Choice home warranty sent this company to repair my furnace. when the repair failed they sent another company who reported back that the sloppy and inferior repair done by home guard was the cause of the current failure of my furnace. as a result Choice Home warranty VOIDED my warranty and refused to pay for the cost of repairing home guards sloppy workmanship or any FUTURE failures of the furnace. my total out of pocket cost was $835. Home guard has refused to respond to multiple phone calls and emails even though their insurance should cover my costs. stay away from this company

HGHA came out to disagnose the problem. The tech was on time and moderately nice, but no where near an A. He did not have the part needed to properly fix the furnace so he told us he would order it and come back. After a few days and no follow-up call, we called HGHA back and they scheduled time the following weekend to install the part. Everything seemed to be fine. Except for the fact we had to follow-up about the second visit, and the first time they came out took about 5 phone calls / messages before they would respond, we were moderately satisfied. About 2 weeks later, the furnace failed again (exact same problem as before) so whatever HGHA did, it didn't fix the problem. Additionally, the blower now makes a horrendous noise - it sounds like it needs to be put out of its misery (this is a 4-year old furnace, by the way). We called the warranty company on Monday who then called HGHA to come back out. HGHA never called us. We also called HGHA on Monday and Wednesday - no one answered the phone (during one call the automated voicemail said the mailbox was full and wasn't accepting messages). By Saturday (today), our furnace still isn't working and we called the warranty company and also HGHA. HGHA still didn't answer (they must not like working weekends) so we're going to put more pressure on our warranty company to send us a qualified repair tech to fix the job the first time and do it right. For now, I'm going to stay away from HGHA - and so should you.
Description of Work: I have a home warranty through another provider and I ran into trouble with my furnace. I called in for service and they sent out Home Guard Heating and Air (HGHA). They came out and (attempted) to fix the furnace...but were unsuccessful.
