Overall we have enjoyed our service. There was an issue that arose during one treatment and the way Emerald handled the situation is why I will continue with them. After a treatment, there were some issues in the front of our house. With no one around, no way of proving who caused the issue (neighbor, passerby, additional service like UPS or water delivery) and the ability to deny any wrong doing, Emerald did not. I met Mark in my driveway and expressed my concern about the issue. Mark knew there was a good possibiity it was caused while they were servicing my yard and took ownership for the issue with no excuses and promptly worked to make the situation right at their cost. To me this said a lot about the integrity of the Emerald and their employees. I will continue using Emerald as I trust and can attest to the fact that they will always do the right thing.

Everything has been going very well, and it's been a good experience. The owner of the company has been really proactive and involved which I appreciate, and the technicians have been applying the treatments on schedule. In fact, the owner called to say that his technician would be making a follow up treatment at no extra cost since there is still some excessive weed growth in the back of the house. He also told me to call whenever I have any weed issues as this is part of the package.

After searched for a while to find the lawn service company for my rental house, Emerald lawn Care entered into my radar screen, I compared lots of details: service, price, available etc, I finally decided they are the winner of my extensive search, they have been in the close communication with me(primarily by email) since, and they send me the report and pic whenever they stop by which is a big plus to me. I got the pretty bad lawn and things start turn over after two applications, can not recommend more.

This is part 2 of the previous review. We have had 2 slow release fertilizer applications and 1 weed control application so far (in last 2 months). I must say the results are obvious and outstanding. Before we started the applications, I had turf of 2 different colors. One was the new sod which was laid out in a small area and was dark green (as it should be) and the rest of the lawn which was turning yellowish green. There were weeds all over the place and the grass was so hard that one could not walk on the lawn bare feet. After these 3 applications I am happy to report that the entire lawn is now dark green and grass is super soft. The weeds are all gone too. It is amazing to see how much it has improved in last 2 months. We still have crabgrass issue but that is because we could not get the crabgrass pre-emergent done this season due to starting late and having seeded in most areas. However I am confident that we will overcome this issue too with time. Through out this process Mark (the owner) has been very patient with my questions and concerns. He would continuously check the progress and health of the lawn by personally doing a tour every couple of weeks and then emailing me his observations and recommendations. He also makes sure I am informed at least 1 day in advance of the upcoming application and that it does not conflict with my scheduled mowing visit. There are still couple of applications pending for this season and I am very confident that they will continue to improve upon the existing conditions and make us enjoy our lawn even more. Great company to work with !! More to come in future.

Used Emerald Lawn Care for several years - and not a weed in sight! When I recently moved to a townhouse, Mark allowed me to cancel my contract and refunded the unused portion of the money I had paid in advance. Wonderful service and good people.

The cost was for a full season of lawn care, but so far with only the first application complete I can see a huge improvement in my lawn. I also like that they have not tried to sell me more products or services - just provided what I requested.

I was looking for lawn care companies who would come out and manage our turf on an annual basis. Our turf is in a bad state and various areas are either just thinning out or are very patchy. We recently also did some seeding and sodding and so we wanted to be sure we hire the right company. Mark who is the owner, was spot on from the very beginning. He was very accomodating of the appointment time and even agreed to come out on a Sunday to discuss and view my yard. When most companies wanted to just see the house using google maps and give pricing, Mark dedicated 1 hour of his time on a Sunday. Talk about customer service ! I explained and showed Mark the various areas in our yard and the problems we are facing. I also showed him various areas where seeding/sodding has been done. He listned very patiently to all my problems and requirements. Based on my questions and concerns Mark understood that I am looking for detailed explanation of the work and every answer he gave clearly depicted that. He explained in great detail exactly what needs to be done, when it should be done and why. He also suggested various things which I can do on my end to maintain the lawn better. He was very upfront and honest about what is practically achievable given my lawn conditions. It is rare to find a company who spends so much time detailing out all the work for their client. Obviously, I went ahead and signed him up for annual maintainence. The applications are yet to start but I am quite positive they would produce the same spectacular results. I will do another review when the services have been performed and the results are visible.

The package for all five treatments costs about $230. Mark, the owner, is fantastic. We have been having problems with our yard so he came out to do some soil samples. Then he spent about 25 minutes with me on the phone going over issues I might want to look into. Even though he told me there are some things he does not do he was really helpful getting us in touch with the right people to do the job. He suggested we not do the overseeding in the spring, but rather in the fall, so it sounded like he was not trying to oversell us.

Great experience during our first season with Emerald in 2013. We had monthly applications throughout spring to fall. This was our first year in our home and we received many compliments on our lawn! We of course continued our services for this upcoming 2014 season. Mark is great to work with, very responsive, informative, and accommodating to our requests. Looking forward to seeing green this upcoming year too, thanks Emerald!!

Emerald lawn car has done a great job with our yard sense we bought our house. They have a yearly program that we signed up for (Fertilization and Weed Control). They don't bother you with every little thing like the larger fertilization company's do. If you ever have any question Mark always get back to you. We are very happy with Emerald Lawn Care.

Our lawn went from light green, weedy and grub infested to thick, green and bug free within weeks of Emerald Lawn Care's first treatment. We are more than satisfied. The lawn looks beautiful. Emerald Lawn Care's staff is professional, efficient and prompt. They do what they say they will do, when they say they will do it. We are so grateful for finding this company on Angie's List!

The uniformed technician is very nice and answers all of my questions. He is very knowledgeable about what is going on. It was a very fair price and our yard is weed free after working with them.

I contacted Emerald by email through their website and was contacted promptly the next business day by the owner. We discussed my lawn's needs, and Mark even took the time to go over the hows, whats, and whys of treatments, general care and cutting, and grub and insect issues. They came out and provided two treatments (both a weed control and a fertilization) to catch me up in the early/late spring treatment time frame. The weeds have been dying off, and I noticed an improvement within days. My lawn (okay...grass) was in pretty bad shape and in need of a professional's touch to bring it back to life, and I am eager to see the results as treatments progress. So far...so good!

Continuing service done on time. Mark provided a review and estimate of the work needed to get the lawn back in shape. He is professional and courteous. Does not oversell. Too soon to tell if we are successful.

Some of our neighbors used them, and they had good review on Angie's List. They are pretty quick about it and don't get in the way.

My lawn looks amazing! After switching from a different company that I had used for several years, in just one season the troublesome weeds are gone, the lawn has filled in where the weed patches had been, and the grass looks healthier. Mark is very easy to work with in setting up a program for your own needs and concerns. I have already made one adjustment to the program based on the results of last year and renewed for the 2012 season.

They are honest, they follow-up when they say they are going to, they come when they say they are going to, and their bills are accurate. They people that come are friendly and answer my questions. I have no complaints about them at all. They do great work and there are never any surprises.

Mark was easy to deal with, professional and prompt in the quote process, and offered me a discount for prepayment on the contract. The spray applications were timely and thorough. We had no problems with scab this year. I would hire Emerald in the future for ANY lawn service that I needed. It was truly refreshing to deal with a genuinely competent contractor.

Even though my contract includes 6 visits, if there are ever any issues, they will come back again at no charge. They are a local family-owned company. Matt and his team are always professional and do a great job. It's well worth it to have a healthy, good looking lawn.

The gentleman was very nice. The quote came when I contacted them. They did not take too much time to come and quote me. They seemed to be very nice. I rate them high overall, and I will consider them for another quote in the future.
