Jerry's Dust Free Flooring

I was extremely impressed from the beginning as Jerry came during a 30 minute break, from another job, to give me a quote. I could tell he would take his time and I was impressed at the price and the speed at which he sent the quote. I got multiple quotes and went with him because I felt he would do the job right and with pride. I truly cannot say enough good things about Jerry and his team (my husband would agree)! The attention to detail, the hard work, the thorough job, and cleanliness were just some of the great things I can name. We are so so happy with our floors/new banisters and railing. My wife was very impressed when he came out to provide a quote, he truly seemed more knowledgeable about the floors than the others that came out. We had him do a few extra things which he was happy to accommodate. We ended up scratching the floor when we were moving furniture back in and he and when I mentioned it to him and he came that day and didn't charge us anything for it (though I would have happily paid him to). They were very professional, they showed up when they said they would, and they were very easy to work with. I would highly recommend them to anyone that is needing work done with their floors! If we end up needing any additional work, we will most definitely utilize them again.

Everything thing went well from start to finish (obtaining the estimate/proposal to overall project completion). We obtained 3 estimates initially and ended up going with Jerry because he appeared to be the most knowledgeable and had the experience/expertise with the stairway rebuilding/finishing that we also wanted in addition to the installation of the floors and new trim. The job took approximately 11 days, they (Jerry and 2 employees) typically arrived by 8am Mon-Fri and left anywhere between 5-6pm with a couple of later nights and 1 Saturday (half-day) towards the end of the job. My family and I did stay at a hotel for 5 of these days and our dogs were boarded for 7 of the days due to the magnitude of this project. Jerry and his employees were all pleasant and professional. As with any very large project like this, things do not always go according to plan, there were a couple things that happened during the job (only major thing was damaged drywall (hole) in ceiling going down to the basement that occurred while working on the stairs) and a few things we noticed upon completion (couple small places missing trim/shoe molding, couple boards of flooring needing replacement, & shifting of the largest stair railing); however, Jerry made sure everything was corrected promptly and came back to our house on a couple of occasions with no issues, he even fixed a part of one of the new banisters that our painters subsequently chipped with their ladder! This was a bit of a messy job with the saw dust from cutting the flooring and trim; however, weather permitting they tried to do most the cutting outside but on a couple days it was done in the garage. I definitely recommend outside if at all possible. The guys did clean up everything really well at the end of everyday though. Overall, Jerry and his guys were great to work with, I would definitely recommend his company and would use them again in the future. Our floors and stairway look beautiful, we are very happy with the end result.

Jerry & his brother & thier fellow worker all did a perfect job. They refinished my tug & groove hardwood floor better than I thought it was possible. Our floors were badly scratched that was no problem for them. They perfectly installed 34 pieces of the wood floor since a wall was removed years ago the tug & groove floor pieces were missing & was hidden under a cabinet. So they did the entire job perfectly. My wife & I could not be happier with Jerry's company. Also totally dust free an amazing system. I would highly recommend using Jerry's company again to everyone. Thank you again Jerry & crew.

Jerry and his team did a great job. Not only do the floors look great, but the experience was EASY. They were punctual, professional and the work really was virtually dust free. It was a two day job and before they left the house each day they did a great job cleaning up. We have done a great deal of work in our house over the years and this was the first time I did not have to clean up after the workers. I highly recommend them.

Jerry and his brother did an outstanding job. They went above and beyond anything I could have ever expected. And when they say "dustless," they mean it. I've had my floors done by companies in the past that told me they were dustless... they weren't. But Jerry's equipment left no dust on the walls, surfaces or anywhere. It was truly a dustless process, and we didn't need to section off the house at all. In addition, they were extremely clean and fast. Not only are they skilled stainers, leaving no stain on any of the trim, but they're excellent carpenters too. Jerry repaired the thresholds in all of my rooms without me even asking because they weren't up to his standards. I highly recommend Jerry for any of your hardwood flooring needs!!

Jerry is very professional and knowledgable. He arrived with his assistant every morning at 8:00 and quickly got to work. They were both hard working and friendly. They cleaned up their work area and vacuumed before they left every day. I got a number of quotes from other companies and they were all around the same price. The other companies claimed that it was impossible not to have dust. I read Jerry's reviews on Angie's List and decided to go with him. I have a very open two story house, the last time I had my floors sanded there was dust everywhere. I can attest to the fact that with Jerry, it was really almost completely dust free. I picked out a color for my floor, but remarked that I was worried that it would be too dark. He lightened up the color and the floor looked great except for a couple areas that looked uneven. When I pointed out those areas and asked if he could fix just that one area he said no. He acknowledged that ithe one area was too dark and that it bothered him too. So Jerry re-sanded and re-stained all the rooms again. It's rare to find someone who takes so much pride in their work. The floors look truly beautiful and I can whole heartedly recommend Jerry.

