation in about 2 weeks. The installation crew was great. Arrived on time and did a very neat professional job. The counters fit perfectly and the plumbing work is very good. I have received a number of compliments on the new counters, sink and faucet. I would highly recommend Stone Studio. Good people to work with.

Started by visiting their store, where there was a great selection of stones and tiles. The selection and designs they have in the showroom was significantly better than any of the department stores we went to, and even a much larger specialized stores. Sanja helped out with selection based on the cabinets and the wall color. After the selection was done Tomas came out and did the measurements. He was right on time and a pleasure to talk to and gave us some very good ideas. It really helped having someone with his experience come and not only do the measurements, but give you the suggestions on how to maximize the design. BTW, I used his company MKB in the past for a complete kitchen install - couldn't have been happier. About a week later he showed up with the granite and tiles and did the install. What I liked the most is that they have their own people that come do the work, and not outsourcing it! The guys were friendly, always on time and done ahead of schedule. And the work they did was truly exceptional. After the install was complete Tomas himself came out to make sure that everything is done correctly and up to his standard. You have to value that! I can't tell you how happy I was with the install and the final result! I will definitely use them again!

We went through 6 bids before we decided on MKB (Masters Kitchen & Bath). We had Mike come out for our initial measurement. He was very easy to work with. We then went out to the showroom in Park Ridge where he went through the pricing, specs etc. Their price was the most reasonable. We had another company which is HIGHLY rated on Angie's come out and give us a bid and we did not like the guy and their prices were about $30K for the kitchen remodel vs our $17K with MKB. A huge PLUS for MKB is that they are a one stop shop - they have the granite (they have a separate company for this - MKB Stone Studio which has a review and price was all inclusive), backsplash, door handles, EVERYTHING you need for the kitchen in 1 location. HUGE PLUS for us since we do not have the time to go from 1 place to another in search of items. It did take us a while to figure out tile and backsplash selection - you really need to know what you want as they have a huge selection of everything. We were assigned Peter who was extremely cordial and very clean and orderly for the entire time he was here (approx 5 weeks). He was here every morning b/w 7:30 - 8A. He was by far the star of the project and it was a pleasure to work with him. During the process we interacted with Tomas (owner) and who oversaw and communicated regularly with me and with Peter about details of the project. The job was exceptional! We were never at home and entrusted everything with Peter and we felt comfortable about what was being done. We have already recommended them to others and would recommend them to everyone. The granite looks amazing, the LED ribbon lights are must haves and the don't hog electricity nor do they get hot. Soft close drawers - great! (1 item to note - Kemper did not send the soft close drawers and 2 side panels came broken but were immediately reordered and resent). We are very happy with our kitchen and are extremely pleased with the work done. And best of all - they give you a 5 year warranty for labor performed.

The experience was very easy. We went to their main store - Masters Kitchen and Bath in Park Ridge. They have a WIDE selection of granite, tile and mosaic to choose from and large samples (not small samples like at home depot etc) so you can try to match your other items to. They sent us to choose granite at another location (whose name unfortunately I cannot recall) so we could tag our slab of granite (that place had TONS of granite) - your mind will be overwhelmed!!! We worked with Tomas at MKB studio. They pick up the granite and polish, cut and install at your home. The granite was about 500 lbs!!! It was a really slab they had to bring up 3 flights of stairs. The kitchen looks fantastic. The fireplace looks great! For granite - I would use this MKB (including their stone studio which was all part of 1 large package price for our kitchen remodel). Recommended by a friend. Tomas and all his employees were prompt, courteous, and professional throughout the entire project. We especially liked the "one stop shop" approach to getting our kitchen updated. We highly recommend using this company to everyone.

Had new kitchen countertop installed along with backsplash, sink and faucet. They hauled out the old, brought in the new. They did the plumbing and unhooked the stove and hooked it back up. We were able to pick out everything in one visit. A very pleasant experience.
