First of all, I am an electrical engineer and I've seen a lot of electrical installations and done a considerable amount of residential work myself. In talking to the owner Paul prior to the start of work, I learned immediately that he is very detail-oriented and has the highest regard for quality and workmanship. He noted that, even though what he installs will be for the most part hidden behind the ceilings and walls, he still feels that it should look good before it gets covered up. He wasn't kidding either as his installation work is excellent. Finally, Paul has an excellent understanding of the National Electric Code as well as local amendments (at least here in Oak Park, IL). Lastly and probably most important of all: He's a Blackhawks fan! Paul and his employees are not only technically sound, they are extremely pleasant. My wife and I work out of our house and they performed the work without being distracting to either of us. They clean up their messes at the end of each shift and I don't find coffee cups, cigarette butts and other trash around our house, on the porch, in the back yard, etc. This speaks volumes to their professionalism and respect for their customers. Finally, they show up punctually and are very hard workers. The Ericsson Group is definitely a stand-out on Angies List and I am grateful that I was put in contact with Paul and company. I am beyond happy with their work, the price and the overall experience. I will be hiring them to do the electrical work in my 2nd floor remodel provided that they can fit me into their schedule.