They saved the day!! We had a previous company that did a terrible job. Jerry and his team came in and fixed all the problems (poor staining, rough floors, etc). They were excellent in every way - professional, high quality, friendly, etc

Jerry's service is truly dust-free. I was worried about cleaning up the after math of this project since I've heard previous complaints from others who had their floors redone. He moved my fridge and stove and hooked them back up. I'm impressed with the outcome - my kitchen floor looks brand new!!

Everything went exceptionally well. For the estimate, Jerry came on time and emailed the proposal within 1 day. I selected him because he seemed the most knowledeable of all people I had come to quote. He explained how he would do the work, especially on the stairs. A few of my neighbors had their stairs done, and the contractor simply put the oak tread on top of the existing stair. This makes the first stair higher that all others. Not with Jerry. He rebuilt the stairs. All stair heights are the same and they look like they were original to the house. When they started, they came on time, did their work, and cleaned up before they left every day. You almost couldn't tell they were there. The name Dust Free is true. I expected more dust, but there really was not much. In the rest of the house, when they were done, it was just like we hadn't dusted for about a week or so. Even on the construction days with cutting all the wood for the floors and stairs, there was no sawdust anywhere. The equipment he uses is super efficient. All in all, not much dust at all! The floors turned out great. I am very picky, and I can honestly say I am very happy with the results. No issues, no problems, just great work, performed on time. Jerry and his brother are nice guys and are very conscienscious about doing a good job. I would use him again in a heartbeat.

Jerry showed up in a timely fashion and gave me a verbal quote. After sending a written quote via email, he said he could do the job two days later. HIs price was appealing and included dust free sanding, something another company would charge extra for. The room was completed within a day. Several very dark stains were removed, and gaps were filled in. It looks great. I would highly recommend his company. He was a pleasure to deal with.

The work was scheduled for 9-23-15 but we were happily surprised that they were able to fit us in on 9-21-15. They arrived on time, kept our place neat and tidy, and did their work very efficiently. On the first day, they sanded, buffed, and applied the first coat of stain. Day 2 encompassed more sanding, buffing, and they completed the last two coats of stain.

I hired Jerry based upon two key factors. First, he was competitively priced versus the other four companies that bid the project. More importantly, Jerry guarantees dust free work. I was very skeptical when Jerry said that I didn't need to cover anything or tarp off rooms. My concern was unfounded. Everything Jerry uses is attached to a vacuum system with HEPA filtration. It's really cool. The process was completely dust free. Additionally, he doesn't need to pull the base shoe off of your base trim. He and his brother do all of the work and they do an incredible job sanding to the trim without damaging it. They were very friendly and accommodated our schedule as we lived in the house during the project. I'm a Realtor and I've developed and rehabbed dozens of properties. Jerry is one of the best I've worked with over the years. I was very impressed and heartily recommend Jerry's Dust Free Flooring.

Jerry was great, and we are very happy with the floors. They moved all of our furniture to do the work, including a heavy, upright piano, and carefully replaced it (putting felt pads on everything) in order to avoid damage when the floors were done. They also removed and hauled away our old carpet. I had my doubts about the work being "dust-free", but it truly was! There was absolutely no dust. The work was completed quickly, Jerry and his team were reliable, professional, and accommodating, and the floors look great!

Jerry and his crew were outstanding! We obtained three quotes from three hardwood contractors we found on Angie's list. Jerry's quote was the lowest but what sold us on Jerry was that he was the only one that told us we didn't have to move our beautiful grand piano out of the house prior to the job. He offered to move it to within the room and stain different areas of that room at different times to accommodate the piano. Brilliant;it looks great! I think this was the first example of how he went the extra mile in his work. We were so pleased with the job start to finish. Jerry took his time and was truly meticulous in every aspect of the job from furniture moving to cutting to staining and clean up. There was no rushing through to get done. He and his crew were in my home more than two weeks which really gave me a look at the high standards that he holds for himself and his crew. He devoted the last day to moving everything back into place to my specifications. We have utilized many contractors in our 25+ years of home ownership but my husband and I agree that none exceeded our expectations more than Jerry. He treated our floors as he would his own.

They finished the 800 sq feet of wood floors in three days, we were able to stay in the house, the floor dried in aprox. 2 hours. They also replaced the steel vent tops with flush mount wood grates. The main machine was located outside so the process was 99.9% dust free no special cleaning or masking off the house was necessary.

Exceptionally well. Jerry was the lowest bidder, was always prompt and courteous, and finished the job on time (he did all the work himself.) The quality of the work was very good. I would recommend Jerry without reservation.

Outstanding. Exceeded my expectations. First of all, it truly is totally dustless. And I mean totally. But I wasn't sure of that going in. The reason Jerry stood out from the others I interviewed for the work, was his obvious attention to detail and creativity. He suggested a transition board be put in a place that previously had a trim piece on top of the joint. It is beautiful now and no one stubs their toe on it any longer. In addition to the great quality of the work on the floors was the attention to all the little things. Jerry's price was a little higher than the other quotes but worth it. Jerry was punctual and returns messages the same day. He is a craftsman and clearly takes great pride in his work. I have sung his praises to all my friends because he was such a pleasure to work with and the process was so easy. I had heard many horror stories about cleaning up dust for months after getting floors done. What a wonderful experience.

wiJerry was very professional and meticulous about his process, including the requirement to have the wood floors in the house a full week before the actual installation so that the wood can acclimate itself to the home temperature. In the end, the new floors matched the existing hard wood floors almost exactly. And the fllors look fantastic. I plan to use him again when we replace the carpeting in our bedroom with wood.

We decided to replace the carpeting in three rooms and have the wood floor match the existing wood floors. We had several contractors come out. Jerry was a little less but that did not sell us on him. What sold us on him was that he said that he could match the existing wood floors, his price included moving all furniture (and there was a lot) and that there would be little to no dust. Jerry was also very responsive to all of my texts and phone calls. It took him a week to install the floors and he put down three coats. He did a great job on matching the color and his equipment was top notch. He even put felt on the bottom of all the furniture before moving it back on the new floors. If you want a great job at a reasonable price then Jerry is your guy. Thanks!!!

The first major project for a 1908 Foursquare was to have the floors refinished throughout the house. Jerry and his team had a big job, as the floors were of varying age and condition. We also needed our stairs refinished, including the posts and handrail. Jerry and his team did an excellent job. All aspects of the job were completed in 7 working days, and the mess was minimal. He was able to bring consistency of look back to all elements of the project, and the work on the stairs looks beautiful. He used water-based polyurethane, so the floors dried quickly and we could move on to other DIY projects. His pricing quote was a little higher than others, but we settled on a fair price for the job, and there were no additional hidden charges upon completion.

Jerry stopped by when he said he would and provided an estimate. We scheduled the job and he and his crew worked around our schedule. We wanted three bedrooms, a hall way and stairs done. We had five boards that needed to be replaced & you can't even tell which ones they were. We didn't want to move all the furniture up & down the stairs so we did 2 bedrooms, hall and the stairs. Then they came back to do the final bedroom a week later. Again, they arrived on time. He & his crew were prompt and did a wonderful job.

Jerry responded immediately when I called to get a quote for this job. He arrived on time, was thorough and professional. We had never had hardwood floors previously and he was very good at explaining our options. He emailed a proposal with all of the specifications as to what would be included in this job that same night. The job consisted of: furniture removal to the garage and return when the job was finished, removal of baseboards which were reinstalled at the end, along with new primed shoe moldings, removal of carpet, tile and linoleum, installation of 3 1/4 red oak, sanding the wood (which was truly dustless) staining the wood and applying 3 coats of finish. Flush mount vents were installed in the floor. Jerry also applied felt to the bottom of the furniture before returning it to the house. The floors turned out beautifully, even better than we had hoped. Jerry was very accommodating regarding scheduling as we needed the work to be done in a pretty tight time frame. Jerry and his crew, Fabian and Mark, arrived on time each day, worked hard and cleaned up at the end of the day and the house was spotless when they finished the job. They are all very personable so it was very pleasant to have them in our home. We would highly recommend this company.

He suggested using a water based polyurethane finish which had a very light odor that disappeared in a few hours. It also dried very quickly, allowing for an application of 3 coats in one day. While it is more of a matte finish than high gloss, it appears to be very durable. Our dogs are adjusting to walking on a surface that is slicker than it looks. The entire job took 4 days, 2 for each half of the house and looks terrific. We are no longer ashamed of our floors.
